My wife and I visited many homes, before deciding on Overstone and we are so glad we chose this one. Having a nice building, great rooms and lovely furnishings is one thing, but what really made makes this place stand out are the team there, they are fantastic - really can't stay speak highly enough of them.

The management team and admin staff are very accessible and very proactive.

They genuinely care, take time to find out about all the residents and ensure they are included as much as they want to be in social activities (without being intrusive). Good choice of food (cakes baked in house always available for visitors on reception are superb!!), everywhere is clean and there is generally a very good atmosphere everywhere you go. We would have no hesitation in recommending this Overstone House.

From the first visit to view Overstone care home the staff were very helpful and welcoming and when my mother in law left hospital and became a resident they were all very friendly and made her feel at home and settled. They all took such good care of her and could not do enough for her.

Her room was very clean and well suited to her needs.

My mother first came to the home on the 11th March 2026
Outstanding after spending over 8 weeks in hospital.
The home were very welcoming to both my mother and all of the immediate family who came to visit her on a regular basis.
Although her time in the home was short before she passed away, the management and staff made every effort to make her last few weeks as enjoyable and comfortable as possible, even to the extent of going out and purchasing her favourite food. They always had time to try and entice her out of her room to socialise and eat with the other residents.
They also tried to get her involved in some of the less strenuous activities even though she was 93 years young and didn't show much interest.
We have developed a close bond with all the managers and staff at the home and will continue to be in contact with them all for a long time.

We were extremely grateful to receive a beautiful bunch of flowers from everyone at the home stating how sorry they were for our loss.

From our initial visit the management team at Overstone were extremely helpful and professional. Their guidance and support have been one of a kind. It is clear they value their staff and residents. After my mum moved in for respite all of the staff have been fantastic, engaging and provide regular feedback. The facilities and rooms are beautiful and have such a homely feel. I feel happy knowing my mum is receiving the best possible care.

Mum spent her final months at Overstone House and the care she received was amazing. The staff always had a smile and Mum was always laughing. When Mum was ill the care provided by the staff and management went further to include the whole family which was greatly appreciated. Knowing how much they cared was wonderful.

Love coming to visit my partners grandad at the home. The staff are always very welcoming and happy to help in anyway. Recently held a birthday party for him and they helped organise food and decorations and made the day feel very special for him and us alike.
Always lots of events and entertainment going on for the residents and plenty that we can get involved in also.

The annual dog show being a particular favourite with people from the surrounding communities bringing along their pets to enter. With prizes and rosettes given out to winners. All the residents come out to watch and it creates a real garden party atmosphere.

Upon entering Overstone House, a beautiful vibe. All staff so helpful and just lovely. Staff actively encourage my mum to take part in everything which is wonderful to see. Mum's room, warm and inviting and kept very nice. Mum is kept lovely with the personal care provided, and she enjoys the meals, and eating in the invited environment, with the other residents. Mum is treated with dignity and all my queries dealt with promptly. So far after only joining in December a beautiful experience.

Mum was quite unwell in December with chest pains and staff very good dealing with her and taking appropriate action. Plenty of Christmas activities on for all to enjoy whatever level of ability. Young male singer is exceptionally good with all the residents and if unable to get up will give them instruments to use, so all included. Management easy to approach and discuss any concerns. Receptionist always give a lovely welcome as do all the staff.

I am a visitor to Peter and a good friend of Aline's. I constantly see great workers, great work, and consistent attention to staff. Treating residents so well. Super standards and awareness to families concerns. Staff respond quickly, especially Kieron, who sped off to Wellingborough to sort Peter's glasses that broke.

My mother has been a resident since January 2025. She entered the home following a major stroke and needed assistance with many areas of her daily life. Unable to move independently initially, she is now able to walk short distances using a walking frame. She was underweight on admission but due to the tasty, healthy meals she is receiving (she loves her food) she is now at an acceptable weight.
She enjoys the many stimulating activities that are on offer, which are keeping her active both physically and mentally.
We are thankful to all the staff who contribute to mum's care they have all paid a part in the vast improvement we have seen in her since she first arrived.

The staff are very approachable and we feel able to discuss any aspect of mum's care we may have queries over .They always contact us promptly if they have any concerns.

My Dad has Alzheimer's and came on respite but his health deteriorated slightly and he is now a permanent resident of Overstone House and I'm very glad he is.
The home is modern, more closely resembling a hotel and the staff are very knowledgeable, caring, helpful and very upbeat.

Dad is so much better overall now he's not trying to struggle on at home on his own and he's much more stimulated mentally too.

My father in law went in as respite but due to some health complications he has decided the best thing to do is to become a permanent resident as he is so happy there. Care staff and care home are amazing and my husband is now relieved to know his dad is being looked after and he now has no worries about him being at home on his own.

Dad entered overstone house as a respite care initially but due to his issues with Alzheimer's, his mobility and his stubbornness he is now a full time resident and is looking better than he has done in years of us trying to care for him at home. He is more than happy with his room the care provided and the carers, the company of other residents and other residents family members that all interact with him. It really is like one big happy family. As for the staff, the care, the rooms and the actual overall home is truly amazing. As a family we couldn't be happier to rest now knowing dads looked after and actually enjoying being there at overstone house!

Karen Eastwood
Karen EastwoodJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2024
I started my career in sales and customer service positions in various settings. I gained a lot of experience in customer relations which led me to train in floristry and start my own business in Greece.
15 years ago, I changed career completely, working as a community home carer in Norfolk. Following this I moved to Northampton and became a rehab support worker in acquired brain injury, at this point I knew that I’d found my passion in care and determined to progress my career in this area. I went back to university and trained as a nurse, I returned to practice and gained knowledge and experience, progressing from junior to senior management, and finally taking up the role of registered home manager.
If I’m honest, I started working in care purely for the convenience of childcare and working hours; I am a naturally caring person and with family commitments to consider, this seemed like the perfect job for me. It didn’t take long to realise that this was where I wanted to be, working in care gave me the opportunity to make a difference, which gave me great satisfaction. My role has changed significantly over the years, but I still get that same satisfaction everyday making a difference to the lives of my residents and their families. I love getting to know my residents and what they need to ensure this happens.
I have very high standards and expect the same from my team. I plan to make Overstone House the best residential care home in the area. I strongly believe everyone is different and unique and should be treated accordingly by offering the best standards of person-centred care.

When I'm not working, I like to unwind by spending time outdoors exploring new places, especially if there are mountain views and waterfalls. My passion for hiking, cycling, climbing, and kayaking has led me to discover new places and new adventures.

Alexandra Neagu
Alexandra NeaguJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2022

Alexandra has been working in the care industry for over 8 years when she began her career in housekeeping, quickly moving across into care when she secured a job as a care assistant. Alexandra began her career with Anchor at our sister home, Glenvale Park where she worked her way up to deputy, eventually transferring across to us here at Overstone, where she took on the role of deputy manager.

Alexandra always wanted to work in the caring industry, initially, she wanted to be a nurse or a paramedic, however as Alex worked her way up through the ranks she very quickly realised that she had found her vocation in care.

When Alex is not here at Overstone House, caring for our residents and supporting our team, she loves to spend time cooking and baking, and spending time with her family. Alex has a husband and one son, and enjoying quality time with them is extremely important to her.
