Eric Morecambe House

from R W (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Not our first experience with a care home provider having previously housed an Aunt, but with that knowledge Eric Morecambe House was our standout choice for mum and we are not disappointed. She is genuinely happy and well settled, she loves it here. The food and activities in particular are beyond
comparison, and the level of care provided by the Manager and her team is second to none - there's a real connection to and knowledge about their residents. We had a good feeling about EMH when we walked in and saw the manager 7 years after first touring the home with her (my Aunt couldn't get in, no room), that continuity is priceless, and they have many long-standing staff members. Having toured many homes and experienced some previously, we rate Eric Morecambe House very highly as a care home provider and we are so grateful to have mum live here.

From the 1st day we felt this was a place where Mum would be safe and well cared for. Staff were friendly and responsive and always dealt with any questions or issues with courtesy and understanding. We asked if Mum could move floors and do more activities and this was granted to us. The home was always
clean and Mum was well fed and all her needs catered for. I would have no hesitation recommending Oakleigh to others.

Mum was in Herries Lodge for six years but sadly passed away two years ago, and throughout that time, the care and support from the staff was excellent. Now my sister in law's mother is a resident. Once again, I can only say things haven't changed. The staff are lovely, making sure everyone receives

Lovely place.

My aunt has lived at Cranlea for around 3 years and we are so happy with how she is cared for. She especially enjoyed a visit from a New Castle Football Player in the 90's, lots going on within the care home for people to join in with.

Couldn't recommend this care home enough at Gills Top. They looked after my grandad with great care and affection from day one. The facilities are amazing and they go above and beyond with everything they provide for all residents. Nothing is ever to much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate to use this care

Westhill Park

from Trish C (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

25th March was Bluey Day. My granddaughter was invited to join in the fun filled celebrations. Bluet and Bingo are favorites in our house so you can imagine how excited she was. She had an amazing day , her great grandmother ( a resident )joined us so more memories made. . Bluey and Bingo made a fuss
of all the children. There were lots of small toys in the room and the staff laid on an awesome table of food with fantastic Bluey and Bingo cakes. In the afternoon all the residents got to meet these wonderful characters and had a photo taken. Westhill staff, you made my granddaughter a very happy girl. She still asks if Bluey will be there when we visit. So many thanks to you all for a wonderful day.

The home put on a Breakfast With Bluey experience in the cinema room for resident's families. I attended with my grandchildren and my daughter and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was plentiful and delicious and catered for all tastes. Also the character costumes were great and they really
entertained all the children. The home always makes us and the children feel welcome anytime of the day.

The Manor House Roundhay has risen the bar and set the standard!
Set in beautiful surroundings, the interior offers gorgeous accommodation with comfort a number one priority. It is very much a residential home of exceptionally high standard.
While this is all important, it's the care that stands
out. Under the manager's management her team offer the highest standard of care and compassion.
Great care has been taken with Mum, who was frail and anxious leading up to her move to Manor House. We needn't have worried, she was welcomed and cared for and settled in with great attention, and in a short time has come on in leaps and bounds.
The staff are lovely, friendly, professional and hugely caring to both residents and their families. We were made to feel more than welcome. Nothing is too much trouble.
It's a huge decision to place a parent into care, but we are happy and relieved Mum now has a beautiful happy home to call her own.

Thank you so much for taking the time to submit such a beautiful review of The Manor House Roundhay. We are very proud to have a gorgeous care home and love to witness how all of our residents enjoy the fabulous environment we have here. We are passionate about making sure every single resident choosing to call The Manor House their home feels treasured. Your mum is a fabulous lady and although moving from another care home, she has settled into a brand-new environment with ease. I am sure she must have felt nervous, we also appreciate this was a very big decision for family, however how wonderful to know you are so happy. This means the world to us, and I would say that we are the lucky ones to have such a wonderful lady as mum come to join us. Your mum's sense of humour has us chuckling many times during the day! I will share your comments with whole the team, I know they will be touched by your lovely words. Once again thank you for taking the time to write a review.

The home is a very caring place all the residents are treated very well, it's always very clean and the food "looks lovely". My grandmother has been living in Hatfield House for about 18 months now. She loves it, very much. Always treated with dignity and respect. All staff at the home are great.

My mum moved into Hatfield House after a protracted stay in hospital. As soon as I visited, I felt at ease and felt sure that my mum would be comfortable. She was a little nervous on day one, but that passed as soon as she met the staff and was welcomed with open arms. I was told by the hospital that
she would never walk again and that she would be incontinent; both of these are no longer true. The staff have encouraged her to be independent, and she is thriving and happy. She has made friends and looks so much healthier. She loves getting her hair done each week and the lounge snack basket. I am very happy with the decision to place my mum here.

My mum moved in 3 months ago, myself and my siblings can now relax knowing my mum has got 24-hour excellent care, all her needs are met, the staff go above and beyond. The care home is immaculate, and meals are amazing. Activities are often and varied - We wouldn't want my mum anywhere else, and it's
a pleasure visiting.

My mum was very happy at Oulton Manor. She often told me how lovely all the staff are. The food is varied and tasty. The care home is very comfortable and homely. Great activities daily. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a loved one.

What an incredible team. Dad is so looked after and when have raised any concerns about Dad's health, they have been straight on it. The carers are all so kind. It's great peace of mind. Thank you!
