My dad spent 6 weeks at Emerson Grange Care Home for palliative and end of life care. They were truly amazing! They showed immense compassion for him and us as a family. The nurses demonstrated a high level of nursing expertise and knowledge and liaised regularly with the hospice to optimise his care. They spent time treating my dad with dignity and respect referring to his wishes. They knew he took pride in his appearance and even shaved him on the day he died. They listened to our concerns and involved us in all decisions. In his final days we were allowed to be with him 24/7. Staff were kind to us providing us with bed linen and ensuring we were offered meals and drinks. They cared for us and dad. There are no words to express how grateful we are to the team at Emerson Grange for all the support they showed to us and for allowing dad to die peacefully with dignity and respect. Thank you!

The day my brother arrived, he was greeted with love and affection although it did take a couple of weeks for him to settle into his new surroundings. The staff were fantastic with his caring needs, gently assisting him to feel safe and happy. Over the years I have seen many changes. In all the years I had only complained once about an issue of his care. Other than this occasion, I have always been more than happy. My brother became totally bedridden, eventually being transferred to the Palliative Care Floor. The nursing care was fantastic in every way and how they also looked after me. One member of staff who I have known from the very first day is totally committed to Emerson by helping residents, relatives and staff.
