View Full Details of Augusta CourtMy Nan joined your lovely care home almost 2 years ago now. Your staff helped us as a family through a difficult transition and we are all so happy with the care and support given. I'm always seeing pictures of my Nan with a smile on her face and dancing at every opportunity. The food looks amazing and there is always an event to celebrate. Thank you everyone
My wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's early in 2020 and last August (2024) her Alzheimer's became sufficiently severe that she needed professional care. She moved into Augusta Court in August 2024 - initially for two weeks' respite care - but she settled in so well that in discussion with our children we arranged for her residence to become permanent. I normally visit my wife almost every day and I never cease to be amazed by the care and patience that the staff provide to all the residents. Well done Augusta Court, and many thanks to all the staff.
My mother has now been with Augusta Court for a little over 2.5 years. Her care and best interests are continually at the forefront of the staff and carers. You just get that safe and secure feeling when entering the premises. Always met with a smile, normally with an offer for a cuppa at the same time. And most importantly Mum is home, safe and very happy. Recent events with the Council and funding support have brought out further exceptional support from the Home with staff bending over backwards to provide continuing care for Mum. This Home should be used as the exemplar for all homes, it is nothing short of outstanding in its care, upkeep and general desire to do well in everything the staff and Home set their sites on. Thank You Augusta Court.
The home is very well run and my 93 year old mother's well being has dramatically improved since she moved to the home nearly four years ago. The food is very good and the chef has a good manner with residents. Particularly reassuring is the frequency of visits of a doctor to the home and the organisation of all medical matters. The staff are very good and there is a varied programme of activities.
The staff at Augusta take good care of my dad and make him feel engaged. He loves the food. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. My dad has made some good friends. The home has recently been painted and the garden is lovely
Dad went into the precious care of Augusta Court in August 2023, when his health had declined to a point that he could no longer stay in the excellent care of my brother and his wife. It was a massive step for Dad, who found moving from my brother's home into care a very difficult step in his life. However, the transition was made so much easier with the advice and wisdom of the wonderful manager and her excellent team and at all times I felt Dad's dignity and wellbeing were respected. Dad settled shortly after and I couldn't have wished more for the 20 months that Dad lived at Augusta Court. This beautifully kept home became a real home for Dad, as it did for me and my family. I can't express how grateful I am for the kindness, consideration, devotion and pure humanity that the manager and her team showed. Augusta Court was such a happy place to visit. Thank you to you all for making Dad's last months very special. We were so lucky to have found you.
I gave into your care the most precious thing I have - my husband of sixty years. You have never let me down. Thank you!
My father was a resident of Augusta Court from September 2023 - March 2025 before he peacefully passed away. I had strongly recommended Augusta Court to my siblings as the best place locally for our father to be with his increasing frailty due to Dementia. This was because when I worked as a District Nurse in Chichester it was the care home that most impressed me - a place that fostered residents still living an enjoyable life as much as possible , not waiting to die. I was then, and continued to be during my fathers stay, so impressed with the staff and the overall ethos of the home through all grades/ roles. The compassion, kindness and patience of staff members was fantastic, as was the warm welcome I always received when visiting.
I have been very well looked after. Staff are very kind. It was very difficult to try and mix as most patients had mental problems. The food was good and variable. Thank you Augusta Court and thank you staff.
I have found the entire team to be excellent in all aspects of care, compassion and communication. From the first day of my mother's care I've been at ease knowing she was in the best place with the nicest people. Thank you all
My mum was resident at Augusta Court (AC) from November 2024 to March 2025 when she passed quietly away. One of the key reasons that we chose AC was the length of service of the head of home and the deputy head. Both had 16+ years at AC - an indicator to me that the owners and the team had something special going on. The team at AC were fantastic not only in looking after my mum, treating her with respect & dignity, but also in keeping the family informed as to how she was and what was going on during her care - GP & nurse reviews, general updates etc. Also, the team leaders all shared information amongst themselves such that I never felt that I had to wait for a specific person to get an answer. If I had to mark them down, but only a little, it would be that mum's flat was a little tired and could have done with a "spruce up".
I cannot praise the staff at Augusta Court enough. Their attention to detail with resident and visiting family friends is amazing. The facilities are fantastic i.e. A Friday bar, hair salon and each resident has their own flat allowing our family member to keep up with their independence and hygiene routine. From management, night, day staff, cooks, cleaners and all maintenance are outstanding, thank you for making my mothers stay so remarkable.
My father has now passed away peacefully in his sleep. This is what I wrote to the Manager, Once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you and everyone at Augusta Court for looking after my father so beautifully over the last 18 months of his life. Even from the tricky first couple of months, my Dad knew only love and affection from your staff, and this contributed so much to his happiness. I confess that I have never singled out any one particular staff member for praise as everyone I encountered treated my father with respect and dignity, and for those who knew him better, genuine affection. Visiting Augusta Court was always a pleasure, and from the very first I was made to feel welcome and relaxed, as if one big family. I am so grateful that my Dad was able to spend this time happy and being so well looked after. I shall miss visiting him.
Mum had a hip replacement after a fall. We needed somewhere for her to recuperate after she was discharged from hospital. Augusta Court were really good. She was able to go home after two weeks in their care. The room was nice with an en-suite shower (wet) room. A nice big window with natural daylight. The staff were all lovely. If Mum ever needs to have convalescence care again our first choice would be Augusta Court.
Every time I visited mum in Augusta Court I knew I had made the right choice for her. The staff were always so friendly and kind, as well as respectful - and they were so good at keeping me informed. I cannot thank them enough for their care of mum... and the support they gave me.
My mother has been living at Augusta Court for two years now, having celebrated her second anniversary this Christmas of 2024. While her dementia has progressed and changed the way she spends her days, I am incredibly thankful for the attentive care she receives. The management team and all the care staff go above and beyond to meet her needs, and the kitchen staff prepare wonderful meals with great care. The warm and inviting atmosphere at Augusta Court truly uplifts both residents and staff alike, who consistently display cheerfulness, professionalism, and genuine compassion. The food is not only delicious but also diverse, with fish and chips being a beloved weekly favorite among the residents. Occasionally, you might find them enjoying themselves in the lovely pub-inspired room, where they can gaze out at the beautiful garden view. I feel immense gratitude and joy for my mother's time at Augusta Court; she always greets me with a smile when I visit.
The staff are wonderful. My every need is catered for.
Our mother was a resident at Augusta Court for nearly 3 years, until she passed away in her sleep. She was very well cared for by the whole team who were always friendly and attentive towards her, responding well to any concerns. Our friend moved to Augusta Court over two years ago when she could no longer cope at home. She quickly became settled and happy and was very appreciative of the care and interest taken in her. The daily activities extended her interests and allowed her to integrate and become part of the family of residents. She especially appreciated the visits from the local nursery school and the times of singing. As her needs increased the care team sensitively adjusted their help, always keeping me informed of any proposed changes and asking if I had any further requirements. During her last days, she was especially well looked after, being provided with a more suitable bed and more intensive care. I am so grateful we chose Augusta Court for our friend.
