Hickathrift House care home, in Marshland St. James, welcomed Amanda from Jatec Healthcare on Wednesday 26th November for a special community ear wax removal clinic, offering free ear checks to residents and local community members.
The clinic provided an excellent opportunity for people to receive professional ear health advice and checks in a relaxed and friendly environment. Amanda’s expertise was greatly appreciated by everyone who attended, helping to promote better hearing health in the community.
Due to the success of the event, Amanda will be returning to Hickathrift House on 6th January at 10.30am for another free community ear health clinic, ensuring even more people can benefit from this valuable service.
Hickathrift House has built up an excellent reputation in its local community. The home regularly hosts events and activities for residents and neighbours, fostering strong community connections.
Acting General Manager, Sarah Sage, said: “Today has been all about supporting our residents and local community with their ear health. Amanda’s clinic was extremely well received, and we’re delighted she’ll be back in January. It’s wonderful to see so many people taking advantage of this free service.”
