Anchor’s Silk Court, in the heart of Bethnal Green, is a purpose-built home supporting up to 51 older people to live a comfortable lifestyle, as well as specialising in dementia care.

The home provides a range of residential care services, including convalescence care; respite care; trial stays and long-term care for those who can no longer look after themselves.

The care team get to know customers and work with them to organise stimulating activities which match individual and group interests, both in the care home as well as in the local community. Each customer’s individual needs are regularly assessed to ensure their care plans meet their lifestyle requirements.

Meals are cooked using fresh, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients where possible by a highly trained Chef Manager and kitchen staff.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

Would recommend Silk Court highly to anyone thinking about placing their loved ones in a home. Caring, friendly and very professional from the reception to the office and to the home and care to the residents. My mother-in-law settled in quickly, and her care is excellent.
Silk Court will ring me
if they have any issues relating to my mother-in-law, and also receive emails frequently informing of any changes to visits and other stuff that goes on within the home. They act quickly if they think my mother-in-law needs a doctor, and I am always informed.

This care home gives excellent service to clients and visitors. Every member of staff is polite, informative well presented. The rooms are always clean, clients always clean and nicely dressed. Food is good, nice choice on menu. During this very difficult time with Coronavirus, we cannot visit but call
daily and get all the information on our Mum we need. Well done to Silk Court.

My aunt has always said the carers are her family. I have been visiting my aunt for 6/7 years travelling down from Scotland every 2 months for my immediate family and aunty. Always the staff all of them have been very welcoming. They keep me up to date on her health and telephone me in Scotland if unwell
so I can come to London quickly. The care is excellent my aunt is happy to be here.

Overall I am very pleased with Silk Court home. I find the staff are always helpful and friendly. All the building is clean, rooms hallways etc. My brother tells me the food is always lovely and fresh and he really enjoys it. I see there are a lot of activities going on to enjoy. My mother has lived in Silk Court for a year. It has been a wonderful sanctuary for her, providing security, safety and a sense of contentment. I have nothing but praise for the staff, who always remain calm, kind and treat all residents with dignity and respect. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful.
Staff and management have proved to be wonderfully adaptable to my mother's evolving care needs.

In general, this care home provided a very good level of care for my Mam. The carers and team leaders all contributed to making Mam feel welcome, alleviating only initial concerns or anxiety. The activities organised by an engaging and friendly coordinator played a huge part in occupying her throughout
the day as well as helping her to integrate with other residents and staff. This home has done a good job in preparing Mam for her sheltered accommodation, once she leaves this facility. I would definitely recommend!

When we arrived we were greeted by really calm, friendly staff. A staff member showed us around, our immediate impression of Silk Court was the fact it is so spacious, there are many areas and rooms to go to or sit in. The residents were all relaxed and friendly.
It is mixed ages. We were looking
for our dad who is 91 with the onset of dementia.
Everyone reassured us they would cater for our dad's individual needs.
Dad has been in Silk Court for 3 days and it has put our minds at rest knowing he is in a safe and comfortable environment.

I chose this home with my father. He has dementia but responded to Silk Court, where other homes he actively took against.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is spacious, light and clean and there is a good choice of areas for residents to go to. They can move between floors and choose
which lounge to go to, find a quiet spot or choose to be with other residents. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere. I feel my father is safe and well cared for.
There is an open door policy about visiting. You can go at any time of day or evening and be welcome, make yourself a cup of tea. I feel very comfortable when I am there. I enjoy getting to know the staff and some of the other residents too. The food is mostly good but could be a bit more varied and interesting sometimes. That's the only less than a hundred percent positive I would say. I think it is an excellent home.
