Watermeadow Grange has surpassed our expectations in all areas. The staff cannot have been more efficient, helpful, friendly and kind. The admission process for my father was excellent - everything was made simple and clear and the staff displayed empathy and kindness to our situation. My father is
very well - looked after by enthusiastic and cheerful people, with plent of activities and new friends. Thank you.

Due to and accident resulting in a fractured vertebrae and horrendous pain I signed in to the home for 2 weeks care. During this time I rarely moved from my delightful room. Following a review, further care was needed, so I stayed for another 4 weeks enjoying the many activities, and in the company
of friends, we could meet in the various lounges. Most importantly, I made some new interesting friendships and hope to return to visit them. The friendly ambiance of staff and others made it a very enjoyable stay.
Reply from Tanya Williams, Home Admissions Advisor at Watermeadow GrangeThank you for your review and lovely comments, I will make sure I pass these on to the teams. You are very welcome to come back and visit at any time, it would be lovely to see you again.

I chose Watermeadow Grange because of the care the staff took in visiting my home and assessing my needs beforehand. Other care homes simply offered a place on the phone. The care I received was exemplary and the patience of the staff much appreciated. The opportunity to give feedback on the menus and
food generally was welcome and the fact that suggestions were acted on valued. The range of activities is excellent. WMG is a "home from home" all wonderful. I felt safe. Thank you.

We recently celebrated a friends birthday at Watermeadow Grange, and I couldn't be more impressed with the experience. The staff went above and beyond by providing private facilities for the occasion, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the day truly special. The attention to detail was
evident in every aspect from the beautifully arranged space to the delicious food that was served. The presentation was restaurant quality. Special thanks to the host on the day, who was not only professional and attentive but genuinely kind and engaging. They made sure everything ran smoothly, especially the birthday guests felt celebrated and cared for. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a care home that truly treats residents like family.

I have nothing but wonderful words to say about Watermeadow Grange. My father recently passed away, he was 87 with Alzheimers and went into Watermeadow Grange in July last year for full time care. He was for there for eight months, and during that time received the most loving and professional care,
the staff took the time to get to know the real him, dancing with him and changing his records regularly, as music was his thing! I cannot praise the staff enough, they were more like friends who cared for him dearly, and also cared for us (wife and daughter). At the end of his life, we will never forget the compassionate care they gave him. Watermeadow Grange is like a 5 star hotel with 5 star care. I would not hesitate to recommend.

From the start with Watermeadow Grange, we felt we were dealing with friends and family. We were looking for short-term respite care for my Dad who lives with us, while we went on holiday. The home admissions advisor was fantastic - and our initial visit with Dad to the home was like visiting a 5-star
hotel. I could not have left Dad in anywhere I would not have stayed myself, and honestly it felt like Watermeadow Grange was a luxury home from home. We had a lovely home visit prior to admission, where Dad's interests, routines and story were tracked. When we dropped Dad off for his 2-week stay, my husband and I joined Dad for a delicious lunch (and wine!). I honestly can say Watermeadow Grange has been absolutely amazing, and given us options to have some time together as a family, away from care-giving responsibilities. I cannot recommend Watermeadow Grange enough. The staff are amazing, the fabric luxurious, the food delicious. You can trust them to care 150 per cent with your loved one.
Reply from Selina Sapsford, Home Admissions Advisor at Watermeadow GrangeWow what a truly wonderful review, thank you so much, we will pass on your comments to the team. We are so happy that you were able to enjoy some family time in the knowledge that your dad was safe and being well looked after. We look forward to welcoming him back in the future!

I am 95 years old and became a widow in 2017. I lived alone but early this year found that I needed more care. My family introduced me to Watermeadow Grange in March 2024 and I moved in on 21/3/2024. I can only recommend this care home as being of the highest quality and as you will see I have awarded
the highest marks to all the relevant questions. I guess each one of us would prefer to be independent but if one has to live in a care home this is the best.

My experience of Watermeadow Grange was excellent. There is a wonderful calm ambience in the building. All of the staff I encountered were extremely calm and helpful. I have not answered two of the questions below, being activities as I have not witnessed any, also value for money because I do not know
the cost of staying at Watermeadow Grange so could not comment. However I was and am very impressed with the facility.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.936)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.936) out of 10 for Watermeadow Grange is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 39 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.936 for Watermeadow Grange is calculated as follows: ( (425 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 452 Ratings = 4.936
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Watermeadow Grange is based on 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 86 registered maximum number of service users is 17.2, which has been reached with 39 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Choosing the right care home can be a difficult decision to make, whether it be future planning or reacting to a crisis, it’s often a daunting, emotional experience for the prospective resident or their family but I am here to make the journey simple, clear and give all the answers to all the questions you may have and make the process a positive one.

My Experience
Delivering excellent customer service has always been a passion of mine, and I have many years of experience working in the social housing sector. However, for the last 6 years, I have worked in the luxury care home sector, which has been so rewarding, and it’s always been a pleasure to be the first point of contact for people enquiring. I strongly believe in treating people in the same way I would expect myself or my family to be treated. A little bit of kindness goes a long way. After relocating to North Devon, I am proud to be working for Cinnamon Care Collection and continue in a role I am passionate about with a company that shares the same passions and ethics as I do.

About Me
In March, I relocated from Wiltshire to North Devon with my partner to follow our self-build dream, selling our beautiful home to move onto our plot (yes, in a caravan!), so for the foreseeable future, my spare time will be on the site getting stuck in to make the dream a reality! When I do get some ‘me’ time, I am a keen runner, having completed numerous half marathons to eventually complete a full marathon, I’d be happy just doing it once though!! I have two grown-up children and am so lucky to have the most adorable 2 year old granddaughter.
