Angela Baird, a nurse at Forth Bay Nursing Home reached the finals for the prestigious Nurse of the year Award.

Since Joining in 2005, Angela has shown exceptional aptitude for managing the 22-bed unit within Forth Bay. Angela is a great nurse on top of her role as Deputy Manager – caring, approachable and compassionate. The empathy she shows to residents, relatives, staff and students is exemplary. It is reflected in the way her team, students, residents and family members look up to her yet clearly enjoy her company immensely. This has brought a continuity of care to the unit that is noted in audits by the local pharmacy and the Care Inspectorate.
