Excellent care. My mum has been here for respite care and it has allowed us to go on the holiday and not worry about anything. Will definitely come to Kingfisher again for respite. Special thanks to two members of staff in particular. A very warm welcome.

I went to visit a resident who has been at Kingfisher Court for under a year. I was delighted to find him in very positive mental health and brighter in himself than after the first visit last Easter when he had just arrived.

On arrival, I was immediately welcomed by the friendly receptionist who helped me sign in and directed me to the lift and correct floor. On arriving on the correct floor, other friendly staff were proactive in directing me to the resident's room. I saw staff very positively engaging with a number of residents in a respectful, kind and dignified manner, irrespective of their person needs including dementia. I would be very happy to recommend this home. Its has beautiful facilities but more importantly an ethos that puts their residents at the heart of things and it clear that in their twilight years, residents can live life as fully as they can and not merely survive.

I cannot believe the huge difference Kingfisher Court has made to the happiness and well-being of my mother-in-law. She is so happy! She has become a social butterfly thanks to all the activities available. The staff all know her well and speak with such fondness, their care for her is so genuine. I would recommend anybody who is contemplating a care home to experience the warmth and homely feel of Kingfisher Court.

Overall very good experience. My Dad had two weeks of respite care and enjoyed every minute. He received very good care, well looked after. He had a trim with the hairdresser. He has enjoyed trips out to the dog kennels and fire station and spent a lot of time joining in activities and playing pool and in the garden, also enjoyed the cinema room.

We had until recently four relatives in the care of Kingfisher Court. All have been treated kindly and respectfully. I have visited many care homes but nothing compares to the welcome and warmth at Kingfisher Court. We recently had a bereavement and the end-of-life pathway was facilitated by Kingfisher. The staff genuinely cared for our relative and were so concerned during his last week that they sat with him whilst doing paperwork so that he wouldn’t be alone. The care that the staff have shown afterwards has been thoughtful and really wonderful. I can’t imagine a better place for my own mother. Our whole family have been so impressed with the standard of care, it goes above and beyond managing their needs. We can’t find fault with anything and it eases our minds to know that our relatives are cared ‘about’ and not just ‘for’, both physically and emotionally. We are very grateful and lucky to have found such a wonderful place for our most vulnerable family members.

I chose Kingfisher Court for my father as it had very good reviews. I'm so glad I did, my father settled in very well, much to my surprise. Visited a friend’s mum staying in for two weeks. From the moment we set foot in the door we got a sense of happiness from the residents and the staff. The lady we visited couldn’t praise the home enough and she said the food was amazing. Loved the doors to each resident’s room - like having their own front doors. Visited a few care homes and can honestly say this is the one I’d sign up for! Chatted to a lady I recognised in the lounge and my husband who has Alzheimer’s was invited to join in the balloon tennis. He loved it.

What a wonderful place to be. The residents are well looked after and there are constant daily activities planned from singing, yoga and craft activities to trips to ten-pin bowling and the local park. My aunt is very happy here, always on the go as she's kept busy taking part and keeping her mind active.

A big thank you to all the staff.

I am passionate about working in care and have always considered myself to be a people person. It is a huge privilege to work with others and to know that I am the driving force behind a service where all people matter. I consider myself to be a kind and empathetic person who is a good listener at all levels.

I have worked in care for a long time, and there are many reasons for this. I love the fact that the smallest of gestures mean the most to others, and if, during the course of my working day I can make others feel valued and genuinely cared for, then I know that I am making a difference to someone’s life. Caring for others is the most rewarding career to have.

An integral part of my role is to forge strong relationships with residents and their families and friends, their input will be fundamental to the quality of the service at Kingfisher Court. I enjoy supporting and developing my staff team to deliver the highest standard of care. I take pride in providing outstanding care to my residents, and having a good team who share the same values is vital to achieving this goal.

I am a perfectionist who enjoys the attention to detail that comes with this job, I like to focus on the standards of attainment required to hold the position that I love.

My door will always be open, I am responsive and ready to help in any way that I can. I both encourage and welcome any feedback that will help us to shape the future of the home.

I’m Nicky, I have worked in Health and Social Care for around 17 years now and my work means so much to me.

I enjoy working with people, supporting them, and encouraging them, leading a happy, fulfilled team! I love getting to know the residents that I support, hearing their stories and learning about their lives, and delivering hands-on care, that enables me to develop a person-centred approach.

I haven’t been here at Kingfisher long, but I have a good feeling about the home, it is such a warm, welcoming, happy place to be. I’m sure that I will fit in well here, I work well under pressure and love having an open door to enable both the residents and their families and me to develop a close professional relationship based on honesty and trust. I feel very fortunate to have been given this opportunity and I am grateful for the warm welcome that I have received. My job takes up a lot of my time but when I’m not at work, I spend my time playing with my 3 Children, enjoying the company of my husband, and saying I will go to the gym!
