This exclusive home provides residential, dementia and respite care within a wonderful environment with facilities and services designed around residents' desires. The accommodation includes 53 fully furnished en-suite rooms plus 4 one-bedroom care suites. The care suites include an en-suite bedroom, lounge and kitchenette and are ideal for couples or individuals who are looking for greater independence and space.

All Cinnamon care teams undergo regular training and spend time understanding residents' needs and wishes. Team members have the latest Person Centred Software which is updated via handsets meaning accessing and recording care records are instant.

The specially designed dementia community has been thoughtfully created with sensory and reminiscence areas to enhance residents' lives. The events and activities team spend time learning about a person's life and tailor events to suit their needs.

The home is split into a number of smaller communities each with their own lounges and dining rooms. The chefs provide a sumptuous menu creating attractively presented and delicious dishes using the best fresh produce.

Our loved one arrived at The Gables feeling very disorientated, anxious and distressed after a traumatic 4 months involving 4 weeks in hospital and 12 weekly in step - down, to say nothing of the trauma of a broken ankle, pneumonia (twice), several infections and ensuing anxiety and confusion - within
two or three weeks The Gables care staff had nurtured and cared for her so kindly that she has blossomed.

My parents have been resident at The Gables for over two years. The staff are excellent and go above and beyond to accommodate my parents differing needs. The rooms are lovely - more like hotel accommodation - together with an interesting and varied menu. Plenty of activities are available to join
if required. Not only do the staff give support to my parents but also to us as a family with a great deal of patience and humour! I would highly recommend.

This place is special. From the wonderful caring staff, to the beautiful food served to residents. My dad has recently completed a months respite and he has left today having had THE best time. The activity schedule had him singing, dancing, keeping fit, testing his brain power with quizzes etc, the
list is endless. We initially attended a recent open day and was immediately impressed and knew dad had to spend time here. He settled in so quickly and every member of staff helped with this. It was an absolute joy to visit dad here and we as a family can't thank Team Gables enough. We can't wait for dad to become a permanent resident in the near future.

My mother was admitted to the Gables on 1sr of November. All the staff were very welcoming to her on our arrival, which reassured her. It was initially for respite but now it is long term. The home is very elegant and there is lot of activities going on everyday, unfortunately my mum is not able to
participate in it because of her Dementia. My mum is a fussy eater, despite this the head Chef is cooking her the food she likes. Despite the language barrier staff and management are going the extra mile to give her excellent care.

The Gables is a care home like no other. Our mum has been there since January after she fell. It is a huge decision to move into a care home, but the warmth, love and care shown to the residents is unparalleled.


The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The community spaces are welcoming.

But what makes the Gables outstanding is its staff.


Everyone you meet takes the time to look after the whole Gables family. There are daily activities, great food, a happy hour and trips out. And amazing care shown when residents need a bit of extra help or taking to hospital. Overall, there is a great sense of fun and joy in life.

I can't believe my stepmother-in-law has only been at The Gables for one week. On arrival, she was furious with us for "dumping her there". Just one week later she has friends, is participating in activities, and is really content.
The staff are all lovely, and caring towards our family as well as
their residents. The beautiful environment makes it a pleasure to visit too.

My husband who has both cognitive and physical issues has stayed at The Gables and its sister home Parkfield Grange several times over the last three years.
I believe that it is exceptional in terms of environment and services.
The onsite management team are kind, and care. They set and deliver
the values.
The meals are nutritious; the care staff who have been there since it opened are caring, proactive and responsive. Some of their newer recruits need to grow into their role; some empathy training maybe.
I have visited other nearby care homes and none come anywhere close!

We had looked at several care homes in the area for my mother. Have to say as this was our first time of having to do this we found it quite depressing until we visited The Gables. From the moment we walked in you felt this was something different, something special, we were not disappointed. Friendly,
professional staff no signs of panic, a nice welcoming calm environment which is exactly what we wanted for Mom. First class care and facilities, it's a shame that not all persons needing care have the funds to be able to stay in a superb place like this. We would like to thank all the staff we have met for making my mother's transition stress-free and very welcoming. Keep up the good work.

The Gables go above and beyond. The care my mom receives is fabulous. She is bedridden but never feels lonely as the staff constantly check on her. They made her birthday so special with balloons, streamers and a beautiful cake in her room. As relatives, the visits are lovely, we are made very welcome.
Everyone is friendly and the place is spotless.

I arrived at The Gables on Friday 31st May 2024, for a week after signing myself in for post-op care following a hysterectomy on 29th May taking the burden away from my family.
What can I say? The care, not that I required much care, was second to none. I actually needed rest, of which I got plenty
but there were activities should I want to participate. All the staff were helpful, discreet and caring. After staying for a week I felt so comfortable I decided to stay an extra four nights.

The Gables is fantastic. Like a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, my aunt is very poorly and so hasn't really been able to take advantage of many of the things it has to offer. She is probably more reliant on the staff than most other residents but they are looking after her well. Recently her condition
has improved a bit and they have been getting her out of bed into a chair, which is a huge improvement compared to how she was when she first went in. When I visit, all the staff are friendly and helpful and my aunt seems to get on with everyone.

My aunt has been a resident here for a few months, and she has improved greatly, physically and mentally better. All the care staff are very caring, nothing is too much trouble for them to help her and other residents. She started eating and drinking with help and she is now sitting out and appears

I came to The Gables following discharge from hospital where I had been treated for two broken arms and a mass of bruising following a fall down my stairs at home. My daughters chose the home as they felt I needed help with personal care and some pampering.
From the moment the ambulance dropped me
off, I felt a very warm welcome. I was shown to my room, very spacious and beautifully furnished with a large ensuite wet room.
The carers are so kind and helpful and have given me excellent care throughout, I’ve been here almost three weeks.
This is a lovely home, well appointed with many facilities, including a weekly list of activities if you wish to join in. Everyone is very friendly and I feel very at home here whilst I wait for full recovery. If you prefer to rest in your room that’s fine although there is on my floor a cinema, a dining room and a lounge.
Having visited people in other care homes whilst being the Parish Visitor for the church this is by far the best I’ve seen.

Dad was admitted to The Gables, Hagley, for a four-week respite stay. However, this turned into one week palliative care following his discharge from hospital. Staff at The Gables complained to the hospital about the deplorable condition he was in on his arrival by ambulance. Within only a few hours
of arriving at The Hables, Dad had been seen by the district nurse (twice), paramedics and an ANP. He had been registered at the local doctor's and a respect form completed. All quietly and efficiently managed by the staff. During the week that Dad was at The Gables his treatment was second to none and it was not only Dad who received excellent care; the family was kept informed and supported throughout. Dad was cared for with compassion and love and given the dignity he deserved. We cannot thank the staff at The Gables enough for that. Care at its absolute best.

Mum moved to The Gables in November 2023 and to date, we have been completely satisfied with the quality of care and service provided. The staff seem to be very happy in their work and this spreads to residents and their guests. It feels like a happy place and Mum, we, family and friends have been made
to feel very welcome. Mum’s medical issues are being effectively dealt with. The local GP practice that covers The Gables is a huge improvement on her previous GP. The activities are well-run and varied and the food is always excellent. The coffee bar and other communal areas often have a mixed group of residents, visitors and staff, so there’s usually someone to chat with if you wish. For Mum, the visiting dogs are a delight.

Even though my father was only a resident for a very short period of time, everyone at The Gables went out of their way to make him welcome and help him settle in and find his way around. Our lasting memory of him will be a very happy afternoon spent at The Gables celebrating his 94th Birthday. All
members of our family, including 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren were able to be there, he was in his element having us all together and gave a really touching speech, which caught us unawares as he was a man of few words, preferring to be on the edge of things rather than the centre of attention!

What I do:
I am proud to join The Gables team as Associate General Manager of this stunning care home in Hagley.


My experience:
I started my journey off in the care sector back in 1998 I started off as a health care assistant working in various care homes and was a personal assistant for a while until I fell pregnant with my oldest child. I completed my NVQ 2 and 3 in health care and continued to progress in various roles again within the care homes I became a senior carer in 2003 and then moved to community care once I had passed my driving test. I became a team leader in the community and then a medication technician in 2008. I then made the brave decision to do my nursing training back in 2009 and qualified as a general adult nurse in 2012. I always felt my goal in life was to provide the best possible care to anyone who I looked after. The feeling that I can help somebody made it my passion.


About me:
I am enthusiastic, ambitious, loyal, and hard working. I am a family woman with 5 (yes 5) children, 1 granddaughter and a husband who I married in 2011 whilst doing my nurse training, I love animals and have a British/American bulldog called Marley and 2 cats Loki and Luna (who are my fur babies). I enjoy watching I’m a Celebrity and Britain’s Got Talent. I am also a dab hand at cross stitch but can’t sew (lol). I really enjoy going out on family days out but also love it when I can go out with our adult family and friends and let our hair down.

WHAT I DO: I am the Home Admissions Advisor at The Gables Care Home and joined the team in July 2023. My role within the home is to guide families on their journey into residential care, to work with the community and to showcase our beautiful home.


MY EXPERIENCE: I have recently moved into this role having been an estate agent for nearly twenty years. My time spent helping people to move home has given me a good understanding of how important finding the right place to call home is. My move into the residential care sector comes from personal experience with moving a close family member into care, which gives me a level of empathy and understanding.


ABOUT ME: Outside of work, I am a husband and dad to five wonderful children and a cocker spaniel called Max. In what very little free time I have left, I enjoy paddle boarding and going to the gym.

My role at The Gables as Head Housekeeper is to ensure my brilliant team of housekeepers and I maintain immaculate high standards throughout the home. We make sure all the communal areas and, of course, residents' rooms and suites are kept beautiful as well as looking after their laundry. I feel very privileged to be able to work with such a fantastic team and in such a luxurious home and enjoy interacting with our residents every day.


My experience:
I have worked in care for 4 years, and for over 2 years as a Head Housekeeper. I am really looking forward to meeting our families and residents and making sure I maintain high standards throughout the home. Previously I worked for Mothercare, where I gained a lot of experience in running the store, store presentation, housekeeping and dealing with the public.


About me:
In my spare time, I like to see my 2 grown-up daughters Chloe and Isabell and my two grandchildren. I also enjoy gardening & cooking, especially brownies. I also love to socialise with my friends as often as I can. I’m a very bubbly person and love speaking to the residents and hearing their stories about their lives. I will strive to go above and beyond for their needs.

What I Do: I am the home maintenance manager; I joined the team in March 2023. My role is to make sure all compliance is up to date and the home is safe for all residents, staff, and family members, I am also responsible for security on site and decoration of the home.


My experience: I have been in the maintenance sector for over 25 years, I’m qualified as an electrician, Carpenter, painter, and decorator. I have worked in the care sector for 5 years now, before working in care I spent 12 years working for Carillion, where I spent a lot of time travelling the country looking after banks and hospitals. I also spent 4 years in the armed forces.


About Me: Outside of work, I am a husband of 23 years and have 2 grown-up children who are the apple of my eye, all my spare time is spent with family and our dog Ben. I also enjoy football and rugby and long walks with my wife and dog over the countryside.

Hi, my name is Sam. I recently transferred from Manchester to the West Midlands, where I now reside with my partner. I am delighted to join the Gables as the Business Administrator. My role is to support the General Manager by overseeing administrative, financial, and commercial functions at home level.

I have extensive Administration experience throughout my career and joined the private health care sector over 9 years ago. I have had the pleasure of working within Nursing & Residential Homes both in Manchester and now in the West Midlands. I have worked for different Providers, building my knowledge of the day to day running of care homes, whose sole purpose which is reflective of my own personal standards, is to provide the highest level of care whilst promoting, dignity, independence and ensuring that the care we provide is integral to each individuals personal choices, and that our residents are embraced and encouraged to continue to lead a fulfilling lives, whilst in the luxury surroundings where the Resident is at the heart of all we do.

It is a pleasure to work for a provider that demonstrates driving standards to be an excellent care provider, and who clearly continue to strive for standards no less than excellent. Staff like me are supported and provided with all the necessary training and tools required, enabling us to not only continue to develop our skill set within our desired area of employment, but to feel rewarded and confident that our Employer is equally as committed to staff as they are the people they provide care for. Job Title: Lifestyle & Wellbeing Co-ordinator

I am the Wellbeing and Lifestyle lead at The Gables. In this role, I plan and oversee all the activities in the home. It is a busy and varied role, where I have the privilege of spending time with the residents on a group and individual basis, both at the Gables or out and about in our minibus.


Prior to working at the Gables, I worked for the Alzheimer's Society, running groups across Birmingham and Solihull for people living with dementia and their loved ones. Prior to this, I worked in drama and theatre for many years and am happy to be able to transfer the skills acquired to my role with Cinnamon.


I am a proud mum of two great teenagers and own a lovely dog called Trixie. My parents passed on to me a great love of the outdoors, gardening, swimming and having a good old chinwag.

MY EXPERIENCE
I have been in care for 31 years, starting when I was just 16 years old, working my way up to senior and then becoming part of the management team around 15 years ago in my previous home. I have completed my level 3 & 4 in Healthcare and my level 5 in leadership and management. I am very passionate about providing the best possible care and looking after people.


ABOUT ME
I am married with a daughter. My other passion apart from care is animals and we have 3 dogs called Mylo, Rufus and Mr Pickles and a cat called Elsa. I love to travel to different parts of the world to learn new cultures and ways of living, my favourite places to visit include Rome and Florida.
