After a shaky start, with her falling over on numerous occasions and a price hike after only a couple of months, which was not, in our opinion, the correct thing to do. We should have been informed of this from the start. Nothing things seem to have settled down, and she seems happy, which is the most important factor.

Staff are incredibly patient and understanding of my mother, her needs and her care requirements. She is settling in well and interacting with people, which she has always struggled with. Everyone is very professional, and her dignity is always a priority. I cannot express my gratitude to everyone for this.

Very pleased with the care. The facilities are lovely. The home is clean, fresh and inviting, also homely.
Meals are home-cooked and have a nice selection, and the food is plentiful.

Visitors are welcomed, and residents look well cared for and appear happy.

We really enjoyed visiting our relative at Overstone House. I was clean, bright and warm. The staff were amazing, kind and welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. We will miss visiting there.

I can’t fault the care they provide. The carers are kind and thoughtful and have respect for the residents.
The staff are always happy, and nothing is too much trouble.
I would say the only thing is that my dad wears a sheath, and a lot of the staff don’t have any experience dealing with them, so in-house training with these would be beneficial to residents and carers.
I am disappointed that the fees are going up as we were not expecting an increase until Dad had been a resident for a year.

Thank you all for making Dad and my family welcome - keep up the good work.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the home.

Overstone House is beautifully presented. The facilities in the rooms are of a very good standard. The staff are kind and approachable. My auntie has received very good care with a level of patience and understanding which has enabled her to settle.

Dad has been at Overstone for about a month or so. It is a lovely new building and very open to visitors, either family or friends.
We were very worried that Dad would not settle as he never wanted to leave his home of 70 years.
We are very happy that he has accepted where he is now and is being looked after by a team of wonderful caring people.
It is always lovely to visit him, and there are no restrictions. Our daughters and their families enjoy visiting too.
Dad has put on weight since coming, and despite his condition, seems very happy where he is now.

Well done to all the staff.

From the very first time I stepped through the doors of Overstone House, I felt trust in the staff and in the environment - that they would provide what my father needed. The fact that it is a new home and pristine in every way added to my confidence. My father came to the home, not knowing it was his forever home, but from his last day and night was "at home", enjoying the attention and interaction with carers. Your policy of allowing visitors at any time is a tremendous asset. My father's visitors have also commented on how well my father is and how lovely they have found both home, staff and environment. Thank you all.

My mum came to Overstone House after being in respite and then being admitted to the hospital. The assessments carried out by Overstone were done thoroughly and quickly due to my mum being discharged from the hospital, and we (the family) were able to get Mum's room looking homely with her ornaments and clothes etc. The staff welcomed my mum with open arms and have been very patient, respectful and supportive of Mum since she moved in. They are all so friendly and approachable with both Mum and all our family. I feel so reassured Mum is being looked after so well.

I started my career in sales and customer service positions in various settings. I gained a lot of experience in customer relations which led me to train in floristry and start my own business in Greece.
15 years ago, I changed career completely, working as a community home carer in Norfolk. Following this I moved to Northampton and became a rehab support worker in acquired brain injury, at this point I knew that I’d found my passion in care and determined to progress my career in this area. I went back to university and trained as a nurse, I returned to practice and gained knowledge and experience, progressing from junior to senior management, and finally taking up the role of registered home manager.
If I’m honest, I started working in care purely for the convenience of childcare and working hours; I am a naturally caring person and with family commitments to consider, this seemed like the perfect job for me. It didn’t take long to realise that this was where I wanted to be, working in care gave me the opportunity to make a difference, which gave me great satisfaction. My role has changed significantly over the years, but I still get that same satisfaction everyday making a difference to the lives of my residents and their families. I love getting to know my residents and what they need to ensure this happens.
I have very high standards and expect the same from my team. I plan to make Overstone House the best residential care home in the area. I strongly believe everyone is different and unique and should be treated accordingly by offering the best standards of person-centred care.

When I'm not working, I like to unwind by spending time outdoors exploring new places, especially if there are mountain views and waterfalls. My passion for hiking, cycling, climbing, and kayaking has led me to discover new places and new adventures.

Alexandra NeaguJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2022

Alexandra has been working in the care industry for over 8 years when she began her career in housekeeping, quickly moving across into care when she secured a job as a care assistant. Alexandra began her career with Anchor at our sister home, Glenvale Park where she worked her way up to deputy, eventually transferring across to us here at Overstone, where she took on the role of deputy manager.

Alexandra always wanted to work in the caring industry, initially, she wanted to be a nurse or a paramedic, however as Alex worked her way up through the ranks she very quickly realised that she had found her vocation in care.

When Alex is not here at Overstone House, caring for our residents and supporting our team, she loves to spend time cooking and baking, and spending time with her family. Alex has a husband and one son, and enjoying quality time with them is extremely important to her.
