I have visited a few times, the last time in december to take my friend out to lunch. I always find the home very friendly & welcoming on entering. The home has regular activities going on for all clients & is attended well. The staff are attentive, friendly & caring with the clients. Its always a pleasure to visit.

The care and attention all the staff gave to my late husband was outstanding. In my opinion they went above and beyond to look after him from the day he was admitted until the end of life.

I am a friend of a service user who lives at Firth House, all I can say is this care home is fabulous. The staff are so caring, efficient and welcoming, the range of activities and special events they do are great for the residents and get everyone involved. It's like one big family, they love it when we take our dog in to visit and always make a fuss of her.

Lovely welcoming staff. Brought our dog and they couldn't have been more accommodating. My wife's nana seems well cared for and settled in Firth House. She likes the activities and her private room has a nice outlook.

Firth house is a wonderful place for my nana. I would fully recommend it. It is like home from home. From the minute you walk inside staff greet you like family. They know every resident as if they were their own relatives and the compassion they have for each individual is obvious. My nana is always clean when we visit, wearing her own clean clothes with her hair done and is often engaged in activities arranged by the home, which is great as she is quite a sociable sort. We are allowed to take the dog to see her as she adores dogs and they facilitate us taking Nana out to town with the loan of a wheelchair etc. I doubt there are many care homes left as brilliant as Firth house! Keep up the good work team!

I am very happy with the service my mother is receiving at Firth House. All the staff are attentive, welcoming and friendly. There are a variety of activities that my mother can attend, and she is really enjoying the food! Having relocated from another care home in Germany, the staff have ensured that my mother has felt at home from the start, and has settled in very well. Thank you to everyone!

Our granny had lived at Firth House for around two and a half years, in this time she had declined in her physical and mental health but the staff at Firth House made a great effort to maintain her care and dignity, giving reassurance and support throughout to granny and our family. Unfortunately, granny became unexpectedly poorly and required end-of-life care. The staff at Firth House supported us as a family to keep granny comfortable and content in her own room as she saw this as her home, the staff at Firth House generally work very hard at keeping residents happy and safe but as granny was near the end of her life they absolutely excelled at ensuring she and our family had everything needed for her final stages of life. Thank you so much for the kindness and care given to granny throughout her stay at Firth House.

Overall Experience
My mother-in-law was in a care home in Germany for 2 years, both her physical and mental health declined significantly over the last six months; exasperated by regular falls. We resigned ourselves that she would not improve and brought her back to be close to us all. The interactions with the staff and the care attention (after only 2 days) at Firth House, were so significant that one can only draw the conclusion that a well-staffed and caring residential home is key to ensuring the dignity of the elderly.
We arrived to find an eagerly chatty, engaging lady, well cared for. To top it off, she no longer feared getting up to walk, although aided she walked to the dining room, something we thought was impossible.
Thank you to the team leader and the rest of the staff.
If I was to encapsulate the ethos of Firth House; the energy is extremely positive, the patients are treated with dignity and an abundance of respect.

Thank you.

My grandad has been in Firth House now for over a year and I'm so thankful for how well cared for he is. Ever since day one and settling Firth House care staff have been there and ensure every single aspect of grandad's well well-being is catered for. Upon visits to grandad he always states how happy he is and how well cared for he is and that he is in such a good home. He literally has nothing but praise and appreciation for the whole team, and him smiling on every visit gives so much reassurance. When tough days have come there's always been staff about with absolute care and understanding and always been able to feel I can speak to someone. It's lovely to see social postings within the care home as a whole including activities within the main lounge and residents being involved with every aspect. I'm so grateful my grandad has gone to live in a care setting where every single member gives the most professional care. Thank you so much to you all.

Mum is well settled and comfortable and obviously enjoying the food provided. Whilst she doesn't remember the various activities it is a comfort seeing the various social media updates where she is obviously fully engaged and enjoying her time there. The staff are all very caring and I get comfort myself knowing she is well cared for.

Very good to be around, they are brilliant with the residents, very very helpful, and the manager is so helpful with everyone. My uncle is like my dad because he brought me up and only the best will do. He loves it at Firth House and they all love him, but not as much as me.

My mother has been a resident of Firth House for several years and the care she has received has been first-class. The staff are wonderful in the way they care for her, they treat her with respect ensuring her dignity is respected at all times and her hygiene is cared for. I have confidence in approaching management should I have any concerns knowing that they are acted on. The food is first class with a good menu.
