Stamford Bridge Beaumont care home, in Stamford Bridge, recently hosted a fascinating visit from the 1066 Stamford Historical Society, who gave residents and guests an engaging talk on the rich Viking history of the village.
The society brought history to life by showcasing incredible, life-like replica clothing, equipment, and weapons used during the Viking era. Residents were thrilled to learn about the famous Battle of Stamford Bridge and explore the craftsmanship behind the replicas, sparking lively discussions and memories.
General Manager Emma Smith of Stamford Bridge Beaumont said: “Today has been all about celebrating our local heritage and bringing history into the home.
