The standard of accommodation, decor, cleanliness and facilities are exceptional. Rooms are spacious and well fitted out, more like a five star hotel. All staff have been extremely caring, competent, supportive and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Would not hesitate to book myself in for a
stay if ever the need arose.

I'm currently half way through a three week stay after having a knee replacement operation and becoming increasingly concerned that I would be able to manage on my own at home. It's the best decision I could have made. The accommodation and public areas are all beautifully furnished and there is a
warm homely feel. The staff are friendly and easily on hand should I need to call someone for help, which was important due to my limited mobility initially. If anyone is thinking of doing this, I can thoroughly recommend it. I'm sure the whole experience is aiding my recovery and I'm grateful for the care. Thank you.
Reply from Claire Hoyles, Home Admission Advisor at Outram FieldsThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted to hear that your stay with us following your knee replacement has been such a positive one.
Recovering after surgery can feel quite daunting, especially when you're worried about managing alone at home, so it means a great deal to know that you've felt supported, comfortable and safe during your time with us. We're so pleased that the environment, accommodation and care from the team have helped you settle in and focus on your recovery.
Our respite stays are designed to provide exactly that reassurance and support at what can be a difficult time, and it's lovely to hear that the experience is helping your recovery along the way.
Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. We wish you continued progress with your recovery and hope the rest of your stay is just as comfortable and enjoyable.

From the moment my mum moved in she felt like she was at home. I felt so fortunate to have found such an amazing home that treated her like family & made me feel so welcome too. Nothing was ever too much trouble & the attention & care mum received was second to none. She was treated with so much dignity
by everyone working there. All the staff were so kind & caring & mum felt very loved. I never expected there could be a care home of this calibre. I cannot recommend Donna & her team enough. Thank you to them all.
Reply from Claire Hoyles, Home Admission Advisor at Outram FieldsThank you so much for your lovely review, Elaine. Your kind words mean such a lot to us.
It was a real privilege to care for your mum and to get to know you both during your time at Outram Fields.
Thank you for recognising the kindness, dignity and genuine care shown by the team. Creating a warm and caring environment where residents feel loved and valued is exactly what we hope for.
We'll also always remember your thoughtfulness and kindness towards the team - from the lovely sweet bags to the beautiful hampers you made. They always meant so much and were such a thoughtful gesture.
Thank you again for your trust, support and friendship. Your mum will always hold a special place in the hearts of everyone here at Outram Fields.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our sister came to Outram Fields in February for a two week respite break. This turned into a permanent stay. She took a couple of weeks to settle in but was helped by the staff and she now seems to be very comfortable there. The rooms are top notch hotel standard, the staff are all extremely friendly
and very helpful to both residents and visitors. There is a full programme of interesting things to do each day and residents are encouraged by staff to take part and from the photos shown daily on social media these are well attended and enjoyed by all. Visitors are also welcome to take part.
Reply from Claire Hoyles, Home Admission Advisor at Outram FieldsThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted that what began as a short respite stay has become somewhere your sister now feels comfortable and settled. We understand that moving into a care home can take time to adjust to, so it's lovely to hear how supported she has felt by the team during those early weeks.
It's wonderful to know you've been pleased with both the environment and the warm welcome from our staff. We're especially pleased that your sister is enjoying the daily activities and opportunities to socialise, and that you've enjoyed following along with the photos and updates on social media too.
Thank you again for your kind words and support - it means a great deal to the whole team at Outram Fields.

Initially reluctant to move into a care home my sister has settled in far better than I ever expected. She has made friends and takes part in some of the many activities and entertainment on offer. The outside space is lovely and with summer coming on I'm sure many days will be spent out there.
Staff
are lovely to us as visitors and my sister assures me 'they can't do enough for us.'
Thankfully I now know she is safe and well looked after.
Reply from Claire Hoyles, Home Admission Advisor at Outram FieldsThank you so much for taking the time to share this - it really means a lot to us.
We completely understand how difficult that initial decision can be, so it's wonderful to hear that your sister has settled in so well and is enjoying both the friendships and the activities on offer. Seeing residents feel happy, engaged, and part of a community is exactly what we hope for.
We're especially pleased you've mentioned the outdoor spaces - they've been designed to be enjoyed, and with the warmer months ahead, we're looking forward to spending even more time outside with residents.
Your kind words about the team mean a great deal. Knowing that your sister feels so well cared for, and that you feel reassured she is safe and supported, is exactly why we do what we do.
Thank you again for your lovely feedback - we're so glad to have your sister as part of our Outram Fields family.

Outram Fields, well what can I say about it when it is absolutely perfect in every way. I have been coming to the home right from day one, whether it is to visit friends who live there or attend workshops and even sing with my choir. The staff are truly the best and have always made me feel welcome.
The food is excellent and they make a great cup of tea!.

My wife and I are over 80 and have been residents for nearly 3 months in a 2-roomed apartment on the non-dementia floor. My wife can no longer walk and has been confined to a wheelchair for 18 months. She needs assistance to move from it onto bed etc, and to be turned 3/4 times during the night. I had
been her carer at home, but my health is now deteriorating. My main concern is the care my wife needs, and I cannot speak too highly of how well trained the staff are to handle the needs of the elderly, the promptness of the staff's responses and their kindness. I have admired the staff's patience with all residents, especially in dealing with demanding situations. The residents rooms and the communal areas are excellent, and kept spotless. The meals are good, with a choice of 2 items for each of the 3 courses. The full activities program has at least one activity a day which would appeal to residents of all physical and mental capabilities.

My overall experience was a positive one, from initial visit to my assessment at home before my stay. While in my stay at all levels were helpful, cheerful and professional. I had to visit hospital during my stay and this was sorted for me. The room was lovely, the overall building was well decorated
and the food was varied and of a high standard. I would recommend Outram to my friends. Thank you.

My mum moved in for respite after a fall at home, she is now moving in as a perm resident. OF is like stepping into a 5 star Hotel, the warm friendly smiles and greeting from the staff to the facilities and activities programme that fulfill so many needs of the residents. My Mum at 68 with early onset
alzheimers and being physically fit would not be able to manage all the activities she joins in with at home. All of her needs are being met which means we can relax, my mums is relaxed and our job is to make memories of good times together knowing that she is safe and happy. This is not they experience that comes to mind with this sad and difficult illness. Seeing this new lease of life in my Mum is the most precious thing to my family and OF facilitates this. OF is truly a special place that I love to visit and be part of with my dear Mum.

My mother in law has been a permanent resident for a month at Outram Fields. Previously she has had three spells of respite and enjoyed her time there. When it became apparent she needed 24 hour care we had no doubt that Outram Fields was the best place for her. She is looked after very well, the rooms
are spacious and clean, she eats well from a varied menu. She takes part in regular activities and has made friends with the residents. We are very happy to see her settled and safe.

This new home offers a very high level of accommodation and care . Its facilities are extensive , the rooms very well designed and appointed and the standard of care offered is exemplary. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive with an empathetic level of attention given to the residents , particularly
those with some level of dementia. This is not the cheapest residential home available but given the extent of facilities and level of care offered it is certainly excellent value for money including a very good kitchen !

My Nan moved to Outram Fields after a fall at home & a short hospital stay, she moved in within the week & after a short respite stay, stayed permanently in her spacious room with en suite facilities. She enjoyed the beautiful luxurious surroundings, spacious lounges, countless activities & attentive
assistance of all the care team. Anything needed was provided without any delay including an air mattress which arrived almost immediately after being recommended.
Sadly, Nan recently passed away, but she made many friends at Outram Fields, as did I, everyone is so friendly, kind & supportive. I visited mostly in the evenings & was welcomed to enjoy visits in the communal areas or with Nan in her room & we treated everything as we would have her own home. At the very end we were given immense support & were able to be with Nan almost around the clock. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect ending to my Nans life than her experience at Outram Fields. Thankyou so very much to everyone.

We were amazed when first walked in, nothing like any care home we'd been in before. Not only were the resident's rooms well planned, but the options of busy or quiet day rooms, and last but not least, such friendly and helpful staff all contributed to my cousin saying, after 3 months, if she couldn't
be in her own home she couldn't think of anywhere she would rather be.

Mum has been a resident in Outram Fields for 6 months. The home is beautifully appointed, light and airy with sumptuous furnishings and beautiful decor. It is kept very clean and tidy yet always feels cosy, and homely.
The care team and management are very friendly and welcoming. They look after Mum
beautifully and always respond to her needs. Mum always looks smart and well cared for - the hairdresser and nail technician keep mum feeling her best which is important to her.
Mum's bedroom is bright and spacious with plenty of room for personal effects, the colours are restful and calming and her ensuite wet room is modern. Her room is always cleaned, tidied and well-ventilated.
The catering is excellent. Mum enjoys a 'full English' most mornings and there are menu choices at the 3-course lunch and dinner. Visitors are welcome 24 hours a day and are encouraged to join residents for morning coffee, and afternoon tea or to participate in any of the scheduled daily activities.

My parents moved into Outram Fields at the beginning of September, following one fall too many. As soon as we walked through the door I knew that we'd chosen the right place - all staff were genuinely caring, energetic, smiley, and made them feel at home straight away. As soon as we were shown up to
the room, my Mum lay on the bed 'to try it out' and fell asleep for two hours - the longest she'd slept at one go for a long time!
My Dad had been losing weight, as they were no longer able to cook proper meals at home - he now has muesli and a full English breakfast every morning, a three-course lunch and a three-course dinner, and has put on nearly a stone in 6 weeks! He's looking so much better like a load has been lifted (which it has). It's lovely to see him chatting to other residents at the dinner table.

Our friend was actually frightened to come here, afraid of the unknown but within a few weeks was settled and happy. The staff are thoughtful and caring, making sure she eats well and joins in the activities she enjoys. She is now making friends and is beginning to feel useful again, relaxing and becoming

My lovely mum moved in a month ago (she has dementia) after looking at a few other care homes. Outram Fields was the one that we thought was most suited to her needs and we aren't disappointed in the slightest.
She is visited regularly by family members at any time of day, and whenever we drop in
she is always being looked after royally by lovely, friendly, skilled members of staff who can't do enough for her. This of course makes us (her family) feel content and very happy to know that she is cared for and respected by Outram Fields community.
Thank you all!

My darling friends aged 88 and 92 moved to Outram Fields in February. From that very first day, they have been cared for by staff who genuinely have their best interests at heart, and who treat them with the utmost respect, dignity and love.
Importantly, my friends have complete autonomy around what
they wish to do. They are considered and encouraged to take part in the many activities that the home facilitates, however, there is no pressure for them to take part.
It is managed brilliantly and families are always kept up-to-date on what is going on and are made to feel so very welcome when we visit. It really does have a family atmosphere, one which we are all proud of.
My friends are very comfortable in their suite and the home itself is beautifully appointed with luxury fixtures, fittings and decoration throughout.
They have theme days and nights and the staff invite different people in to provide a variety of interesting things to do or forms of entertainment. It is wonderful!

The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Outram Fields is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 registered maximum number of service users is 16.2, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

What I do:
I am proud to be the Deputy Manager at Outram Fields, and I am deeply passionate about delivering the high standard of care that each resident deserves. I always strive to achieve the best possible outcome for each person.

My experience:
With many years of experience in the care sector, I have worked in care homes since 2016, specialising in dementia care and providing compassionate support to residents while also guiding and reassuring families through what can often be a challenging journey.

To me, working at Outram Fields is never just a job—it’s a privilege. Caring for our residents and supporting them in their personal journey is incredibly rewarding. I am equally committed to mentoring and guiding our care team members, helping them grow in their own careers and ensuring that we, as a team, provide the best possible care to those who need it.

About me:
Outside of work, I’m kept busy by my little girl, who certainly keeps me on my toes! I cherish spending time with my partner, friends, and family. We enjoy dining out, travelling, and making memories together. When I have a moment to relax, you’ll often find me watching reality TV (much to my partner’s amusement) and surrounded by anything pink!

I have worked in the health and social care sector for four years. I understand that moving into a care home is just as important and daunting for the family as it is for the resident and will help and support you every step of the way.

What I Do
I work closely with Claire to support individuals, families and friends who are looking for care for themselves or a loved one. From the very first enquiry, through to moving into Outram Fields, I’m here to help guide people through the process and make it feel as smooth, supportive and stress-free as possible.

I understand that choosing the right care home can feel overwhelming and emotional. Having experienced this myself with my own family, I know how important it is to feel listened to and supported. I aim to be there every step of the way, offering reassurance, guidance and a friendly face during what can often be a difficult time.

My Experience
My journey into this role has been shaped by both my career and growing up around the care sector. I studied Sociology and Politics at university while working as a Health Advisor for NHS 111. After this, I moved into hospitality, working as a Sales and Events Co-ordinator in a hotel before progressing to Conference, Events and Sales Manager. During this time, I realised how much I enjoy working with people, building relationships and being part of important moments in their lives, which is what eventually led me back to the care sector.

Care has always been a big part of my life. My mum has worked in care since she was 19 and is still at the same home today, so I’ve grown up seeing the dedication and compassion it takes to do this job well. Because of that, I understand how important trust, empathy and honesty are when supporting families through such an important decision.

About Me
When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me out walking my dog, spending time with my friends and fiancé, or curled up watching a film, I’m a big movie fan. I’ve also always loved musical theatre and have been involved in performing on stage since I was young, so I’ll never say no to a good show tune.

I also have dual nationality with Australia and lived there for a short time when I was younger, which is where my love for adventure and travel really began.

Job Title: Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator

What I do:
My role is to plan and deliver an engaging, varied and inclusive programme of activities for every resident at Outram Fields. Each task aims to promote mental well-being: this is done through a variety of physical, creative, therapeutic, sensory, and artistic tasks that facilitate experiences to enable residents to build on what they know and enjoy already and allow them the opportunity to experience something new in a social, caring, and friendly environment. This can be achieved in large, small, and individual groups. We welcome members of the community to come to Outram, whether that be pupils from the local school, a toddler group, volunteers, or experts – the key is to enable residents to continue to develop successful relationships.

My experience:
During the last 25 years, I have taught in primary schools in Cheshire, North Wales, and Sheffield. Moving to Outram Fields to pursue a career in the Care Industry has allowed me to use my experience of building strong, caring relationships with individuals and to plan and implement creative and interactive activities: meeting the needs of everyone, allowing everyone the opportunity to succeed.

About me:
There is nothing I like more than to be out in the fresh air: whether that’s a walk in the Peak District or pottering around my garden. I am also a member of the Derbyshire Scouting Association Climbing team. We regularly meet groups of Cubs, Scouts and Explorers delivering abseiling, climbing and crate stacking sessions. When I’m not out and about, I enjoy visiting the cinema or meeting friends for a drink and a catch-up.

I now have over 20 years of experience as a Head Chef in Hotels, mainly in Berkshire, Shropshire and Buckinghamshire, and an additional 14 years of experience in the care sector. Before this role, I was a regional chef for Four Seasons Healthcare.

About me:
In my spare time, any chance I get, you will find me outside in the garden, or walking my dog Bud. I have a grandson, who also keeps me on my toes.
