My aunt was dressed and prepared for our visit, thanks to my cousin telling the staff we were visiting. She was pleased to see us and very happy and talking to us. We were able to make coffee in the kitchen. We had a lovely conversation with staff afterwards.

My mother was a resident in Firth House 6 years ago, and was very happy. Now I visit a good friend, and it's still an excellent care home.

I came to visit my dad, and it was nice to see him sitting in the lounge area looking comfortable and well cared for. The staff are very friendly and caring, and I have had nothing but good experiences and good interactions with all the staff I've met that have cared for my dad. It is a real weight off my mind to know he is so well looked after. Thank you.

My Dad moved into Firth House after a short illness in hospital and he was no longer able to live independently.
The staff and management there were super helpful in assisting with his transfer from hospital to Firth House.
Once he was in there the love, care and support he received was second to none. Every single member of staff looked after him well.

Sadly Dad passed away soon after moving in. We would have loved his care in Firth House to have been for longer. The Firth House team were like his extended family and I felt the same when my Mum lived there previously too. Thank you to all the staff at Firth House.

My Dad was only in Firth House for a short time, having not been well enough to return home after a spell in hospital.
The staff and managers at Firth House were kind and helpful when we were organising his transfer from hospital, very welcoming towards Dad and incredibly supportive of all the family.

Dad's end of life care from the wonderful staff at Firth House and the GPs who work with them was dignified and we were touched by the care he received. Firth House is a very caring community and feels like an extended family. We are sorry he didn't get to enjoy living there for longer.

Dad was admitted in February 2025 due to unforeseen circumstances. It was a very trying time for dad and myself as he was adamant that he would never go into care and was quite resistant with all the staff. All the staff were absolutely brilliant with him and his moods and behaviour they deserve a medal. Now June he has settled and has started to join in the activities, something that I never thought I would see him do. Thanks to all the staff.

MY mother lived at Firth House for 6 years. She suffered from ongoing dementia during this period, the experience that both my mother and myself was always super. I got to know the manager and the staff well and often shared a cup of tea during my visits. Prior to my mother moving into Firth House was quite insular, bordering on anti-social, but thanks to the daily activities, she became more cheerful and socialised with other residents - thank you.

Firth House was Dad's happy home for over 2 years. All the staff treated him with love and compassion, care and dignity. He enjoyed many of the activities especially a new found enthusiasm for dancing and meeting visiting furry friends including a llama and a sheep. On Burns night, the haggis was ceremonially accompanied by a bagpiper in full regalia. Words cannot express my gratitude for helping my mum and I with such kindness at a very difficult time.
