‘Say No to Infection’ GOLD Accreditation (SNTI) is a training resource and accreditation package dedicated to the prevention and control of infections, specifically for care homes. It was first introduced across Coventry care providers in 2014/15 supported initially by Coventry & Rugby Clinical commissioning Group. The Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) have relaunched this accreditation package across Coventry & Warwickshire. The SNTI training will be delivered in a stage approach, allowing care homes to achieve either bronze, silver, or gold status accreditation. Care Managers can decide which stage of the accreditation programme they want to engage with, and the outcomes they wish to achieve. Once the care home has achieved their chosen level, i.e., bronze, silver or gold and demonstrated a high achievement at that level, they can progress onto silver or gold, or stay on the current level. But we chose to progress to a Gold and we achieved it.
