What I Do:
In May 2022, I made the significant decision to join Cinnamon as the Care Service Manager, a choice that has since proven to be the most rewarding in my career. Within the company, I was fortunate to be promoted to Head of Care/Registered Manager.
As Head of Care/Registered Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the complete care process for our residents, starting from the preadmission phase. My primary goal is to ensure that each resident’s care journey begins with a strong foundation, allowing us to deliver personalized, compassionate, and high-quality care.
My role at Emerson Grange presents an exciting and inspiring challenge. I am committed to bringing my expertise, experience, and dedication to enhancing the well-being of our residents while upholding the highest standards of care. My focus is on ensuring that each resident enjoys a dignified and fulfilling quality of life. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the continued success of Emerson Grange as a leader in UK care services.
My Experience:
My healthcare career began in 2007 when I started working as a healthcare assistant within the National Health Service (NHS). This role provided me with invaluable hands-on experience and laid the foundation for my future in healthcare.
With a commitment to furthering my education and expertise, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Greenwich University, gaining essential knowledge and skills for delivering high-quality patient care. To expand my understanding of public health, I also earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Health from the University of Sunderland. This advanced qualification has enriched my perspective on healthcare management and service delivery.
Throughout my time with Cinnamon, I have gained extensive experience as a Care Service Manager, where I have embraced the company’s vision and values. This continuity has enabled me to transition smoothly into my current role as Head of Care/Registered Manager, where I am committed to fostering high standards of care for all residents.
About Me:
I am fortunate to be married and a proud parent of three wonderful children who continually inspire and motivate me in both my personal and professional life. Beyond my work and family, I enjoy pursuing creative hobbies such as design, where I take pleasure in the process of bringing ideas to life. I also have a passion for party planning, finding joy in organizing memorable events that bring happiness to others.
What I do:
Having had the pleasure of seeing this development from bricks and mortar to what it is today, and having often been the first point of contact at Emerson over the years, I am able to showcase our development and give an insight into the fantastic lifestyle we offer.
I am responsible for all aspects of the non-care operations in the development and am here to facilitate our lifestyle offering to our residents, apartment owners and their families and friends.
My experience:
I joined Cinnamon with over a decade of experience in both corporate and independent residential estate agencies, managing various departments over the years, from frontline Sales & Lettings to Property Management.
About me:
I am a proud husband and a father to two beautiful daughters, and I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family both at home and abroad, sharing our love of travel. I am an avid sports fan and in my spare time can often be found on the cricket field, on the golf course or watching American Football.
What I do:
As a Resident Services Advisor, I support families who are considering a change in their current living situation, sometimes as a choice and sometimes due to necessity. My role is both rewarding and fulfilling and brings me great satisfaction as no two days are ever the same, just as no two people are ever the same.
My aim is to support families to make the decision that is right for them and their loved ones. I appreciate that moving, whether downsizing to one of our apartments or into our care home, is a highly emotional experience, and I support and guide our residents and their families through the process, both offering advice and ensuring a smooth and timely move.
My experience:
I have been working in the care industry for over 20 years. My initial role as an activity coordinator provided me with the wonderful opportunity to get to know residents and learn about them as individuals. I have worked both regionally and at the home level in a variety of roles. As a member of the Emerson Park team, I endeavour to continue with my commitment to supporting residents, their families and my colleagues in ensuring that our home is a great place to live and work.
About me
I am lucky to have a large family around me, and when I am spending time away from work, I love to enjoy the company of those I love. I enjoy gardening, walking, and reading. I am a secret twitcher and can get overly excited when I see a rare bird.
What I do:
As a Resident Services Advisor, I am the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families. My role is both rewarding and meaningful, as I have the privilege of supporting families through their journey into care. It’s an honour to introduce them to our luxurious home and the exceptional lifestyle we offer, helping them feel confident, comfortable, and welcomed every step of the way."
My Experience:
I began my career in the travel industry, where I was fortunate enough to explore different parts of the world. This experience sparked my love for diverse cultures and connecting with people from all walks of life.
After leaving the travel industry, I transitioned into HR, where I was responsible for recruiting staff across multiple care homes, including nurses and care staff. It was during this time that I developed a deep understanding and appreciation for the importance of providing high-quality care to residents.
This naturally led me to a role where I worked closely with families, supporting them through the emotional and practical journey of moving a loved one into care. I later progressed to become a Regional Manager for a luxury care provider. Over the past fifteen years, I’ve had the privilege of working in the care sector offering support, advice, and compassion to families during some of their most important decisions.
I chose to join Cinnamon as a Resident Services Advisor because I wanted to focus on making a difference within one home. It was an easy decision, given Cinnamon’s outstanding reputation in the care profession.
About Me:
I have a passion for travelling with a love for cruising; there’s nothing better than exploring multiple countries in one trip. I’ve always had a connection with animals, especially dogs and horses, and used to compete in horse shows when I was younger. I’m also a huge music lover and never miss a good concert, especially my favourite group, Bon Jovi. I’m a qualified Reiki healer and enjoy bringing calm and balance to others when I can.
My Experience:
I have had 14 years of experience in the Housekeeping industry and worked in luxury 5* serviced apartments, where I gain excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team. I am passionate to providing outstanding care and cleaning service for all residents to make the home an amazing place to be.
About me:
I was born in Lithuania and can speak two additional languages: Lithuanian and Russian. I like spending time with my family, camping, or just exploring nice and new places. Also, cycling, going to the theatre, and I enjoy travelling the world.
What I do
As Administrator, my role is to ensure the smooth running of the administrative functions in the home to support the General Manager. In this, I am ably supported by two full-time Reception Administrators and a part-time Recruitment Administrator.
My Experience
The Administration tasks cover payroll and all HR matters from initial recruitment to leaving employment, including providing minutes for a variety of meetings; sales ledger for residents and apartment owners, purchase ledger transactions, bank reconciliations and petty cash. There are many ad hoc tasks as well as dealing with queries relating to sales and purchase invoices. No two days are the same and I enjoy the variety and challenge of getting things done when plans go awry!
I have worked as an Administrator in a care home for more than 15 years and always enjoy the sense of being part of a team with my colleagues, doing our best for the residents and their families.
About Me
Outside work, I enjoy walking, with or without my dog, cycling, gardening, reading and visiting my daughter who lives in Bath.
What I Do:
My role at Emerson is to keep the building and grounds maintained to the highest standard. I make sure that all the equipment in the home is working correctly, as well as making sure it’s serviced and certificated. I also make sure that Emerson is a safe environment for the residents, visitors and staff.
My Experience:
I am a qualified electrician having completed an intensive 2-year apprenticeship. During my time working for my Dads business, I carried out a wide variety of jobs including fitting bathrooms, tiling, central heating repairs and roofing. I then joined a student accommodation company, carrying out maintenance on a 400-bed building for students of the Royal College of Music.
About Me:
Originally from Reading, I moved to the area in 2015 before getting married to my wife. Most of my free time outside of work is spent with my running club, training, coaching the club’s youngsters or running around a muddy field doing cross country! I’ve also taken up road cycling over the past year with the aim of one day completing a triathlon.
