Anchor’s Silk Court, in the heart of Bethnal Green, is a purpose-built home supporting up to 51 older people to live a comfortable lifestyle, as well as specialising in dementia care.

The home provides a range of residential care services, including convalescence care; respite care; trial stays and long-term care for those who can no longer look after themselves.

The care team get to know customers and work with them to organise stimulating activities which match individual and group interests, both in the care home as well as in the local community. Each customer’s individual needs are regularly assessed to ensure their care plans meet their lifestyle requirements.

Meals are cooked using fresh, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients where possible by a highly trained Chef Manager and kitchen staff.

Staff are so kind and helpful - from the very beginning of the process. They have helped to settle my mother in. Although it is very early days, I am very happy with Silk Court. All staff from admin and reception to team leaders have all been kind and supportive.

Staff I have met and spoken with are caring, hard-working, and compassionate. This was the first care home I found for my mum where I felt they would take genuinely good care of her, as several of the staff are clearly experienced with long careers in care behind them already. The building is well-staffed,
the protected meal times are a sensible idea, and the rooms seem to be in good condition. All of my questions and requests are being met and resolved, and the management have been very accommodating.

I just moved my mum into Silk Court this month. The process whilst stressful for the family was made easier by the kindness and organization of the Silk Court staff. Mum has been there a few weeks and seems to be settling in really well.

My family and I are incredibly grateful for the care and kindness shown at Silk Court Bethnal Green. One of our close relatives has been living here for some time, and it gives us great peace of mind to know they are safe, happy, and truly cared for.
The staff are always attentive, patient, and compassionate
- they treat residents with genuine respect and warmth. It's clear they take the time to build real relationships and go the extra mile to make everyone feel comfortable and supported.
The home itself is always clean, bright, and welcoming. There's a lovely, calm atmosphere throughout, and we can see that every effort is made to create a positive environment.
Knowing our loved one with dementia is in such good hands means the world to us. We couldn't be more grateful.

Silk Court has provided consistently great care to my Mum who have been there for over 2 years. They are closely focused on her changing support needs and work hard to get the right things in place. The communication is great - I'm always kept updated and feel very welcome to ask for more information.
The staff are warm and welcoming and my Mum enjoys being at Silk Court and is clearly happy there.

My experince is positive. Teh staff are friednlu and the reisdnet sseem content. There is a peaceful atmosphere and I have been visiting for a few years and always found it calm. The residents are well cared for by the staff and I would be happy in recommending Silk Court to anyone seeking a suitable

It was my mums birthday, she has a big family and silk court kindly allowed us to use one of communal rooms so that we could all be together to celebrate
We all had a great time and really appreciated the staff making us all welcome and accommodating us all

Since my mother moved into Silk Court in January 2025, I have been very happy with the standard of care provided to her. The place is clean and tidy, spacious and warm. The staff communicate well and let me know if there are any concerns. Mum had two (brief) A&E admissions, which they instigated as
per their policies. My Mum seems to have settled in well and this is so important to me for peace of mind. On check out they also ask if you would feel comfortable raising any safeguarding issues, which is an essential question. I am really happy to have found Silk Court, it was the last place of 12 that I looked at. I was honestly beginning to give up hope. But, as soon as I went to visit I knew it was the right place due to the many positive reviews that I read. Those reviews have proved accurate.

The staff at Silk Court have been incredibly helpful in what is a stressful time for us as a family. Every question has been answered thoroughly and nothing appears too much trouble.
My father-in-law has just arrived and we feel very lucky to have found a place at Silk Court.

The care my mum has received has been excellent. The staff are so caring and thoughtful. I am sad that my mum has to leave. If it were my choice she would have stayed at Silk Court. I cannot thank the staff enough for all they have done for her. She flourished whilst there.

My wife is now in the last stages of Alzheimer's disease and needs a lot of attention. But the staff at Silk Court have been amazingly caring towards my wife, treating her with kindness and patience. I am always kept very well informed of my wife's care. I visit the home often and at various times but
I am always made welcome and feel I am never in the way. I don't know about activities as my poor wife is now no longer able to participate.

My brother has recently been a resident at Silk Court and so far can only give praise for the staff's care and dedicated support given to my brother. The staff in my opinion are kind, patient and very understanding to both the residents and the family. They have taken the time and effort to answer any
questions we have had. Also, there are high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. They are well organised with regular meal times, menus and routines. The outdoor space is secure but well-kept and has a cheerful outlook. We attended a BBQ in summer with excellent food, singers and fun. My brother has settled and feels very comfortable and content. Thank you Silk Court.

My Mum has been a resident at Silk Court for 9 months. Since being there my Mum has significantly improved. The staff treat my Mum with kindness and respect. My Mum is always clean and well-dressed when I visit. Her room and communal areas are always clean and maintained well. Mum has never been so
well-fed! The variety of food and drink is good, as are the portion sizes. There's always plenty of cake!
Mum and Dad recently celebrated their 60th (Diamond) Wedding Anniversary. This coincided with Silk Court's weekly church service. After the service, the local vicar (by prior arrangement) blessed my Mum and Dad's marriage. Silk Court staff went above and beyond to decorate the room, and provide accompanying music and a three-course meal. Even down to providing a veil and flowers for my Mum to 'walk down the aisle'. They thought of everything to replicate my Mum and Dad's Wedding and made Mum and Dad's day so special! I will be forever grateful to everyone involved.

I am so pleased my brother was offered a room at Silk Court. All the staff, nurses and carers do an amazing job.
Since August 24 when my brother was admitted he has come on leaps and bounds. He lived alone, went wandering around London and we became very concerned for his welfare. But now he's made
lots of friends and seems to be enjoying his time at the care home.
I would like to thank the staff for all their time and kindness in taking care of my brother.

My aunt has been a resident for almost 6 weeks now and all staff have been extremely kind, caring and welcoming from the very first day. She's gone from living alone to having tonnes of company and all the support she needs, we've seen so much improvement in her mental and emotional well-being. Every

My mum has been a resident at Silk Court for over 6 months now and so far myself and my family have been pleased with her care. The home and Mum's room are always clean and well-presented. There are activities for residents during the week; Mum particularly enjoys the 'mother and baby mornings' and
the weekly mass. Mealtimes are also well handled and the food is very good. There are several of the caring staff who are fantastic with Mum; I've real admiration for them as they have one of the toughest jobs out there. My one gripe would be that it's often more difficult to gain entry to the home on weekends and bank holidays when there are fewer staff around. There are certainly good days and bad days for Mum but, as we all know, that's just the nature of dementia.

Silk Court Care Home is a very welcoming care home, they take such good care of my mum and are always very friendly and willing to listen and help with any concerns we have. The staff are very helpful, friendly, cheerful and caring. The garden is lovely during the summer and my mum loves sitting out
there. Mum has lovely friends there she's very happy in Silk Court.
