Kingfisher Court

My grandfather initially came to Kingfisher for respite care but remained following a decline in his health. As a family, we were understandably anxious about the prospect of him moving into a care home. However, after visiting several homes, we felt Kingfisher was the right choice. The rooms are lovely, each with its own bathroom, and there are smaller seating areas where residents can spend time with visiting family. The main lounge is spacious, with plenty of comfortable seating and easy access to drinks and snacks. The food is excellent, freshly prepared and homemade, and there is regular entertainment for residents to enjoy. Most importantly, we have found the staff to be genuinely caring, attentive and responsive to my grandfather's needs, which gave us real peace of mind. I know my grandfather would want me to say a special mention for his mate Jono. I would recommend Kingfisher to anyone looking for a caring, welcoming and comfortable environment.

My mum has been residing in Kingfisher care home for the last year. The care she receives has been amazing. Every member of staff go above and beyond to ensure her well being and safety. Mum participates in all the activities , eats well and is happy and settled. I finally have peace of mind that mum is being well looked after. Very well managed and I've been informed throughout about her well being. Looked at many homes before choosing this one and there's nowhere else I'd rather she be.

My dad spent the last six months of his life at Kingfisher Court and was very well looked after as his needs increased. He settled in easily to his lovely room which we furnished with mementos from home. Visitors were always made to feel very welcome and every member of staff was helpful and friendly. Standards are first class at the home with excellent home-cooked food every day and it is spotlessly clean. He thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment days and we even held a lovely family birthday party for him. I would highly recommend Kingfisher Court to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe and caring home for their loved one.

Thank you to staff at Kingfisher we appreciate everything you do for mum. It was such a difficult decision for us to make but mum is safe and looked after in a lovely environment so if definitely was the right time and place for her.

Kingfisher Court is a wonderful care home that I would highly recommend. The staff are friendly and very caring. They treated mum with such kindness and although she liked to spend most of her time in her room the staff were always popping in to chat and check on her. The rooms are clean and fresh with a spotless en-suite. There is daily entertainment and weekly coffee mornings. The meals always smell delicious and the tables are set to a restaurant standard. There is also a nice enclosed garden and a lovely garden where we held mums birthday party.

Have always found the staff to be very obliging, caring, efficient, and their relationship with the residents is excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them. Been visiting our friend regularly for 10 months now and have never witnessed anything other than first class care of the residents. Am very happy that our friend is living in such a supportive and caring environment.

David enjoys his time here. The food is lovely and varied. Coffee mornings are good. The home is clean and fresh.

This was Arthur's 3rd period of respite care in Kingfisher Court, which proves he was happy during his two previous stays. As of yesterday, 24.9.25, he has come again for 2 weeks' respite. If, or as and when the need arises, he needs permanent care, I know he will have no hesitation in coming to Kingfisher Court if there is the capacity.

We're really pleased with our choice of care home for our mum. Everyone is very welcoming. Our family enjoy visiting Mum for coffee and cake on a Thursday. We can rest assured that Mum is looked after well.

Staff are very friendly. They love my mum.

First time I have been involved in a care home environment and the experience has dispelled all my concerns as to what it would be like. All the staff I have been in contact with are friendly, approachable, helpful and prepared to go the extra mile to provide a first-class service to residents and relatives.. No request is too difficult, insignificant or impossible. They make what must be a difficult workplace as pleasurable as possible. They always have a smile on their faces. The main areas and thoroughfares are kept clean, tidy, nicely furnished and decorated, giving a great first impression.

Cheerful staff. Very good care. Pleasant surroundings. Nice bedrooms. Good entertainment. Very good all-round home.

I cannot thank the staff enough for their care. Mum is not very talkative and someone always includes her in conversation. Always well turned out, Mum has a comfortable friendship with staff and residents.

My dad is very well looked after at Kingfisher Court. He always tells us just how happy he is here. The staff are lovely and treat him with love and respect.

All staff I have been in contact with have always been helpful which is a good reassurance as this was a hard decision.

Food good & smells amazing.

Aunty has been at Kingfisher Court over three years now and she has been cared for exceptionally well overall. The staff team show loving care, passion, dignity to all and professionalism. Aunty has settled into the home community very well and made some very good friends along the way. Thank you to all for your dedication and commitment to achieving such high standards of care.

Generally, no problems in fact, most things are very good. Just a couple of concerns, i.e. quite a few items have gone 'missing' from rooms and some have never been found. The other thing relates to the number of trips out that the residents used to go on seems to have almost come to an end. Are there trips - especially to church sing-along and the 'Hub' going to continue? Finally, the resident's toilet on Birch has been out of action for weeks. Is it ever going to be repaired.

The care my mum received during her time at Kingfisher Court was excellent. The staff were kind, patient and treated her with dignity and respect. It was the best we could have hoped for. Staff were also thoughtful and kind to us as family members and helped answer any questions we had about mum's care. It gave us great comfort to know she was safe and being looked after so well.
