Rosedale Court Celebrates Elf & Christmas Jumper Day

Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, marked Elf & Christmas Jumper Day on 3 December 2025 with a colourful, joyful celebration in support of Alzheimer’s awareness. The day was led by Louise, Lifestyle Lead, who brought festive cheer to residents, staff, and families throughout the home.

Residents and staff embraced the occasion by dressing in elf costumes and Christmas jumpers, creating a vibrant display of seasonal spirit. Activities included a lively Healthy Elfy Walk around the grounds and hallways of Rosedale Court, fun games such as throwing soft balls at “our naughty elf Louise,” and a karaoke sing-along in the lounge.

The event was filled with laughter and festive excitement, made even more special by residents’ enthusiasm:

• Steven: “I love my Christmas jumper—do you like it too?” • Pat: “How funny throwing balls at our naughty elf Louise, she is crazy!” • Bobby: “Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!” • Norman: “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!”

“It's important for our residents to continue to be involved in festivities at this time of year,” said Louise. “Our residents love showing off their jumpers and having fun together.”

With plenty of colour, fun, and laughter, the highlight of the day was undeniably the playful game of throwing balls at the Naughty Elf, creating moments of joy that will be remembered throughout the season.
