We have been so grateful to the staff of Lakeview for all the care and attention given to our mother over the last year since she moved in. They have maintained a careful focus on her well being and have discussed care plans with us. Their patience and attention to our mother's needs have been so reassuring.
The home itself is a lovely environment which provides dignity for resident and a warm welcome for relatives. Thank you Lakeview.

My mother stayed at Lakeview Grange for respite whilst we were on holiday. She was very happy and well cared for. The staff were lovely and very kind. Also, the Manager Jackie Cridlin, has kept in touch with us and given us lots of help and advice in our ongoing dementia journey with Mum. This advice
has been invaluable and has helped us immensely. Thank you.

Facilities are top notch, but the most important thing to me is the staff, and they are absolutely amazing - caring, compassionate and take excellent care of my Dad. Knowing they are looking after him so well, makes it easier for me when I leave after a visit.

Mum recently moved into Lakeview Grange and I cannot be more reassured of her care at this time. The staff are amazing, without exception. She seems to have settled quickly, much to my surprise! She had a hair cut this week and she looks better than she has in years! Everyone is kind and generous
with their time and skills. I feel confident that she is receiving the very best care and attention. Thank you to everyone.

My mum joined the community at LakeView Grange two weeks ago - we couldn't imagine her settling in - she had been very unhappy at home for the last few months and we had tried everything to support her.
Within a couple of days, she was smiling again, she has a wide circle of friends and she views her
room as her "house".
All the staff have been amazing - they are very skilled at navigating the challenges that dementia brings and there is a real sense of warmth and kindness at Lakeview. My mum is happier than she has been for a very long time - and we feel very welcome. The range of activities is amazing and her room is large, airy, modern and comfortable. We feel very luck to have discovered Lakeview and would thoroughly recommend.
Reply from Jackie Cridlin, -Home Admission Advisor at Lakeview GrangeThank you for your kind review. It is a 'whole team' approach that makes Lakeview Grange the care home that it is today. It is a pleasure to care for your dear mum and a joy when we see that smile on her face. Look forward to seeing you soon.

My mum has been in Lakeview Grange for two weeks. The change in her is almost miraculous. She arrived traumatised, almost psychotic, having had a very difficult experience with a live in carer for a month - her dementia had been misunderstood and she clearly felt unsafe. Since being at Lakeview she
now smiles, she is calm, and has settled in so well to the routine. I can see she feels safe and she once again has a bloom in her cheeks I haven't seen for years.
The staff are all absolutely wonderful - the home feels like a big (albeit unusual!) warm, friendly and loving family.
The home is spotless and welcoming.
The activities are stimulating and super-well organised.
I can visit anytime and always feel welcome and listened to.
My mums room is lovely and she definitely is making this marvellous place her home.
Thank you to this brilliant gem - a safe haven for a group of wonderful older people.

From the moment Dad arrived at Lakeview, he and I have been made so welcome.
From the Receptionists, the first friendly person you see on arrival, to ALL staff, they made us feel special.
Admissions manager has been absolutely great, right from day one. Always helpful with practical solutions for everything.
Beautiful
Home, lovely, comfortable and modern rooms.
Lots of activities for the residents. Outings, craft sessions, musical moments, and much more.
Fantastic menus too.
All in all, a lovely friendly Care Home.

My friend recently stayed at Lakeview for a two-week respite and we were both so impressed with every aspect of the home. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, and the beautiful surroundings created such a peaceful atmosphere. My friend especially enjoyed the varied activities - with
the art class being a particular highlight - and spent many happy hours in the stunning gardens. Everything about her stay exceeded our expectations, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Lakeview to anyone looking for exceptional care in a truly lovely setting.

I recently travelled to Chichester to visit my nan who has moved to Lakeview Grange after a nasty fall at home. To be honest, I had pre-conceived thought to what I was going to expect, but when I arrived I was completely blown away by the kind welcome from the receptionist. The facilities are classy,
clean and comfortable. Lots of activities planned for the week ahead. The food is 1st class and most important is that my nan seemed very happy. The care team, very attentive. I couldn't wish for more. Thank you Lakeview Grange.

I feel well qualified to write this review as a retired health care professional that worked in a local G P practice for over thirty two years r Role took me out to all the local Nursing and Care homes within the locality to enable me To carry out flu vaccination programs and dementia reviews, this
was then another nursing home
I lakeside View Offers superb standard of nursing care, It is very friendly but professional and has the feeling of being in a hotel for both residents and visitors
,, nothing is too much trouble attending to the patients or indeed their visitors, their approach is welcoming and the facilities on offer certainly gives more of a hotel feel than a nursing home.
The environment is safe and secure and very welcoming.
I can strongly recommend this Home for quality care, not just for medical care but for the holistic management required for loved ones. Every aspect is catered for from physio to entertainment and quality catering,

My friend came to Lakeview Grange for 2 weeks convalescent care following spinal surgery. Given that the notice was short the admissions process was first rate and the staff acted promptly and considerately to ensure that everything was completed in time. The Admissions Manager even started the admissions
process while on holiday! My friend absolutely loved Lakeview Grange. The facilities are first rate and varied, with numerous leisure and entertainment options for residents - including the ability to host guests for lunch parties as my friend did! The room and en suite bathroom were spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. But most importantly all the staff were so professional and so friendly - my friend felt completely confident in the excellent care he received throughout his stay and completely at home, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We would have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Lakeview Grange - thank you.

We needed to arrange Respite care quickly for our mother. The lady who took the first phone call was extremely professional ! We had a call in the evening from the Admissions Officer who reassured us they would move quickly to help us. They did ! The next day the assessment Manager visited our Mum in
her own home and assessed her needs prior to going to the home. Such a good service and it made everyone feel so much more relaxed. His care and compassion were excellent.
Once at the home we were greeted by the extremely professional, caring and friendly Admissions Officer. We were shown around the home which is an absolute delight. The bedroom was so homely with all the facilities to support an elderly resident. The home surroundings are stunning. Beautiful grounds, A full program of daily activities and most importantly of all, every member of staff were so friendly and helpful. They are always prepared to go that extra mile. I would definitely recommend Lake View. Thank you all

My Dad stayed at Lakeview Grange recently for a two-week respite break and I was very impressed with the facilities, ambiance and warm welcome. The team members I met were very friendly, professional, kind and patient. They were all approachable, with a positive, "can do" attitude.
The bedrooms are
a very good size with excellent facilities like ensuite wet room, profile bed, ample storage, comfortable chairs and TV. The building and grounds were very clean and modern. The communal facilities and décor make it feel more like a hotel than a care home. The outside space was a delight, providing an opportunity to be close to nature.
I have visited a number of care homes and, in my opinion, Lakeview Grange offers one of the most accessible, friendly and appropriate environments for people living with dementia. It is not easy to transition to a care home, but the staff at Lakeview Grange do all they can to help the entire family through that process and make it feel like a home-from-home.

A really excellent and clean Residential Home with a caring, thoughtful and supportive team, led by the manager. As you'll no doubt be aware if your reading this, it's an extremely emotional & upsetting experience when your loved ones reach a stage in their lives where they need a new nurturing and
activity rich environment to make it worthwhile for them to get up in the morning.
This excellent new(ish) home not only provides their residents with a larger than usual bedroom and en-suite facility, it has beautifully decorated lounges, dining areas, a cinema, gardens, a Family room and even a hairdressing salon.
If you are looking for somewhere special that would make you feel proud to be part of and without paying over the market rate, I would highly recommend you make an appointment to meet their team and see the facilities yourself. It's the least our loved ones deserve.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.923)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.923) out of 10 for Lakeview Grange is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 57 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 57 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.923 for Lakeview Grange is calculated as follows: ( (625 Excellents x 5) + (43 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 672 Ratings = 4.923
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lakeview Grange is based on 57 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 55 registered maximum number of service users is 11, which has been reached with 57 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Admissions Advisor

In my role, I work with families and friends who are looking for a care home for their loved one. From the moment they make their enquiry for care to when they move their loved one into Lakeview Grange, I ensure their journey goes as smoothly as possible by supporting them every step of the way for a smooth transition.

I started my career in care as a retirement housing manager in Central London, and for the last 20 years, I have supported Home Admission Advisors with training in care homes across the country. In the last 3 years, I have stepped down from a regional role and decided to focus on just one care Home, hence my role at Lakeview Grange. I treat every family with dignity and respect and will go above and beyond to ensure family members receive the support they need in helping them to make the right decisions for, what can be a very emotional experience.

Born in South London and now living in Chichester with my partner. Between us, we have four children who have all flown the nest.

My family mean the world to me, and I try to meet with them as much as possible. Being happy with a positive attitude is my attitude to life.

My role involves creating a varied and exciting Activity Plan reflecting residents’ individual hobbies and shared interests, with daily physical activities (including ‘Zing’ our in-house exercises) and chances for new opportunities.

Maintaining old, and building new, relationships are vital, and we welcome visitors, volunteers and local groups.

Equally key for wellbeing is getting out whether in and around Chichester or using our accessible garden.

Activities also encompass cultural and religious beliefs, as well as National Holidays and events. As a whole Home, we will celebrate with fun ‘Theme Days’ involving food, music, art & craft and Fancy Dress and competitions.

For the last 7 years, I’ve been a Care Home Activities Co-Ordinator, where I completed my ‘Active Engagement’ Apprenticeship. Before, I cared for my dad (who was blind and terminally ill) and then my Mum (who had physical disabilities and Dementia). Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked in many Social Care sectors as a Carer, Manager and qualified as a Master of Social Work.

With my Degree in English & Drama, I write and perform in a Theatre Group, I’m in various Choirs and volunteer at my Community Cinema. I love ‘Nostalgia’ and Classic Cars - sharing a ‘Moggy Minor’ with my partner. We also share our cat and dog, and a love of history, travel, pub quizzes and being by the sea.

Job Title: Business Administrator Joined: 2025

I am responsible for the business operations at Lakeview Grange. I look after a wide range of areas, including recruitment, HR administration, payroll, and general office management. I also oversee and support our lovely reception team, who ensure that every visitor and resident has a warm welcome.

I have a unique combination of experience that has led me to be an administrator in a care home. As a teen, my parents ran a small 3-bed care home in our family home, and so care and respect for the older generation is something that is part of my upbringing. As an adult, I went on to be a GP Secretary and later an Administrator of Finance and HR in a secondary school, a combination of skills that has set me up well to be a business administrator for Cinnamon, and I am excited to be part of the team here at Lakeview Grange.

I am a mum to two grown up (ish) children, my son is 23 and my daughter is 20, I am very proud of them both. I love to read and am always in the middle of a book or an audiobook, I love music and going to concerts and going to the theatre, I love to go out with friends and family or to stay in with friends and family and natter late into the night, I love a spontaneous adventure, a road trip, and to travel. I also love a cosy night on the sofa with my slippers
