Initially my mum had a short stay at Lakeview Grange, after a fall at home. She loved her stay so much that she decided to make Lakeview Grange her home for life. Everything about the home I can not fault and so pleased that I helped choose the right home for her.
"Excellent".

I feel well qualified to write this review as a retired health care professional that worked in a local G P practice for over thirty two years r Role took me out to all the local Nursing and Care homes within the locality to enable me To carry out flu vaccination programs and dementia reviews, this
was then another nursing home
I lakeside View Offers superb standard of nursing care, It is very friendly but professional and has the feeling of being in a hotel for both residents and visitors
,, nothing is too much trouble attending to the patients or indeed their visitors, their approach is welcoming and the facilities on offer certainly gives more of a hotel feel than a nursing home.
The environment is safe and secure and very welcoming.
I can strongly recommend this Home for quality care, not just for medical care but for the holistic management required for loved ones. Every aspect is catered for from physio to entertainment and quality catering,

My friend came to Lakeview Grange for 2 weeks convalescent care following spinal surgery. Given that the notice was short the admissions process was first rate and the staff acted promptly and considerately to ensure that everything was completed in time. The Admissions Manager even started the admissions
process while on holiday! My friend absolutely loved Lakeview Grange. The facilities are first rate and varied, with numerous leisure and entertainment options for residents - including the ability to host guests for lunch parties as my friend did! The room and en suite bathroom were spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. But most importantly all the staff were so professional and so friendly - my friend felt completely confident in the excellent care he received throughout his stay and completely at home, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We would have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Lakeview Grange - thank you.

We needed to arrange Respite care quickly for our mother. The lady who took the first phone call was extremely professional ! We had a call in the evening from the Admissions Officer who reassured us they would move quickly to help us. They did ! The next day the assessment Manager visited our Mum in
her own home and assessed her needs prior to going to the home. Such a good service and it made everyone feel so much more relaxed. His care and compassion were excellent.
Once at the home we were greeted by the extremely professional, caring and friendly Admissions Officer. We were shown around the home which is an absolute delight. The bedroom was so homely with all the facilities to support an elderly resident. The home surroundings are stunning. Beautiful grounds, A full program of daily activities and most importantly of all, every member of staff were so friendly and helpful. They are always prepared to go that extra mile. I would definitely recommend Lake View. Thank you all

My Dad stayed at Lakeview Grange recently for a two-week respite break and I was very impressed with the facilities, ambiance and warm welcome. The team members I met were very friendly, professional, kind and patient. They were all approachable, with a positive, "can do" attitude.
The bedrooms are
a very good size with excellent facilities like ensuite wet room, profile bed, ample storage, comfortable chairs and TV. The building and grounds were very clean and modern. The communal facilities and décor make it feel more like a hotel than a care home. The outside space was a delight, providing an opportunity to be close to nature.
I have visited a number of care homes and, in my opinion, Lakeview Grange offers one of the most accessible, friendly and appropriate environments for people living with dementia. It is not easy to transition to a care home, but the staff at Lakeview Grange do all they can to help the entire family through that process and make it feel like a home-from-home.

Everything about Lakeview Grange is 5*. From the moment we walked in we knew that our friend would be well looked after. The building, furnishings and rooms are second to none. The food is outstanding and the staff are all extremely attentive, friendly and kind. The stay was booked for two weeks but
he enjoyed it so much he stayed an extra week. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone that is looking for a care home whether it be for respite on long term care.

A really excellent and clean Residential Home with a caring, thoughtful and supportive team, led by the manager. As you'll no doubt be aware if your reading this, it's an extremely emotional & upsetting experience when your loved ones reach a stage in their lives where they need a new nurturing and
activity rich environment to make it worthwhile for them to get up in the morning.
This excellent new(ish) home not only provides their residents with a larger than usual bedroom and en-suite facility, it has beautifully decorated lounges, dining areas, a cinema, gardens, a Family room and even a hairdressing salon.
If you are looking for somewhere special that would make you feel proud to be part of and without paying over the market rate, I would highly recommend you make an appointment to meet their team and see the facilities yourself. It's the least our loved ones deserve.

Once again the Lakeview staff pulled out all the stops to facilitate a wonderful garden Party. The food was delicious, superbly cooked and with ample portions. The entertainment was delightful with a pianist playing during lunch and then a local Brass Band performing in the afternoon. The band played
all the old favourites and it was lovely to hear all the residents singing along. All the staff worked tirelessly, making sure that guests and residents had plenty of food and drinks in their hands. The effort and thought that goes into all the events at the home are amazing.

My sister has been very happy with her stay at Lakeview Grange and has nothing but praise for the care she has received there. The staff are all friendly, kind, attentive and patient, nothing seems to be too much trouble to make sure she is stimulated, amused and emotionally supported as she lives with
dementia. I have been very impressed seeing how she has benefitted from all the activities on offer, she could not be more content with her life at Lakeview.

Not a task to be relished in finding potential care homes for my father as his health declines but Lakeview Grange has been a shining light in that quest.
The Home Admissions Advisor took time to understand Dad's needs and show us around the home, then enabling a two week respite stay so everyone
can get acquainted with it.
I've met nothing but warm, kind, friendly staff, visitors and residents; everyone seems very content in that environment. I've spoken to numerous members of staff and they're all a credit to the Home. They all take time with Dad and it's a great comfort to know he's in good hands.
The Home is very modern, beautifully decorated, faultlessly clean, the food looks great, the coffee is fab and there are plenty of places for Dad to be with others or to sit quietly.
Moving from his own home will, of course, be a huge wrench when the time comes, but Lakeview Grange go above and beyond to ease that process.
Thank you for everything so far.

I cannot rate Lakeview highly enough. From the very first minute I telephoned, The Home Admissions Advisor has been absolutely wonderful from letting me take a tour at very short notice, to contacting the hospital and making arrangements. They have made my client feel extremely comfortable and relaxed
and encouraged her to join in, not just hiding away in her room. The General Manager made a special effort to escort her to lunch and she is settling in very well. Her room is extremely spacious and the facilities, cleanliness and feel are second to none. A lovely home to visit - it certainly does not feel or look like a care home. Outstanding.

My wife's third visit for respite care and my first to keep her company which turned out to be a wonderful replacement for my cancelled trip to Canada. What a wonderful place this is with all amenities and a remarkable bunch of staff attending to all your needs without hesitation and made my two weeks
stay a very relaxing and memorable one. I have visited several care homes in the area to care for my late sister-in-law and wife and certainly this is the best in the visinity - the facilities, decor, service , meals and lastly what a group of staff who without hesitation attend to all your needs. I have no hesitation to recommend this venue to those in need

We couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention Mum has received since she has been at Lakeview Grange. She wasn't sure about moving to a care home, even temporarily, but having had such a positive experience she made the decision to stay. It is a huge relief to us, her family, as we know she
is exceptionally well cared for. The staff are amazing in every aspect. They have encouraged her to join in a variety of activities, all of which she has enjoyed. She is doing really well and even looks younger!
The staff already know her well and are always on hand. She feels respected and listened to.
We and any visitors she has, are always made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
Lakeview Grange has a lovely atmosphere and is beautifully appointed. Mum's room is spacious and she has been encouraged to bring in her own pictures, special chair and ornaments.
We can't thank the team at Lakeview Grange enough for everything. They are all amazing.

My mother has been a permanent resident at Lakeview Grange since January 2025, following several respite care stays in 2024. The quality of the accommodation is exceptional - hence the awards - and she is treated with warmth, love and affection by every member of the team. But it's after this weekend's
Mother's Day tea that I felt compelled to leave this review - a wonderful event, bringing together residents and their families over a high tea that allowed us all to chat, reminisce and meet each other. Fantastic. And the following day, to celebrate a birthday, I brought a bottle of fizz and sat with my mum and her friends for drinks in the lounge looking over the garden, in a place that feels like a proper home. As they said to me, this is how care should be - an opportunity to live your later years in comfort with new friends and new things to look forward to. Well done, Lakeview!

Mum went into Lakeview for a four week respite period and she was very anxious about her stay. However, the whole team at Lakeview have been absolutely outstanding - we cannot thank them enough. They have given Mum the best of care, nurtured her to join in activities, listened to her concerns and made
her feel welcome right from the original meeting. She literally became one of the family and everyone made an effort to get to know her. Mum, unfortunately had a flare up with her skin condition but again the team were amazing, going above and beyond to get it under control. The team at Lakeview have also made me feel welcome and I really have felt like I have been visiting Mum at place where everyone is valued and important. As Mums care needs have begun to increase we know we are looking at moving her into a care home environment very soon and we will not be looking anywhere else! The staff and facilities are truly fantastic. Thank you.

My Nana moved into Lakeview Grange recently and I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness, support and encouragement they have given her as well as the family since moving in. I knew it was the right place the first time we visited. The friendliness and care given to everyone I could see that
residents were happy, valued and safe.
Nana's care has been exemplary, as individual as she is. Nothing is too much trouble. There are many lovely activities in and outside the home she has started to enjoy and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lakeview Grange when looking for a care home

Our mother had been in hospital for about a month due to a COPD flare up and needed somewhere to stay to get some strength back.
This was our first experience with a care home so we did not really know what to expect but after being in hospital for a month we wanted our mother to spend the next four
weeks somewhere that was comfortable and a bit more like home. The team at Lakeview were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, they were all very patient and kind and did everything they could to make sure my mother benefitted the most from her stay.
I would mention the staff by name but I am too worried I would miss someone out but they were all brilliant. We really did feel like we were all part of the family and although my mother was only there for a few weeks she bonded well with the staff. She was pleased to be home, but I am sure she misses seeing them.
I would highly recommend Lakeview, fantastic care and a beautiful venue & facilities.

I didn't know care homes as wonderful as Lakeview Grange existed. From the building to the rooms to the food and activities but most of all the amazing staff it is absolutely top class. Not a negative to be found. I would recommend to anyone looking for a safe and caring and welcoming home for their
loved one. I wouldn't move my dad anywhere else in a million years. It's heads and shoulders above anywhere else. I've worked in care for 30 years so I speak from a personal and professional stance.

After making the difficult decision to put Dad into 24-hour care we took time to visit care homes to try and find a suitable placement where he would be safe, happy and well-supported in his already advanced dementia journey.
Many of the care homes I visited were well0run and could meet his needs
but on reflection I just couldn't see myself leaving him there. Then we went to Lakeview Grange and I immediately felt the difference. The staff and environment were warm and genuine. The interactions between the carers and the residents were noticeably caring and friendly and the residents were calm and relaxed. Although my dad is not a naturally social person and being in a care home is a huge adjustment for him, the staff are taking a gentle approach of getting to know him and are very keen to involve the family to make the process easier and more manageable. It's early days for Dad at Lakeview but I have every confidence he is safe and working towards being happy there too! Thanks to all!

(1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 55 registered maximum number of service users is 11, which has been reached with 61 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: General Manager Joined: 2020

I have worked in the care industry for 20 years and have held a range of positions from Carer to Registered Manager. I have always worked in elderly care, including Dementia and Palliative care. I have held the position of Home Manager for the last eight years.

I love the satisfaction of making a positive difference, however great or small, in the life of someone less able than I, whatever stage of life they have reached. Outside of work, I have a fiancé and three children that keep me busy. I also enjoy cooking, gardening and reading.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2025

I ensure Lakeview Grange remains compliant with rules and regulations whilst ensuring that the residents’ experience remains a positive and happy one, ensuring that residents have access to daily activities and are able to pursue their day freely and with choice.

I have worked in care for 5 and a half years. I spent a year and a half as a Bank Care Assistant and then a Care Assistant before moving up to becoming a Senior Care Assistant for a year. Following this I was a Head Of Care for 3 years before I then made my move to Lakeview Grange to become one of two Deputy Managers.
I am an individual who stumbled into care following graduating from the University of West of England with a degree in Business Management with Economics, and have now worked in care since. I am passionate about ensuring that everyone receives the best possible care they can have, whilst also remaining happy and safe. In my spare time, I enjoy watching multiple sports as well as socialising with my friends and family.

Job Title: Home Admissions Advisor

In my role, I work with families and friends who are looking for a care home for their loved one. From the moment they make their enquiry for care to when they move their loved one into Lakeview Grange, I ensure their journey goes as smoothly as possible by supporting them every step of the way for a smooth transition.

I started my career in care as a retirement housing manager in Central London, and for the last 20 years, I have supported Home Admission Advisors with training in care homes across the country. In the last 3 years, I have stepped down from a regional role and decided to focus on just one care Home, hence my role at Lakeview Grange. I treat every family with dignity and respect and will go above and beyond to ensure family members receive the support they need in helping them to make the right decisions for, what can be a very emotional experience.

Born in South London and now living in Chichester with my partner. Between us, we have four children who have all flown the nest.

My family mean the world to me, and I try to meet with them as much as possible. Being happy with a positive attitude is my attitude to life.

Job Title: Activities Co-ordinator Joined: 2023

My role involves creating a varied and exciting Activity Plan reflecting residents’ individual hobbies and shared interests, with daily physical activities (including ‘Zing’ our in-house exercises) and chances for new opportunities.

Maintaining old, and building new, relationships are vital, and we welcome visitors, volunteers and local groups.

Equally key for wellbeing is getting out whether in and around Chichester or using our accessible garden.

Activities also encompass cultural and religious beliefs, as well as National Holidays and events. As a whole Home, we will celebrate with fun ‘Theme Days’ involving food, music, art & craft and Fancy Dress and competitions.

For the last 7 years, I’ve been a Care Home Activities Co-Ordinator, where I completed my ‘Active Engagement’ Apprenticeship. Before, I cared for my dad (who was blind and terminally ill) and then my Mum (who had physical disabilities and Dementia). Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked in many Social Care sectors as a Carer, Manager and qualified as a Master of Social Work.

With my Degree in English & Drama, I write and perform in a Theatre Group, I’m in various Choirs and volunteer at my Community Cinema. I love ‘Nostalgia’ and Classic Cars - sharing a ‘Moggy Minor’ with my partner. We also share our cat and dog, and a love of history, travel, pub quizzes and being by the sea.

Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor Joined: 2025

I support the Housekeeping team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.

I have worked for over 25 years in the Care sector in the West Sussex area. Over the past 5 years
I moved to Scotland with my husband, where I was offered the opportunity to run the housekeeping department for a 5-star hotel. Client expectations were very high, and I enjoyed the challenge to maintain a well-presented hotel that had an extremely good reputation. I had the pleasure of meeting top celebrities like Robson Green and Rick Astley.

My family are my world. Married for 42 years and lucky to have 3 wonderful children and 4 amazing grandchildren.
When I do get some ‘downtime’, I like to read, shop until I drop, and book holidays abroad.
