Blakelands Lodge Care Home in Marston Moretaine is once again supporting local families this Easter by offering free packed lunches for children during the school holidays. From 30 March to 10 April, the care home will be providing complimentary packed lunches to help families who may find school holiday periods place extra pressure on household budgets. Families are welcome to drop in and collect a packed lunch between 10am and 3pm, with no need to book or explain their circumstances. The initiative is offered in complete confidence, with the aim of ensuring children in the local community have access to a nutritious meal during the holidays.
Hayley Lant, Front of House Manager at Blakelands Lodge Care Home, said: “School holidays can sometimes bring extra pressures for families, and as a care home at the heart of the community we want to do what we can to help. Offering free packed lunches is a small way for us to support local children and families over the Easter break. We want people to feel comfortable dropping in, there’s no need to explain anything, it’s simply there for anyone who might need a little extra support.”
The care home hopes the initiative will provide reassurance and practical support to parents and carers across Marston Moretaine and the surrounding area.
Anyone who would benefit from the offer, or who knows a family that might, is encouraged to drop by the care home during the collection times.
Blakelands Lodge Care Home is currently offering an introductory offer for new residents, with four weeks of care for the price of three, providing families with an opportunity to experience the high-quality, person-centred care on offer at the home.
