I had been caring for my father for some time but his reducing mobility meant that he had become unsafe at home. He made the decision to try out care home life, and started a 4 week respite stay at Netley Court, after a tour. Whilst he has had to learn to ask for help (typically of that generation, he was reluctant to use the 'call button') he has adapted well, and I have found the managers and staff supportive of both my father and family visitors. The maintenence guys arranged room modifications very speedily.

Any minor issues whilst the staff learned his routine and vice versa, have been easily resolved by normal communication. Visiting is very flexible and there are daily activities for residents. The home and gardens are very fit for purpose - wide corridors and doors, which help with options for moving around, and the food is excellent. There is also a private dining room that can be booked for family occasions like birthdays. etc.

Netley Court is doing a very good job of looking after Mum's complex care needs and providing genuine care and support. Everyone has been very attentive and helpful, especially in the last few months. Special mention to all of the carers who give Mum a lot of affection which she enjoys giving back and I really appreciate their friendly welcome. As ever, everything comes from the management and I feel that the positive environment in this big and busy care home is a reflection of the people in charge. Congratulations to all. TW

I have been really pleased with the care given to my Mother in Law at Netley Court. Despite being 99 in a few weeks she is still loving life and enjoying her time in the home. The professional, caring attention given to the residents is second to none, and the range of activities provided means she is stimulated, still interested in life and looks forward to each day!

Netley Court continues to offer excellent care for my Mum, who is in her very late nineties. The staff go over and above to show genuine care and commitment to the residents. The appointment of a new well-being lead and the continued enthusiasm of the activities team, has resulted in a noticeable improvement in the range of entertainment offered; the emphasis being placed on trips and visits in the local area as well as entertainment and differentiated activities. Mum currently has a more varied and interesting social life than me!

I marvel at the patience of the staff and the understanding they show the elderly people in their care. The relationship between the carers and residents is excellent and there is a lot of laughter and compassion shown, not just by the carers but by the whole team. The home itself is large enough for the residents to have privacy and not feel smothered or institutionalized.

Netley Court Care Home is, without a doubt, the best care home in Southampton. I cannot praise it highly enough. The Manager is always available to offer reassurance and support, and this level of dedication extends to the entire staff team.
The receptionists are warm and welcoming, creating a comforting atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The housekeeping team keeps the home spotless and beautifully maintained, and the laundry service is consistently excellent. The Maintenance Man is great and very helpful.
Both of my parents have received exemplary care from the dedicated and compassionate care staff. The activities on offer are outstanding, with a wide variety that ensures there's always something engaging for the residents. The Food is always good and there is a wide variety. Mum entered Netley Court Care home in September 2023 and settled well and was very happy. Whilst she never integrated and made use of the fantastic facilities or got involved in the many arranged activities she was in her way very happy. The staff always cared for mum with kindness, and dignity and kept her safe and secure. The friendliness of the whole team was always evident when the family visited and this made visits an enjoyable experience. In the last few weeks of mums life and particularly the last few days, 'nothing' to keep mum safe and comfortable was too much for the team. I was able to stay at the home during mums last days which enabled me to be with mum at the end. I cannot thank the management and whole staff team enough for the care of my mum and the dignity with which she was able to pass away.

I highly commend Netley Court Care Home. The atmosphere at all times during my 4/52 stay was of kindness and genuine caring concern for all the residents and importantly and most marked, between all members of staff in their various, numerous roles. At all times, I felt welcomed, very cared for, secure, safe and valued as a person. The facilities were clean, comfortable, well planned and decor of a high standard. Laundry facilities and marking provision of all patients clothing on admission, pre laundering, was a welcome impressive service. The food and menus varied interesting, well cooked and amounts perfectly satisfying. The daily provision of wine with some meals was welcome happening for those who enjoy it, much appreciated. The gardens, safely fenced from the Solent, are a welcome feature of this very happy home. The excellent activities and outings staff organised very enjoyable 'outings' - tandem rides and river trips within the New Forest area within the care home including a 'Church service on Easter Day.

My father became a resident of Netley Court last August but has sadly passed away recently but I could not have wished for a better place for him to of spent his last days. The staff are amazing, so caring and nothing is too much trouble for them which puts you as ease when leaving the care of your loved ones with them.
The place itself is welcoming from the time you step into the reception area, the rooms are of a high standard and this continues through to the communal areas. The gardens are a friendly place to sit and watch the boats and activities on the river, which my father took great pleasure in doing.
The daily activities help the residents come together (if they wish) as a community so they don't feel as they are on their own. This helped my father a great deal as he was not to sure at the start about leaving his home.

All I can say is if you are looking for a caring, friendly safe place for your loved ones you must take a look at Netley Court you won't be disappointed.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the team at Netley Court Care Home for their exceptional care and support of my 96-year-old father. Living far away, I was initially worried about finding the right place for him after a few falls that led to hospital stays. After much family discussion, we arranged a respite stay at Netley Court, just 11 minutes from my home.
From the start, I was impressed by the kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness of the staff. My father, who values his independence, felt comfortable and well cared for. It was clear that the team genuinely cares about their residents and went out of their way to make him feel respected.

Though he chose to return home after his stay, the team has been incredibly supportive and understanding. I'm reassured knowing he'll be in good hands when he returns for a respite stay over Christmas. Thank you to everyone at Netley Court for your kindness, patience, and ongoing support.

This heart-felt thanks is for the manager, without his care and attention to a very frightened mother, she would not have left her home.
He was so gentle and understanding with her not only getting her out of her home but into his car was amazing.
Kept reassuring her throughout the journey and also once we got to the care home the chap was brilliant.

Please pass on my sincere thanks to him.
