I recently had major thoracic surgery and was very nervous about returning home after hospital discharge given the invasive nature of the surgery and lack of confidence about how independent I would be. I felt convalescent care would be a good way for me to gain confidence during the hardest part of my recovery, with trained staff on hand to manage medical needs, and a hospital style bed and wet room during a period of reduced mobility.
Less than four months after Emerson Grange provided expert and compassionate end of life care for my mother, there was no question for me about where to stay during recovery, and unlike many other providers, they are insured for people under 50.

From the moment I arrived, my needs were fully taken care of. The level of care is second to none, but so are the surroundings, food and accommodation, and all staff members really are exceptional. I would not hesitate to recommend Emerson Grange to anyone who is looking for a very high standard of care.

My review is based on the 5 years and 6 months my brother was a resident from September 2018 when Emerson Care Home opened. Suffering from Alzheimer's and needing 24/7 care, becoming a danger to himself living alone.

The day my brother arrived, he was greeted with love and affection although it did take a couple of weeks for him to settle into his new surroundings. The staff were fantastic with his caring needs, gently assisting him to feel safe and happy. Over the years I have seen many changes. In all the years I had only complained once about an issue of his care. Other than this occasion, I have always been more than happy. My brother became totally bedridden, eventually being transferred to the Palliative Care Floor. The nursing care was fantastic in every way and how they also looked after me. One member of staff who I have known from the very first day is totally committed to Emerson by helping residents, relatives and staff.

Emerson Grange is an amazing facility, it really is a care home that breaks the mould with its overall homely feel and care above and beyond. The staff are amazing, the facilities really are the best. Always a friendly face and 'home from home'. The worries I had with my mum moving into care have faded away, replaced with a feeling she really is in a genuinely good place! Keep up the good work.

My father has been at Emerson Grange Care Home since September 2024. I can honestly say all the staff are fantastic, caring and supportive. When I requested my dad move floors, this was done quickly and efficiently by the manager. The head of nursing is always helpful and knowledgeable.

Reception staff are especially lovely always with a smile. One thing dad would like is better food.

My wife has been a resident (nursing care) at Emerson Grange Care Home since February 2023. My sons and I undertook careful evaluation of homes providing nursing care 24/7 before applying on my wife's behalf to Emerson Grange. It has been the best decision we could have made, our overall experience of the professional support and care my wife receives has been first class. I visit daily and have noticed a significant improvement in my wife's health and well being since her transfer form hospital. We are most appreciative.

We decided to put our mother-in-law into a home in April this year. After looking at 10 to 15 homes, we chose Emerson Grange Care Home. It stood well above all the others we viewed and has not let us down. The staff goes above and beyond with service and care. It was a very difficult decision to put a family member into care, but we have no regrets. Emerson has been a godsend. 5 stars.

Having recently moved my mother into a beautiful room on the second floor (dementia floor) I have been very pleased with the way she has settled. The staff have been very caring and attentive. What I Do:

In May 2022, I made the significant decision to join Cinnamon as the Care Service Manager, a choice that has since proven to be the most rewarding in my career. Within the company, I was fortunate to be promoted to Head of Care/Registered Manager.

As Head of Care/Registered Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the complete care process for our residents, starting from the preadmission phase. My primary goal is to ensure that each resident’s care journey begins with a strong foundation, allowing us to deliver personalized, compassionate, and high-quality care.

My role at Emerson Grange presents an exciting and inspiring challenge. I am committed to bringing my expertise, experience, and dedication to enhancing the well-being of our residents while upholding the highest standards of care. My focus is on ensuring that each resident enjoys a dignified and fulfilling quality of life. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the continued success of Emerson Grange as a leader in UK care services.

My Experience:

My healthcare career began in 2007 when I started working as a healthcare assistant within the National Health Service (NHS). This role provided me with invaluable hands-on experience and laid the foundation for my future in healthcare.

With a commitment to furthering my education and expertise, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Greenwich University, gaining essential knowledge and skills for delivering high-quality patient care. To expand my understanding of public health, I also earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Health from the University of Sunderland. This advanced qualification has enriched my perspective on healthcare management and service delivery.

Throughout my time with Cinnamon, I have gained extensive experience as a Care Service Manager, where I have embraced the company’s vision and values. This continuity has enabled me to transition smoothly into my current role as Head of Care/Registered Manager, where I am committed to fostering high standards of care for all residents.

About Me:

I am fortunate to be married and a proud parent of three wonderful children who continually inspire and motivate me in both my personal and professional life. Beyond my work and family, I enjoy pursuing creative hobbies such as design, where I take pleasure in the process of bringing ideas to life. I also have a passion for party planning, finding joy in organizing memorable events that bring happiness to others.

What I do:

Having had the pleasure of seeing this development from bricks and mortar to what it is today, and having often been the first point of contact at Emerson over the years, I am able to showcase our development and give an insight into the fantastic lifestyle we offer.

I am responsible for all aspects of the non-care operations in the development and am here to facilitate our lifestyle offering to our residents, apartment owners and their families and friends.

My experience:

I joined Cinnamon with over a decade of experience in both corporate and independent residential estate agencies, managing various departments over the years, from frontline Sales & Lettings to Property Management.

About me:

I am a proud husband and a father to two beautiful daughters, and I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family both at home and abroad, sharing our love of travel. I am an avid sports fan and in my spare time can often be found on the cricket field, on the golf course or watching American Football.

What I do:

As a Resident Services Advisor, I support families who are considering a change in their current living situation, sometimes as a choice and sometimes due to necessity. My role is both rewarding and fulfilling and brings me great satisfaction as no two days are ever the same, just as no two people are ever the same.

My aim is to support families to make the decision that is right for them and their loved ones. I appreciate that moving, whether downsizing to one of our apartments or into our care home, is a highly emotional experience, and I support and guide our residents and their families through the process, both offering advice and ensuring a smooth and timely move.

My experience:

I have been working in the care industry for over 20 years. My initial role as an activity coordinator provided me with the wonderful opportunity to get to know residents and learn about them as individuals. I have worked both regionally and at the home level in a variety of roles. As a member of the Emerson Park team, I endeavour to continue with my commitment to supporting residents, their families and my colleagues in ensuring that our home is a great place to live and work.

About me

I am lucky to have a large family around me, and when I am spending time away from work, I love to enjoy the company of those I love. I enjoy gardening, walking, and reading. I am a secret twitcher and can get overly excited when I see a rare bird.
