Date: Wednesday 30 Jul 2025 – Wednesday 13 Aug 2025

Organiser: Emerson Grange Care Home

This relaxed and informal one-hour session will be led by Dementia Ambassador Jo Bown and it will be followed by a chance to chat over refreshments.

Dementia Friends is an initiative pioneered by the Alzheimer's Society with the aim of giving people a greater understanding of what it is like to live with dementia in an effort to tackle the stigma and sometimes the loneliness which touches the lives of millions of people - those living with dementia and those caring for them.

The Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. There are currently 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK and the aim is to transform the way the nations thinks, talks and acts around the condition.

Dementia Friends is about learning more about dementia and the small ways you can help. From telling friends about the Dementia Friends programme to visiting someone you know living with dementia, every action counts.
