Our friend recently moved to Emerson's, and it's been amazing being able to see her on social media. We joined them for a quiz night, and the staff were attentive, the drinks and food were delicious, and it was a great night. The events held for residents are well thought out, relevant and fun. The
staff clearly enjoy working at Emerson's.

There are not enough words to express the brilliance, and professionalism from Emerson Grange. They made my father feel welcome and cared for extending this to all his family at the most emotional time. I cannot thank them enough. The transition from being a flat owner to the nursing home took a lot
of anxiety away, as the staff knew my father and he felt part of the community even before he went to Emerson Grange. Through the most difficult time, the staff were very conscientious of not only giving the best care to my father, but the best care to all his family including his grandchildren. Thank you Emerson for all you do. I wouldn't have wanted my father to have gone anywhere else.

My father moved into Emerson Grange in September 2024 when he was no longer able to care for himself at home. From the moment he arrived he was made to feel most welcome and part of the Emerson family. The manager and staff on Buckingham provided the most amazing care during his short time with them.
They liaised with the local hospice and medical team to ensure Dad received the highest quality end of life care. As a family of nurses it meant so much to us that our dear dad passed away peacefully, pain-free and with dignity. Furthermore, during dad's last days we were looked after and supported so well which enabled us to focus on spending quality time with him. Thank you Emerson.

My dad spent 6 weeks at Emerson Grange Care Home for palliative and end of life care. They were truly amazing! They showed immense compassion for him and us as a family. The nurses demonstrated a high level of nursing expertise and knowledge and liaised regularly with the hospice to optimise his care.
They spent time treating my dad with dignity and respect referring to his wishes. They knew he took pride in his appearance and even shaved him on the day he died. They listened to our concerns and involved us in all decisions. In his final days we were allowed to be with him 24/7. Staff were kind to us providing us with bed linen and ensuring we were offered meals and drinks. They cared for us and dad. There are no words to express how grateful we are to the team at Emerson Grange for all the support they showed to us and for allowing dad to die peacefully with dignity and respect. Thank you!

The staff supporting Mum have all been wonderful and very kind and cannot be faulted. The only issue has been about the standard of food and in particular the temperature of it when it arrives. Not being a meat eater and unable to eat spicy or savoury food what is on offer at different times has not
been a big enough variety.
Reply from Aadil Baig, Support Services Manager at Emerson Grange Care HomeThank you for your kind words and for taking the time to share your feedback about our wonderful team. We value your input regarding the variety of food. Our team is always working to improve the dining experience, and we'll be sure to review the menu variety. Please do not hesitate to speak with our hosting team or myself if there are particular adjustments that would improve the experience for your mother.

I am very happy with the care my mother receives on the 2nd floor "Windsor". Her dementia continues to progress, and the challenges that brings have been met by the care team. I find it easy to talk to her team with any concerns and they are all very approachable - with an open door when I have been
going past. I praise the activities team very highly as they work well to keep mum occupied, when she is occupied she is happy! A positive atmosphere always.

I recently had major thoracic surgery and was very nervous about returning home after hospital discharge given the invasive nature of the surgery and lack of confidence about how independent I would be. I felt convalescent care would be a good way for me to gain confidence during the hardest part of
my recovery, with trained staff on hand to manage medical needs, and a hospital style bed and wet room during a period of reduced mobility.
Less than four months after Emerson Grange provided expert and compassionate end of life care for my mother, there was no question for me about where to stay during recovery, and unlike many other providers, they are insured for people under 50.
From the moment I arrived, my needs were fully taken care of. The level of care is second to none, but so are the surroundings, food and accommodation, and all staff members really are exceptional. I would not hesitate to recommend Emerson Grange to anyone who is looking for a very high standard of care.

My review is based on the 5 years and 6 months my brother was a resident from September 2018 when Emerson Care Home opened. Suffering from Alzheimer's and needing 24/7 care, becoming a danger to himself living alone.
The day my brother arrived, he was greeted with love and affection although it did
take a couple of weeks for him to settle into his new surroundings. The staff were fantastic with his caring needs, gently assisting him to feel safe and happy. Over the years I have seen many changes. In all the years I had only complained once about an issue of his care. Other than this occasion, I have always been more than happy. My brother became totally bedridden, eventually being transferred to the Palliative Care Floor. The nursing care was fantastic in every way and how they also looked after me. One member of staff who I have known from the very first day is totally committed to Emerson by helping residents, relatives and staff.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.862)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.862) out of 10 for Emerson Grange Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 76 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 76 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.862 for Emerson Grange Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (785 Excellents x 5) + (106 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 900 Ratings = 4.862
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Emerson Grange Care Home is based on 76 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 85 registered maximum number of service users is 17, which has been reached with 76 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

What I Do:

In May 2022, I made the significant decision to join Cinnamon as the Care Service Manager, a choice that has since proven to be the most rewarding in my career. Within the company, I was fortunate to be promoted to Head of Care/Registered Manager.

As Head of Care/Registered Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the complete care process for our residents, starting from the preadmission phase. My primary goal is to ensure that each resident’s care journey begins with a strong foundation, allowing us to deliver personalized, compassionate, and high-quality care.

My role at Emerson Grange presents an exciting and inspiring challenge. I am committed to bringing my expertise, experience, and dedication to enhancing the well-being of our residents while upholding the highest standards of care. My focus is on ensuring that each resident enjoys a dignified and fulfilling quality of life. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the continued success of Emerson Grange as a leader in UK care services.

My Experience:

My healthcare career began in 2007 when I started working as a healthcare assistant within the National Health Service (NHS). This role provided me with invaluable hands-on experience and laid the foundation for my future in healthcare.

With a commitment to furthering my education and expertise, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Greenwich University, gaining essential knowledge and skills for delivering high-quality patient care. To expand my understanding of public health, I also earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Health from the University of Sunderland. This advanced qualification has enriched my perspective on healthcare management and service delivery.

Throughout my time with Cinnamon, I have gained extensive experience as a Care Service Manager, where I have embraced the company’s vision and values. This continuity has enabled me to transition smoothly into my current role as Head of Care/Registered Manager, where I am committed to fostering high standards of care for all residents.

About Me:

I am fortunate to be married and a proud parent of three wonderful children who continually inspire and motivate me in both my personal and professional life. Beyond my work and family, I enjoy pursuing creative hobbies such as design, where I take pleasure in the process of bringing ideas to life. I also have a passion for party planning, finding joy in organizing memorable events that bring happiness to others.

Having had the pleasure of seeing this development from bricks and mortar to what it is today, and having often been the first point of contact at Emerson over the years, I am able to showcase our development and give an insight into the fantastic lifestyle we offer.

I am responsible for all aspects of the non-care operations in the development and am here to facilitate our lifestyle offering to our residents, apartment owners and their families and friends.

My experience:
I joined Cinnamon with over a decade of experience in both corporate and independent residential estate agencies, managing various departments over the years, from frontline Sales & Lettings to Property Management.

About me:
I am a proud husband and a father to two beautiful daughters, and I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family both at home and abroad, sharing our love of travel. I am an avid sports fan and in my spare time can often be found on the cricket field, on the golf course or watching American Football.

Job Title: Resident Service Advisor Joined: 2021

What I do:
As a Resident Services Advisor, I support families who are considering a change in their current living situation, sometimes as a choice and sometimes due to necessity. My role is both rewarding and fulfilling and brings me great satisfaction as no two days are ever the same, just as no two people are ever the same.

My aim is to support families to make the decision that is right for them and their loved ones. I appreciate that moving, whether downsizing to one of our apartments or into our care home, is a highly emotional experience, and I support and guide our residents and their families through the process, both offering advice and ensuring a smooth and timely move.

My experience:
I have been working in the care industry for over 20 years. My initial role as an activity coordinator provided me with the wonderful opportunity to get to know residents and learn about them as individuals. I have worked both regionally and at the home level in a variety of roles. As a member of the Emerson Park team, I endeavour to continue with my commitment to supporting residents, their families and my colleagues in ensuring that our home is a great place to live and work.

About me
I am lucky to have a large family around me, and when I am spending time away from work, I love to enjoy the company of those I love. I enjoy gardening, walking, and reading. I am a secret twitcher and can get overly excited when I see a rare bird.
