Humfrey Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, welcomed the Thaxted Bellringers on 2 December 2025 for a beautifully festive performance that brought joy, calm, and Christmas spirit to residents, their families, and staff.
The concert, organised by Weronika, Lifestyle Coordinator at Humfrey Lodge, formed part of the home’s commitment to connecting residents with the local Thaxted community.
“The Thaxted Bellringers gave us a lovely concert,” said Barbara, a resident. “It was a real pleasure to relax and listen to their calming bell music, especially the Christmas songs.”
Residents, family members, and staff gathered in the main dining room for the occasion, enjoying a peaceful and cosy atmosphere enriched by the gentle sound of bells. The performance created a warm sense of togetherness as everyone embraced the start of the festive season.
Weronika explained that engaging with local groups is an important focus for the home: “Since we are based in a small village, collaborating with local groups and community organisations helps ensure our residents remain connected to the wonderful Thaxted community.”
The event marked a special start to December at Humfrey Lodge, leaving residents uplifted and excited for further Christmas celebrations.
