Any issues raised have always been dealt with.

My mother is like a new woman having received all the key support she needs, given by a commited and friendly staff. It is a comfort to know that he best needs are met on a daily basis.

If you want to see how a care home should be run then look no further than Borrage House. The management and staff are kind and competent, doing a tough job with humour and patience. My relative, for whom I hold Power of Attorney, has settled in well since her admission in January 2026, and my wife and I are pleased we chose Borrage House in every respect. The building isn't flashy, it simply has a friendly, down-to-earth, efficient atmosphere from the moment you walk in the front door. Wholeheartedly recommended.

I am so pleased we found Borrage House!
Mum has settled in so quick and it's great to see her getting involved in the activities and social gatherings.

The staff at Borrage are just fabulous, nothing is ever too much, the whole vibe since day 1 is 'this not our home, it's the resident's home' family and friends are always made welcome, with a flexible open door policy. Thanks for all you do, it's appreciated.

I can not praise the staff at Borrage highly enough. They treat mum with kindness, patience and humour. She considers them to be a 2nd family. They make sure that I know everything that is going on I should make a mention of how well they handled the recent fire and how they cared afterwards, both for mum and me.

Mum has been at Borrage house for nearly 2 and a half years. She is 92. She has dementia and my very frail Dad could not care for her. Since she arrived in Borrage house Mum has been happy and well cared for. I am a Registered Manager in Health and Social Care and I recognise that Borrage House is well run and caring and that residents are treated with dignity and given choice. Those residents with dementia are well cared for and there are enough staff on hand to ensure full support and to meet needs as they arise. The food served is well cooked and tasty and the laundry service good. Mums bedroom is always tidy and clean and is comfortable.

Borrage House is clean, well decorated and comfortable. It is evident that the staff care about the environment as well as the residents. It is a home not an institution. There are clearly some very good staff some of whom are very experienced. Mum moving to Borrage House was a big step but has been an excellent move overall.

The standard of care my mum has received since living at Borrage House has been excellent from all members of staff, their kindness does not go unnoticed.

The choice of food is varied, the room is always clean and entertainment is available every day if mum wishes to participate from crafts and quizzes to musicians and ponies.

Mum has now been at Borrage for over 3 years having moved up from London. A huge and potentially risky move for her, but it meant she would be nearer to both me and my sister. We needn't have worried, as from day one, the love, respect and care given to her by all the wonderful staff has been immense. I have no doubt that her life (she's 94) has been extended because of that.

Mum moved into Borrage House 18 months ago.

From the very first day, she settled in and called it home. I truly believe this was down to the lovely, caring staff who treated her with such kindness, respect, and compassion. Time and again, she would say how wonderful everyone was and how well she was looked after.

The atmosphere was always calm ,relaxed and so welcoming with plenty of activities to keep residents engaged if they wished.

Mum's time at Borrage House was safe, happy, and filled with comfort - in a place she was fortunate to call home.

Thank you,

The care of my sister is wonderful. She is settled and loves everything about Borrage House. The staff, the food, and other residents. She likes to go in the pleasant dining room for her meals which she thoroughly enjoys. Yesterday, a carer accompanied by his little dog, Honey, sang a variety of songs and was well received by everyone. Borrage has such a relaxed atmosphere. We are so grateful for their excellent care of my beloved sister.

As I'm sure it's true for many families, we sought care at Borrage House under difficult circumstances. My research flagged up rave reviews for the caring attitude of the staff and I couldn't agree more. Every member of staff, front and back of house has shown kindness and professionalism and nothing is ever too much trouble. They have fully supported my mum to enable her to settle in quickly. Which amazingly she has! The room is clean and comfortable. The food is excellent, beautifully presented and always piping hot. There's a great range of activities. I'm welcomed at any time of the day and there is always an air of calm. It really does feel like a large family. Any medical needs are quickly recognised and prompt attention is given by the visiting GP practice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Borrage House and can't thank everyone enough for all they do. Mum is safe and well looked after and this week she described her experience of living there as "brilliant!"
