My Aunt was suffering from Alzheimers when she became a resident at Emerson Grange in September 2018. Having the power of attorney for my Aunt I was anxious to ensure she was well looked after and comfortable. Throughout her seven and a half years she received excellent care and I cannot speak highly
enough of the management and staff who treat the residents with respect and dignity.

Since my uncle's mum moved into Emerson Grange Care Home in March 2025, she has blossomed. Emerson is a lovely place that caters to her every need. All the staff are friendly and caring, with the residents well being at the heart of everything they do. The food is amazing and the activities that are
organised cater for all abilities. She is in her happy place.

My great aunt moved into Emerson Care Home almost a year ago, and she loves it. The care home is like a 5 star hotel. The staff are caring, attentive, and nothing is to much trouble. There is always something to do for the residents, activities and events, and the food is delicious. Peace of mind knowing
she is so well cared for. It's not cheap by any means, but you get what you pay for.

Both our parents are residents of Emerson Grange. They have been here for 3+ years. Throughout their past and continued stay, they have received outstanding care, compassion and have been treated well. I always live with the comfort that my parents are safe and well cared for. I visit my parents regularly

I couldn't be more happy that my Dad is at Emerson Grange. He was previously being cared for at home by an agency. Since arrival, his mood, mobility and health have shown a massive improvement. months is special.

I cannot fault the care but I find Management very slow to respond to emails. I also was shocked at the annual increase which equates to £700 a month and this is around 9%. This means our money is dwindling. Never once in the time my relative has been there have they checked in for any financial support
check we are ok. Our money will run out in around 8 months. There's never a suggestion of chat to us. I feel really quite disappointed with this. I find the new manager less friendly than the old one and overall I am not feeling particularly happy with the home right now. Just to be clear a recent review put costs up at £8k per month. Up by £700 per month. Care staff are lovely but I feel management is a bit of a let down.
Reply from Charlotte Dean, Home Admissions Advisor at Hartwood House Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on carehome.co.uk.

We are very pleased to hear your positive comments about the care and support provided to your loved one, and we truly appreciate you awarding us the maximum score for care. Delivering high-quality, compassionate care is our top priority, so it is very encouraging for the team to know this is recognised.

We are sorry to hear about your concerns regarding administration and communication. Following your review on google, we are aware our General Manager did make contact to discuss this with you; however, we understand it was not a convenient time to continue the conversation. Our General Manager is available to speak further at a time that suits you and remain available whenever it is convenient for you to continue the discussion.

Thank you again for sharing your feedback with us. It is always valuable in helping us improve, and we look forward to speaking with you soon.

Could not speak more highly of Lakeview Grange. All the staff are incredible helpful and there isn't anything that is too much to ask for from them. The care senior Caitlyn is an absolute pleasure to deal with and is remarkable with all residents, supporting their needs and making them feel at home.
Lakeview Grange provide a luxurious home from home, the entertainment and food are incredible and the facilities are state of the art.
Most importantly, the staff treat all residents like family, the level of care they provide is above and beyond.

This is a wonderful care home. My mother has been so well cared for over the last 18 months. The home is very comfortable with lots of activities for residents. But most of all the level of care from the wonderful staff is second to none. Highly recommended.

I visited my friend's mother on 10th February 26. In the morning I was so very impressed by the warmest of welcomes, I received by all the staff. The atmosphere at 'Lakeview' in Chichester was amazing! I waited in the lounge for a while and was so impressed by the kindness I witnessed towards all the
residents! Especially one of the staff who was dancing and singing with a group of residents as they enjoyed a valentines 'singalong'. Lakeview is most certainly a luxury retirement home!
I remain beyond very impressed. My friend's mother is being looked after so so well. Thank you.

Nobody wants their loved ones to go into care, but if and when it happens, Abbotswood Court, in my honest opinion nis as good as it gets. My dad used to own care homes, and they were of a very high standard. Ironically, he now resides in one, and I am happy to say that it is of the same high standard
that, as a proprietor, he expected. Well done!

My Father went in for 1/12 Respite to recuperate post hip injury and pneumonia. He was so unwell, recovered there well, cared for and supported to a very high standard. In particular Dom & Ashleigh took exceptional care of him, going out of their way to help him. As did all the staff - a wonderful team.
Special mention to Brandon who really helped my Dad. So many more kind team members - I will leave my Dad to mention. He thoroughly enjoyed the activities and care there. Will be forever grateful. He is considering returning as a full time resident - but would request a garden room please!. .
Reply from Daniel Ridgeway, Home Admissions Advisor at Earlsfield CourtThank you for taking the time to review the home. It was a pleasure to care for dad as part of our Earlsfield Family and we look forward to him making Earlsfield Court his new permanent home. I will pass on you kind words to the team.

Lawrence had a lovely time. He was well looked after and the food was excellent!
He came back happy and refreshed.
His room was very nice and quiet but too warm for him! The allocated carer was very nice and attentive. Lawrence would love to come back sometime!

My dad's care has been extremely good, on every level. The last year of his life has been made very comfortable, and for that we thank you hugely. All staff have gone above and beyond and have formed a lovely bond with my dad, for which we thank you hugely too.

Merriman Grange Care Home

My mum had 2 respite stays at Merriman Grange at the end of last year. I cannot recommend it highly enough. All the staff are friendly, kind & professional. The bedrooms and all the communal areas are beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The food is varied and of a high quality and smaller
appetites are catered for. The activities program and outings are interesting and varied and residents are encouraged to join in but it is acknowledged that sometimes people want to have some quiet time and this is also OK.
Merriman Grange is more like a 5 star hotel than a care home - highly recommended in all areas.
