I live in one of the apartments at Emerson Park. Recently I experienced a sudden and life-threatening health incident. I was able to contact the receptionist who sent somebody to my apartment to check on me. He was promptly followed by a nurse. The nurse took my vital signs and promptly contacted 999 she told them she thought I might have sepsis. The ambulance came promptly and took me to hospital. If I had not lived here where prompt efficient and knowledgeable staff were available I might not be alive.

At 95, he has been in and out of hospital with chest infections for years. Since being here, he has been so well looked after. He has only needed to visit the hospital once, at the beginning of his stay. And to be honest, we couldn't wait for him to be discharged so he could go back to the Granges for better care. I really cannot recommend this home enough.

Recent restructuring has worked really well for my mum. Life is quieter now and she has responded by being more chatty and interactive. She does more for herself and is happy and content. Moving staff she knew along with residents made the move easy and stress-free. As a family, we are really happy with the love and care shown to our mum.

Mum is very comfortable here. Staff are caring. She has had two accidents in the past year and they have ensured she is well looked after. Sometimes (not often) I feel staff are overstretched, generally in the post-lunch period when other staff are taking lunch and I have stayed longer than intended just to satisfy myself that all is ok. Also, sometimes comms/process is unclear. However, overall I am very satisfied with the care Mum has received since being here.

My mother-in-law lives at the home, and it has made such a difference to her. She was living on her own, had a few falls, was diagnosed with dementia and became anxious. It was a constant worry for our family, but now, when we visit, she is relaxed, eating better and doing more activity. The staff are very patient and caring, and we are very happy with the decision we made.

My mother-in-law lived at Hextable for 5 years she passed away in August and after 5 years not even a card or flowers were sent to my wife, and no representation at the funeral. Shows you what the care means, we care about your money each month, it's a joke after 5 years of living there they don't give a hoot, just show you.

I don't even know where to start; the care my friend has received from the staff has been so compassionate. Staff are attentive and do their best to meet everyone's needs. My friend was here for a few weeks and there was a change in their mood and she was even eating better. I like the fact that I could express any concerns and they got dealt with on the spot. Good management team and support from both home deputy manager and unit manager. Thank you.

Emerson Grange is very welcoming, and having assessed a number of homes, my opinion is that it is superior to all other local homes. It is spacious, and the bedrooms are adequately self-contained. The dining facilities are very good, and the food is well prepared and of a high standard. Care workers vary. Some carers are extremely kind and friendly due to their culture. All areas are scrupulously clean. Management is available and helpful. Every effort is made to keep this as a high-class care home.

What I Do:

In May 2022, I made the significant decision to join Cinnamon as the Care Service Manager, a choice that has since proven to be the most rewarding in my career. Within the company, I was fortunate to be promoted to Head of Care/Registered Manager.

As Head of Care/Registered Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the complete care process for our residents, starting from the preadmission phase. My primary goal is to ensure that each resident’s care journey begins with a strong foundation, allowing us to deliver personalized, compassionate, and high-quality care.

My role at Emerson Grange presents an exciting and inspiring challenge. I am committed to bringing my expertise, experience, and dedication to enhancing the well-being of our residents while upholding the highest standards of care. My focus is on ensuring that each resident enjoys a dignified and fulfilling quality of life. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the continued success of Emerson Grange as a leader in UK care services.

My Experience:

My healthcare career began in 2007 when I started working as a healthcare assistant within the National Health Service (NHS). This role provided me with invaluable hands-on experience and laid the foundation for my future in healthcare.

With a commitment to furthering my education and expertise, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Greenwich University, gaining essential knowledge and skills for delivering high-quality patient care. To expand my understanding of public health, I also earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Health from the University of Sunderland. This advanced qualification has enriched my perspective on healthcare management and service delivery.

Throughout my time with Cinnamon, I have gained extensive experience as a Care Service Manager, where I have embraced the company’s vision and values. This continuity has enabled me to transition smoothly into my current role as Head of Care/Registered Manager, where I am committed to fostering high standards of care for all residents.

About Me:

I am fortunate to be married and a proud parent of three wonderful children who continually inspire and motivate me in both my personal and professional life. Beyond my work and family, I enjoy pursuing creative hobbies such as design, where I take pleasure in the process of bringing ideas to life. I also have a passion for party planning, finding joy in organizing memorable events that bring happiness to others.

What I do:

Having had the pleasure of seeing this development from bricks and mortar to what it is today, and having often been the first point of contact at Emerson over the years, I am able to showcase our development and give an insight into the fantastic lifestyle we offer.

I am responsible for all aspects of the non-care operations in the development and am here to facilitate our lifestyle offering to our residents, apartment owners and their families and friends.

My experience:

I joined Cinnamon with over a decade of experience in both corporate and independent residential estate agencies, managing various departments over the years, from frontline Sales & Lettings to Property Management.

About me:

I am a proud husband and a father to two beautiful daughters, and I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family both at home and abroad, sharing our love of travel. I am an avid sports fan and in my spare time can often be found on the cricket field, on the golf course or watching American Football.

Aileen NimmoJob Title:Resident Service AdvisorJoined: 2021
What I do:

As a Resident Services Advisor, I support families who are considering a change in their current living situation, sometimes as a choice and sometimes due to necessity. My role is both rewarding and fulfilling and brings me great satisfaction as no two days are ever the same, just as no two people are ever the same.

My aim is to support families to make the decision that is right for them and their loved ones. I appreciate that moving, whether downsizing to one of our apartments or into our care home, is a highly emotional experience, and I support and guide our residents and their families through the process, both offering advice and ensuring a smooth and timely move.

My experience:

I have been working in the care industry for over 20 years. My initial role as an activity coordinator provided me with the wonderful opportunity to get to know residents and learn about them as individuals. I have worked both regionally and at the home level in a variety of roles. As a member of the Emerson Park team, I endeavour to continue with my commitment to supporting residents, their families and my colleagues in ensuring that our home is a great place to live and work.

About me

I am lucky to have a large family around me, and when I am spending time away from work, I love to enjoy the company of those I love. I enjoy gardening, walking, and reading. I am a secret twitcher and can get overly excited when I see a rare bird.
