Anchor’s Silk Court, in the heart of Bethnal Green, is a purpose-built home supporting up to 51 older people to live a comfortable lifestyle, as well as specialising in dementia care.

The home provides a range of residential care services, including convalescence care; respite care; trial stays and long-term care for those who can no longer look after themselves.

The care team get to know customers and work with them to organise stimulating activities which match individual and group interests, both in the care home as well as in the local community. Each customer’s individual needs are regularly assessed to ensure their care plans meet their lifestyle requirements.

Meals are cooked using fresh, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients where possible by a highly trained Chef Manager and kitchen staff.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

Anchor reinvest the money made into their retirement properties and care homes, to continually raise standards to provide a high-quality service to surpass customers' expectations.

A very impressive visit to my friend. I've never seen her so well cared for. The level of cleanliness is good. The staff were helpful and I enjoyed an afternoon cuppa. If I needed care I wouldn't hesitate to be looked after by your caring staff.

I was very impressed with Silk Court, my friend was beautifully kept, clean, tidy and well looked after, the staff security was a 100%, just amazing, I am very amazed, management is great. Wonderful home, I will always recommend.

My mother has come on leaps and bounds since being cared for at Silk Court. I believe this has enriched and prolonged her life and has improved her quality of life.
Caring for relatives and having to work for a living has limitations. Places like Silk Court are invaluable for the care they give.
My
mum has responded so well since coming to Silk Court.
I am extremely grateful for all that the staff do and for the care and kindness shown.

Very well-managed staff, excellent, very helpful. Since moving into Silk Court my cousin is a completely different man. He is a lot more talkative, happy and content. It is the best thing that could have happened to him. The ratings show how I feel.

The home manager and all the staff are all brilliant with my mum, any issues there is and there are I am contacted straight away and they are addressed right away. Staff are kind and caring towards my mum, even though she can be difficult at times. I would always recommend this home to anyone, I can't

My mother-in-law has been in Silk Court since March and we were so worried about moving her in there but within a few weeks it was obvious it was the right decision for her, she has friends and we feel she is safe and she is really well looked after. The staff have been amazing I don’t know all their
names yet but there are two ladies who always seem to be there when we visit and they are just so friendly and reassuring all the time.

Excellent security access and exit. Home very clean and tidy. Hygiene of residents very good. Found staff to be very friendly and engaging with the residents and also the visitors. Found staff very friendly and informative upon questions asked by myself. A very relaxing and spacious garden, if the weather
is fine. Most importantly to me, my auntie seems to be happy and content and well looked after, even though I know she can be a bit trying at times and cannot always be understood at times. This doesn’t seem to be a problem to the staff.

The standard of both care and management in Silk Court is very good. My husband remained contented, settled and well, thanks to the patience and support of the excellent carers who look after him. It was a lovely idea to bring a circus into the home and clearly a delight for the residents. I hope Silk

I have regularly visited my friend since he came to Silk Court about four years ago. The staff have been brilliant with him! He can be difficult because of his Alzheimer's, and they have been patient and caring as his condition has deteriorated. Not easy, but well done.

Mum has been part of the Silk Court community for a number of years, and the standard of care, consideration and kindness she receives remains first-rate. Mum likes companionship and society and as her condition has deteriorated, this has become even more important to her. Staff at Silk Court always
make time for her and are concerned that this essential need is met, and I can see she is an active member of the community and takes part in many of the events that take place, despite her worsening condition. It is a great comfort to me and the rest of the family that she is so well looked after. When visiting, I always find her happy and contented and she looks very well turned-out. She could be in no better place.
