Review of Ridgemount from Liam B (Son of Resident) published on 7 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Really impressed with the staff and friendliness of the people who work there. The place is clean and my mother is relaxed there. I thank Eve for her and her staff looking after my mother so well. Sometimes they do visits with the residents and it's great they have a lovely garden to sit in. In the summer they do a great barbecue for all the residents and family. Thanks again Eve and your team xx

Review of Norton House from Rosamund D (Friend of Resident) published on 7 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Our family friend is nearly 102 + has no family left in the UK. My husband + I try to visit on a weekly basis but fail to do so when it is very hot. He is entirely in the care of the staff who are unfailingly kind, affectionate + understanding towards him. They never complain, about anything + say he is very 'helpful'. The atmosphere is very welcoming to everybody. He enjoys his food which now has to be spoon-fed + they keep up the conversation with him + jike with him.

Review of Buckingham Lodge from J J (Wife of Resident) published on 7 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My husband has been at Buckingham Lodge now for 3 years. He is so well cared for as his Alzheimer's progresses.
Any problems I'm always notified.
The staff are just so caring and lovely.
He used to join in with activities but is now happy just to doze in his chair. He is very contended and obviously doesn't feel the need to be entertained.
His room and bathroom are always clean and tidy.
He enjoys the food, the afternoon treats of fresh fruit and cake always look delicious!
Someone mentioned that the place looked run down and in need of redecorating.
I haven't found this to be the case at all. Everywhere is clean, a few scuffs on the wall, but so what? For me and far more important than anything is the care that is shown and given by the hard working and lovely carers.
Simon the manager is so very supportive and easy to talk to.

I have nothing but high praise for Buckingham Lodge and I'm so grateful for the care they give to my husband.

Review of Simon Marks Court from A D (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

In th 6 months my dad has been a resident at Simon Marks. I feel that the staff have been very effective in welcoming and settling him. This has taken time and skill as he has communication difficulties and physical impairment following a stroke and also did not want to accept help. The kindness and compassion of staff, excellent food, safe environment and a structured routine is perfect for dad's needs.

Review of Ridgemount from Alana B (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Supporting my husband in choosing a care home for his mum was a very difficult decision for us, and we wanted to make sure we found somewhere she would be happy and well cared for. From our first visit to Ridgemount, we felt reassured. The manager was warm, approachable, and took the time to listen to us, answer our questions, and make what was an emotional time much easier.

My mother-in-law has now been at Ridgemount for around two years, and we have been very happy with the care she receives. The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely care about the residents. Whenever we have had a question or concern, the manager has always taken the time to listen and ensure it is addressed, which gives us confidence and peace of mind. We are really pleased with the choice we made and would happily recommend Ridgemount to any family looking for a caring home for their loved one.

Review of Hazel End Care Home from Marina W (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Since my father moved here, his health and mental wellbeing have improved so noticeably that it's hard to put into words. This home hasn't just cared for him, it's helped him get better.

The culture is one of real warmth and dignity, with truly individual care. Staff are wonderfully attentive, often noticing when he's not himself before we would, and acting straight away. They're proactive too. Referrals, registering him with medical services, appointments, are all handled without any chasing from me. After coordinating everything myself for so long, I finally have peace of mind. They also genuinely welcome feedback and action anything I raise.

The home is spotlessly clean and looks bright and new, unlike others I visited.

I'm grateful to every team member - the manager, office staff, receptionist, seniors, carers, activity coordinators, the chefs who prepare vegetarian meals for him, and cleaners. Thank you all!

Review of Heyberry House from Debbie H (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum was transferred from another care home to Heyberry House this week with the help of Emily. It has been a traumatic experience for our mum from 3 months in hospital & to a home that didn't suit her needs. We as a family have now found the right place for her & i personally feel i can now relax knowing she is safe & will be well cared for. Thank you so much Emily for your patience & understanding & putting up with my many manic phone calls to you to help secure a place for her. You have a great team behind you & i now for the first time feel calm & comfortable when visiting her.

Review of Gills Top from Vicky B (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

There is no doubt moving from independent living to a Care Home is an extremely challenging and emotional time for the whole family. Thank goodness for Gills Top. The transition for my mum was excellent, handled positively from the first interactions with Kat and Gemma through to making the decision to move in. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. After a week Mum felt settled, at ease and comfortable with everyone. There is a uniquely calm atmosphere pervading every aspect, from the communal seating area to the garden and dining room. Residents have varying needs and the staff cater for everyone, calmly and purposefully, going out of their way to accommodate individual requests. I can't recommend Gills Top highly enough. Seeing my mum thriving and happy in such a caring environment, it means everything. Thank you so much.

Review of Westhill Park from James T (Son of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The most important thing to me about Westhill Park is that my mum feels happy and safe. The staff are always happy and upbeat, making a positive difference to everybody's day. Activities planned are varied to suit all kinds of preferences and mum is free to choose what she wants to get involved in. Trips out are a lovely option and I know that this cannot be easy to plan & execute.
Mum's diet is quite specific so staff will cater for this, even when what's on the menu doesn't suit.
I have been particularlyimpressed with a core team of staff lately as they have used these warm summer evenings to deep clean each floor, removing & cleaning all furniture as well as the carpets.
Sharmaine is always moving forwards as decor is refreshed, colours are contemporary and the building always looks & feels fresh.
More hard work has been going on in the garden & mum's view has been greatly enhanced by this. We are looking forward to watching this develop.

We are very happy this is Mum's home.

My stay at Moore Place has been exemplary. The standard of care and the skill of the carers are to be recommended. Their attitude and the way they build the relationship required in understanding the individual care of each resident's need is exceptional. Review of Westhill Park from Clare B (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum came into Westhill Park for respite care, initially after a spell in hospital and finding that she was not coping well with routine tasks at home. We had a visit from the Deputy Manager who asked lots of questions and mum was admitted 2 days later which was a great relief to myself to know that she would be safe and looked after. Her room was modern, with a wet room facility and tv. She had a view of the A14 which kept her in contact with the outside world but beyond that were fields of sheep. From the very beginning all the staff were very welcoming from the seniors who dispensed her medication and who cared for her health needs to the laundry staff who labelled and located her washing when needed. She was able to choose her meals and was treated with respect by all staff. The reception staff were very friendly and caring and ready to help with any queries. The home offers entertainment and those staff worked hard to include mum in various activities throughout the week.

Overall Experience
My Mum has been there about 4 years now. She loves it! The activities, the staff, having her hair done every other Tuesday, her room with a door to the garden.
She talks about the staff as if they are family.
Mum used to be in another carehome in Northampton but she wanted to move as it went down hill after Covid. She is thoroughly happy that she did even though change is difficult.
Coffee morning on Wednesdays welcome relatives and you can play carpet bowls with them if you want.
It has given mum a new lease of life.

She loves it = I love it.

Well done Westhill Park!

Overall Experience
I can't thank the team from Westhill Park enough led by the amazing Sharmaine, Care Home Manager.
Mum has been a resident for six years and nothing is too much trouble.
Mum is well cared for and can choose if she joins in with the timetable of different activities or enjoys time in her room which recently has been redecorated by the brilliant, Connor.
The staff are great. All approachable and make us feel welcome; making sure that it is 'Mum's home' not their place of work.
Mum recently had her birthday celebration in the garden room. The staff had gone to the trouble of decorating the room and making sure we had refreshments for Mum's guests. Everyone was well catered for.

Many, many thanks for your on going love and care.

Overall Experience
My mum has been a resident at Westhill Park for just over three years. She has dementia and particularly struggles with her memory and anxiety. The staff are incredibly kind and she really feels part of the Westhill 'family'. The love and care she receives is outstanding. Sharmaine and her team work incredibly hard, and go above and beyond to make this a happy and stimulating place for both residents and their families. The facilities, the quality of care, the activities and entertainment, the catering, admin and maintenance are all first class. The home is well integrated in the local community and always has some event, fete or party for families to join in with.
I've found nothing to be too much trouble for this dedicated and caring team. Mum is really happy and it's lovely to see her joining with sing-alongs, daily activities and external entertainers.
I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a great home.

Thank you Westhill.
