Our family friend is nearly 102 + has no family left in the UK. My husband + I try to visit on a weekly basis but fail to do so when it is very hot. He is entirely in the care of the staff who are unfailingly kind, affectionate + understanding towards him. They never complain, about anything + say he is very 'helpful'. The atmosphere is very welcoming to everybody. He enjoys his food which now has to be spoon-fed + they keep up the conversation with him + jike with him.

I am happy at Norton House and as a retired architect also having studied a little medicine (junior lab technician at Uster Institute in 1960's) plus training as an 'ayurveda practitioner' (Indian Medicine System created 4000 years ago!! (studied more recently). I find sensitive well capable staff here are a major asset to be proud of. Almost every day I find more potential facilities here, eg; the garden and various 'events' in the large communal room.

Staff are fantastic of the time my mother was there
Food good as far as everyone says with good choices with their own chef I was informed
Floor 2 is for 6 weeks respite. We took photos as evidence.
The room had not been cleaned at all from the last resident, it had an old stinking of urine carpet , lumpy dipped bed, torn and faeces stained bedding. Filthy, dated and very unpleasant. Couldn't see out the windows so dirty.
The bathrooms were far the worst , dirty damaged shower drains in 3 rooms shown, faeces on wall and door frame, used razor in sink, a pad came flying up the toilet bowl when flushed. Very misleading in the center of Westminster difficult to get to by car.
Staff report permanent residents have much better rooms.
40 rooms fully occupied have the funds to update rip out carpets & no excuse for filth
Stated couldn't clean the room that day next staff were cleaning door 2 all day.

We arranged to remove my mother next day. No management even made a call to us at all.

I have found Norton House to be very clean, tidy and homely.
All the staff are really welcoming, friendly and always have a smile on their face. And they go out of their way to be kind and helpful.
This applies equally to their relationship with visitors as well as residents.
The activities that I have seen have been varied, engaging, well-organised and well-staffed.

All of this has meant that my friend has settled in very well. And already appears to feel very much at home.

I find Norton House to be an excellent care home. Each time I visit I feel very welcomed and kindness by the staff. The resident I am visiting has made remarkable progress. She is looking very well from the care she is receiving. I have recommended Norton House to some elderly friends who need help. I find it to be a lovely caring home.
