In general, this care home provided a very good level of care for my Mam. The carers and team leaders all contributed to making Mam feel welcome, alleviating only initial concerns or anxiety. The activities organised by an engaging and friendly coordinator played a huge part in occupying her throughout the day as well as helping her to integrate with other residents and staff. This home has done a good job in preparing Mam for her sheltered accommodation, once she leaves this facility. I would definitely recommend!

When we arrived we were greeted by really calm, friendly staff. A staff member showed us around, our immediate impression of Silk Court was the fact it is so spacious, there are many areas and rooms to go to or sit in. The residents were all relaxed and friendly.
It is mixed ages. We were looking for our dad who is 91 with the onset of dementia.
Everyone reassured us they would cater for our dad's individual needs.

Dad has been in Silk Court for 3 days and it has put our minds at rest knowing he is in a safe and comfortable environment.

I chose this home with my father. He has dementia but responded to Silk Court, where other homes he actively took against.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is spacious, light and clean and there is a good choice of areas for residents to go to. They can move between floors and choose which lounge to go to, find a quiet spot or choose to be with other residents. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere. I feel my father is safe and well cared for.

There is an open door policy about visiting. You can go at any time of day or evening and be welcome, make yourself a cup of tea. I feel very comfortable when I am there. I enjoy getting to know the staff and some of the other residents too. The food is mostly good but could be a bit more varied and interesting sometimes. That's the only less than a hundred percent positive I would say. I think it is an excellent home.

Mum was here on her 3rd respite visit. Staff seem very caring and activities keep her entertained and busy which she loves. Food is good and rooms are clean. Well done! When collected and totally unprompted or questioned, she volunteered the following to staff in front of me. "I've been very happy here". This is a wonderful testament to the staff and also reassuring for me. She willingly hugs staff when saying 'hello' and 'goodbye'. I have total confidence in leaving Mum in Silk Court's care. Staff are very patient.
