My husband has dementia and is looked after very well, he always looks very clean and tidy. He joins in with all the activities there is always something going on. The staff and management are great, they understand dementia. It is a very clean in every room.
Food is to a very high standard.
When
you first walk in you are made very welcome. Lovely coffee bar and lounge.
If you have to go into a home you could not get a better one.

Could not speak more highly of Lakeview Grange. All the staff are incredible helpful and there isn't anything that is too much to ask for from them. The care senior Caitlyn is an absolute pleasure to deal with and is remarkable with all residents, supporting their needs and making them feel at home.
Lakeview Grange provide a luxurious home from home, the entertainment and food are incredible and the facilities are state of the art.
Most importantly, the staff treat all residents like family, the level of care they provide is above and beyond.

I visited my friend's mother on 10th February 26. In the morning I was so very impressed by the warmest of welcomes, I received by all the staff. The atmosphere at 'Lakeview' in Chichester was amazing! I waited in the lounge for a while and was so impressed by the kindness I witnessed towards all the
residents! Especially one of the staff who was dancing and singing with a group of residents as they enjoyed a valentines 'singalong'. Lakeview is most certainly a luxury retirement home!
I remain beyond very impressed. My friend's mother is being looked after so so well. Thank you.

My father and stepmother's Medical Practice attend this beautiful Care Home, so it was the obvious choice for both of them after my father sustained an accident at home.
The ambience of Lakeview Grange is like that of a top quality hotel, the interior decor is of a very high standard and all the public
areas, reception rooms, dining room and bedrooms are superb. You would never think you are in a Care Home, which is exactly what I wanted for my parents.
Sadly, my father recently passed, but I couldn't have chosen a better place for his passing, and now to care for my 99-year-old stepmother going forward. She is very happy at Lakeview, they always have a lot of activities taking place to keep the residents interested and occupied. The morning I bought them to Lakeview, there was a magician and in the afternoon, a musician playing the baby grand piano.
My stepmother is constantly telling me how wonderful all the staff members are, and how delicious the food is!
Reply from Jackie Cridlin, -Home Admission Advisor at Lakeview GrangeThank you so much for your wonderful review. It is a pleasure caring for your wonderful stepmother and we look forward to seeing you soon.

My mum has been at Larkview since day 1 (opening day) and she has dementia and has to move up to the dementia floor. The home have been so supportive and caring during her transition to a different room. A truly wonderful experience all round - always treated with respect and dignity.

My father-in-law recently moved into Lakeview Grange, due to his dementia going downhill in the last few months.
It's a very difficult decision that the family had to make and I don't think you ever want to see a loved one go into a care home, but the staff have been amazing at Lakeview, especially
Jackie & Josh.
They have handled the situation with empathy, care and above all else kindness to both my father-in-law & us as a family.
The facilities are amazing and it's a lovely environment for us to visit.
We couldn't recommend Lakeview enough, just listen to their advice.
Thank you from us all

My father moved to Lakeview Grange after a week in hospital. He has always been adamant that he would never move to a care home, but needs must.
He is very happy there, the home looks more like a five star hotel, the staff are very warm and have a lovely sense of humour. They even went to the trouble
of introducing him to like minded residents-on my first visit to the home I found my father having lunch with three other residents. The food looked delicious and homemade.
Our experience of Lakeview Grange could not have been better. I am very grateful to them.

We have been so grateful to the staff of Lakeview for all the care and attention given to our mother over the last year since she moved in. They have maintained a careful focus on her well being and have discussed care plans with us. Their patience and attention to our mother's needs have been so reassuring.
The home itself is a lovely environment which provides dignity for resident and a warm welcome for relatives. Thank you Lakeview.

My mum joined the community at LakeView Grange two weeks ago - we couldn't imagine her settling in - she had been very unhappy at home for the last few months and we had tried everything to support her.
Within a couple of days, she was smiling again, she has a wide circle of friends and she views her
room as her "house".
All the staff have been amazing - they are very skilled at navigating the challenges that dementia brings and there is a real sense of warmth and kindness at Lakeview. My mum is happier than she has been for a very long time - and we feel very welcome. The range of activities is amazing and her room is large, airy, modern and comfortable. We feel very luck to have discovered Lakeview and would thoroughly recommend.

My mum has been in Lakeview Grange for two weeks. The change in her is almost miraculous. She arrived traumatised, almost psychotic, having had a very difficult experience with a live in carer for a month - her dementia had been misunderstood and she clearly felt unsafe. Since being at Lakeview she
now smiles, she is calm, and has settled in so well to the routine. I can see she feels safe and she once again has a bloom in her cheeks I haven't seen for years.
The staff are all absolutely wonderful - the home feels like a big (albeit unusual!) warm, friendly and loving family.
The home is spotless and welcoming.
The activities are stimulating and super-well organised.
I can visit anytime and always feel welcome and listened to.
My mums room is lovely and she definitely is making this marvellous place her home.
Thank you to this brilliant gem - a safe haven for a group of wonderful older people.

My friend recently stayed at Lakeview for a two-week respite and we were both so impressed with every aspect of the home. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, and the beautiful surroundings created such a peaceful atmosphere. My friend especially enjoyed the varied activities - with
the art class being a particular highlight - and spent many happy hours in the stunning gardens. Everything about her stay exceeded our expectations, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Lakeview to anyone looking for exceptional care in a truly lovely setting.

I recently travelled to Chichester to visit my nan who has moved to Lakeview Grange after a nasty fall at home. To be honest, I had pre-conceived thought to what I was going to expect, but when I arrived I was completely blown away by the kind welcome from the receptionist. The facilities are classy,
clean and comfortable. Lots of activities planned for the week ahead. The food is 1st class and most important is that my nan seemed very happy. The care team, very attentive. I couldn't wish for more. Thank you Lakeview Grange.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.929)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.929) out of 10 for Lakeview Grange is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 61 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 61 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.929 for Lakeview Grange is calculated as follows: ( (671 Excellents x 5) + (45 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 719 Ratings = 4.929
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lakeview Grange is based on 61 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 55 registered maximum number of service users is 11, which has been reached with 61 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

In my role, I work with families and friends who are looking for a care home for their loved one. From the moment they make their enquiry for care to when they move their loved one into Lakeview Grange, I ensure their journey goes as smoothly as possible by supporting them every step of the way for a smooth transition.

I started my career in care as a retirement housing manager in Central London, and for the last 20 years, I have supported Home Admission Advisors with training in care homes across the country. In the last 3 years, I have stepped down from a regional role and decided to focus on just one care Home, hence my role at Lakeview Grange. I treat every family with dignity and respect and will go above and beyond to ensure family members receive the support they need in helping them to make the right decisions for, what can be a very emotional experience.

Born in South London and now living in Chichester with my partner. Between us, we have four children who have all flown the nest.

My family mean the world to me, and I try to meet with them as much as possible. Being happy with a positive attitude is my attitude to life.

Job Title: Activities Co-ordinator Joined: 2023

My role involves creating a varied and exciting Activity Plan reflecting residents’ individual hobbies and shared interests, with daily physical activities (including ‘Zing’ our in-house exercises) and chances for new opportunities.

Maintaining old, and building new, relationships are vital, and we welcome visitors, volunteers and local groups.

Equally key for wellbeing is getting out whether in and around Chichester or using our accessible garden.

Activities also encompass cultural and religious beliefs, as well as National Holidays and events. As a whole Home, we will celebrate with fun ‘Theme Days’ involving food, music, art & craft and Fancy Dress and competitions.

For the last 7 years, I’ve been a Care Home Activities Co-Ordinator, where I completed my ‘Active Engagement’ Apprenticeship. Before, I cared for my dad (who was blind and terminally ill) and then my Mum (who had physical disabilities and Dementia). Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked in many Social Care sectors as a Carer, Manager and qualified as a Master of Social Work.

With my Degree in English & Drama, I write and perform in a Theatre Group, I’m in various Choirs and volunteer at my Community Cinema. I love ‘Nostalgia’ and Classic Cars - sharing a ‘Moggy Minor’ with my partner. We also share our cat and dog, and a love of history, travel, pub quizzes and being by the sea.

Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor Joined: 2025

I support the Housekeeping team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.

I have worked for over 25 years in the Care sector in the West Sussex area. Over the past 5 years
I moved to Scotland with my husband, where I was offered the opportunity to run the housekeeping department for a 5-star hotel. Client expectations were very high, and I enjoyed the challenge to maintain a well-presented hotel that had an extremely good reputation. I had the pleasure of meeting top celebrities like Robson Green and Rick Astley.

My family are my world. Married for 42 years and lucky to have 3 wonderful children and 4 amazing grandchildren.
When I do get some ‘downtime’, I like to read, shop until I drop, and book holidays abroad.
