The care home cannot be faulted.
We hear so much poor reports but this is so so different.
It is generally believed the residents wouldn't be alive now if she hadn't moved here.
Nothing is too much trouble.

My mother spent a few weeks at Clayburn Court as a respite service user. During her stay the care and compsssion attended to her was outstanding during her brief stay. I was very impressed with the staff reaction to the call bell being actioned where members of staff appeared within seconds. Staff
also attended at regular times throughout the day and night. Also rooms were clean, food was good and visitors welcomed at any time.

Our mum Joyce came to live at Clayburn Court on 17/12/23. Her care has been exemplary, despite the many issues that mum chooses to raise, which are for the most part unfounded. Care is taken to understand mum's likes and dislikes & her health issues are always dealt with quickly & efficiently. The staff
are efficient, hard working, and take their jobs very seriously.

My mum has been living at Clayburn Court for the past year and i honestly couldn't be more thankful for the care and support she receives everyday. She has dementia, but i can see she is happy, comfortable and content. That peace of mind means the world to me and my family.
What stands out is how well
the staff know my mum. They don't just care for her, they understand her. They know her routines, her personality and the little things that make her smile. This personnel connection makes such a difference, especially when someone is living with dementia. It is comforting to know she is surrounded by people who truly care about her as a person.
The home is very welcoming, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. When i visit my mum, i feel like i am walking into a family. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond.
Clayburn has been a blessing to our family and i would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for thoughtful, compassionate and professional care, for their loved one.

I've lived here for 19 months. I left my previous place because I was bored.
My family was apprehensive of me moving again but my daughter visited with me and said, yes mum this is more suited to you, plenty of entertainment and things to do. My 3 sons also visited and thought the home was marvellous
perfect for me. This is my 3rd care home and the only way I will now leave here is in a wooden box.
We have residents meetings and all departments attend and we can voice our issues if we have any and always get updates about our home.
I love it here and enjoy everything we do. Staff are friendly and helpful, they have tremendous patience. The activity lead is always thinking of new project for the home, started with the bar area and now we have a nail bar and our next project is the summer room / garden room and looking forward to our Christmas fayre in December all money raised goes to the amenities fund to help all the residents with more activities in and out of the home.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.644)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.644) out of 10 for Clayburn Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 32 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.644 for Clayburn Court is calculated as follows: ( (283 Excellents x 5) + (75 Goods x 4) + (16 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (5 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 382 Ratings = 4.644
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Clayburn Court is based on 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 31 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
