My sister and I went to meet Jessica , the Home Admissions Advisor , and she showed us round and helped put our kind at rest . Mum was a little anxious about moving from the family home , but I have to say that from the moment she moved in on 11th April 2025 , she was made to feel welcome , sage and looked after . The staff were wonderful and always looked out for mum, giving us regular updates . I visited every week to take mum out , and was always impressed at how welcoming and friendly the staff were ! Mum settled in very quickly , and had a very good year there . Sadly she passed away on 5th April this year .. once again the staff couldn't have been more supportive! Thanks !

Leah Lodge has been wonderful for our mum, who has advanced dementia. She was very anxious about moving into full-time care, but within days she relaxed and began to thrive. The staff are kind, patient, professional and genuinely caring. Mum often tells us how safe and happy she feels, and how relieved she is not to worry about chores anymore. The food is excellent, and we're always welcomed to eat with her when visiting. The home is immaculate - more like a boutique hotel than a care home. Staff treat residents with dignity, learn their preferences, and support them beautifully even on difficult days. A moment that stood out was seeing a staff member greet Mum with a hug and say she'd missed her - it showed how loved she is there. We only wish we'd made the move sooner. We highly recommend Leah Lodge to anyone looking for dementia care.

The staff seem to be attentive to mum's eventual medical needs. They are prompt to communicate if something happens. They have raised SG for a DTI.when even her personal doctor had not. They made sure that mum was visited by the doctor and district nurse as necessary. They are approchable to us the family.

In 2024 I started searching for a safe place for a 90 year old lady who was no longer able to look after herself in her flat. I have lived in Blackheath for 40 years and set the bar high to find the right care home. When I visited Leah Lodge the search ended.The staff listened, respected and understood our needs. My many questions were all answered. Within a few weeks a well appointed room was offered. My friend was delighted. Our requests have been listened to as needs have changed. A caring place where one is greeted by name, a smile and offered help if needed - nothing seems to be too much trouble. It is loverly to take her to the coffee lounge for a drink and delicious cake despite her becoming a little muddled and in clothes she has been helped choose. A good choice of well cooked meals served in the dining room with friends made within the home. Leah Lodge has certainly looked after my needs. I am sure they will continue to respond to her changing needs. Well done to all.

My uncle has been at Leah Lodge for several years and I thoroughly recommend it as he has been very happy throughout. The staff treat him so well, they respect his wishes at all times, and they are unfailingly kind to him and to us when we visit. There is always a good atmosphere and my uncle feels completely at home, part of the family there. I am kept up to date with all the events organised, trips out, etc, and regularly updated if he has seen the doctor for any reason. He was very ill last year and the staff were so quick to act and get treatment he came through as physically well as ever. My short period of respite care proved to be very helpful and supportive. The staff made every effort to provide the special diet and I needed for all my meals at that time. Visitors were made very welcome, and it was good to be ale to have tea and cake with them in the little cafe.

I was very apprehensive about Care Homes, but Leah Lodge were fantastic. Dad had dementia and the way the staff encouraged and included him in activities and outings brought him out of himself.
