Netley Court is a purpose-built residential care home set in the heart of the village of Netley Abbey and sitting right on the waterfront giving stunning, waterside views that provide residents with a calming and relaxing outlook. The spacious and practical bedrooms combine lovely furnishings with the latest design features that make independence a genuinely achievable goal and all come with a large, well designed and enabling en-suite wet room. Along with a belief that couples should to continue their life journey together, Netley Court also offers specially designed couple suites where fantastic care teams can provide care and support both individually and as a husband and wife.

The home delivers specialist dementia support, with residential care in separate specialist areas, through their own highly trained and dedicated teams. The key to all they do is a focus on dignity, personal choice and independence; all of the residents are encouraged and supported to do all they can for themselves. It is clear in all that they do, every resident, every day, gets the care comfort and companionship that they and their loved ones would wish for.

Our dad moved into Netley Court about 18 months ago. My family and I were so relieved to find a place that did not look or feel like a traditional care home and that we thought dad would like. It was warm and friendly while looking more like a nice hotel and the staff seemed to have an enlightened attitude
about what a care home should be. Dad's care there was excellent. The staff are lovely and made a real effort to meet his sometimes complicated care needs. On the social side, they realised he was quite self-contained with his iPad and kindle, but there was clearly plenty going on around him. The food is very good with lots of choices. Family members joined him for meals on occasion and very kindly the staff helped us set up our own Boxing Day meal in the bar so he could still have a taste of family Christmas. As his health deteriorated, any issues were dealt with in a very caring, sensitive manner and the family felt fully supported by the attitude of the home. A really good place.

I have received excellent care and support and I have pleasure in recording that the staff have been wonderful. Recently there have been changes in staff but new arrivals have been at the same calibre as those who have left. Activities are well organised and are particularly valuable for those on respite
care. There had been a slight lowering of food standards but are now very good.

Our mother moved to Netley Court in December having lived in the same house for 48 years. She is looked after so well that she has gained weight, become much more sociable and engaged in the world and has regained a sense of humour that we thought was lost years ago. Netley Court is beautiful, calm
yet welcoming, not too big and with lovely views of the water and gardens. Activities are varied and interesting and the staff are fabulous. Residents are not expected to get involved - they are gently encouraged but are free to choose what they do each day. The management seem to understand how the best care is delivered and go the extra mile. Children from the local school and nursery come and spend time with residents, dogs are welcomed (which the residents love) and they even have happy hour and visits to the pub. Netley Court treat residents as people, not as old people - with respect, humour and great care.

I stayed at Netley for 2 months following a hospital stay. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will miss all the staff so much. You cannot get better than Netley Court! Looking forward to coming back!

The care home was amazing in every respect. Total peace of mind that my father was being very well looked after. The staff were brilliant and worked with my dad to allow him the right amount of independence and helped with advice with nutrition which dad has taken on board.
The home is like a 5 star
hotel and does not feel like a care home which is great. I would thoroughly recommended this home and is a hidden secret. The admissions manager was amazing and she deserves an award along with the rest of the staff.

My wife was well looked after in every way, according to those who visited her while I was away on holiday. My wife says that she was frightened by something but cannot say what it was beyond that some of the residents appeared to annoy each other. It is very difficult for me to assess how much of this
fear is related to her Alzheimer's. It may just be that her fear is actually because she fears that she is being primed for more permanent residential care and has nothing at all to do with Netley Court. I am confident that Netley Court is a very safe environment and have already booked for another 2weeks in March.

Four weeks in respite care at Netley Court has been a very enjoyable time for my friend. She has been well looked after, made friends and was made to feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff were lovely - always friendly and smiling, creating a positive atmosphere for all the residents. She has enjoyed
the food and the services provided (hair dressing etc.)

My parents were two of the first residents at Netley Court after it opened in the summer of 2015. They chose it for its stunning waterside location and the fact it doesn't look or feel like a traditional care home - there's no large lounge with seats around the edge and TV blaring - but more like a
luxury hotel.


My parents settled in quickly and enjoyed the care and friendship of the staff, and it was reassuring to the family to know they were in such a pleasant place and being so well looked after.


Sadly, in November my mother's health deteriorated and her doctor advised that she would be better staying at Netley Court rather than going into hospital. At this point, the staff excelled themselves even more. Everyone from the manager to the chefs and maintenance team, plus the carers of course, were genuinely concerned for my mother's comfort and wellbeing, and extended their kindness to my father and visiting family.


My mother died peacefully at the end of November, and the carers on duty that night went beyond the call of duty in helping her and our family. The staff continued to support us and given my father the love and kindness he needs.


Thank you to all at Netley Court.


If you're reading this, wondering if to use Netley Court, I couldn't recommend it more highly. It is beyond excellent.

Went to Southampton and overlooked the sea, local shops nearby. The staff were great. Entertainment enjoyable. Food was plentiful.

My Uncle moved to Netley in July after yet another prolonged period in hospital. He and the family were afraid, anxious and concerned about him moving into residential care.


Myself as a qualified Social Worker who is now the CEO of a company that manages schools and children’s homes and having

visited so many other homes, I probably had the highest concerns. The building looked great, but what would the care be like?


It was exceptional, on all levels, the care for my Uncle is such that he will be moving home in October, something we did not believe possible. He has put on over a stone in weight, (the quality of the home cooked food takes up most of my conversations with him, by all accounts it is again outstanding) the stimulation and care have helped him to re frame his life choices. The communication with myself was faultless. His induction was outstanding, I could not attend but two friends were part of the process. The feedback from them spoke in terms of, attention to detail, kindness, preparation, welcoming and a high knowledge of my uncle, his history and current medical issues. Simply brilliant.


Your Manager has been fundamental in the process, he is obviously a great asset to your business. (Look after him, I have 24 care homes for the elderly within our company structure and would steal him at the drop of a hat!) His understanding of services user’s individual needs, communication, humour and consideration to relatives/friends should be used as a bench mark of best practice.


My Uncle will be leaving Netley court at the end of September/start of October, from an outcome analysis this is extraordinary. However on an emotional level he wants to come back for Christmas and new year.

That joy for life spills over into their fun and lively personalities that give constant pleasure, not just to me but to my team too.


My experience:
With over 20 years of experience in a variety of care management roles, I am delighted to return to looking after residents. I hold a Registered Manager’s award and a City & Guilds teaching certificate.


About me:
In my spare time, I love getting out into the outdoors with my dog, spending time with my family, eating out, and reading.

What I Do:
I joined Cinnamon, as Deputy Manager at Netley Court, in May 2023. I work beside the General Manager as part of the management team who makes sure that both residents and staff members are safe and well looked after. My role is to ensure that every resident in Netley Court receives high-quality care which is well deserved.


My Experience:
I have worked in the Care Sector since 2012 when I started my journey as a Care Assistant. In 2019 I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree in Health, Community and Social Care Studies. Working with and for people who live with dementia has always been my passion. I would like to think that I am making a difference in residents' and families' lives by supporting them and fulfilling their needs.


About me:
I am originally from Poland. I love to go back there for a holiday and spend some quality time with my family and friends. My lovely partner and I have a daughter who is my complete world. I am a big pet lover. I have 2 cats Elsa and Biscuit. I love good food and dinner parties.

I started my culinary career aged 15, working on the Isle of Man after college. I’ve cooked for the army, prepared regimental dinners, and worked in Dubai at a five-star hotel and on cruise liners. In London, I cooked for royals, government ministers, and celebrities. As a freelance chef for eight years, I specialized in kosher cuisine, helping a small company become the country’s leading kosher caterer. My experience includes cooking at the House of Lords, No. 10 Downing Street, and serving as a Head Chef at Harrods.

My role at Netley Court is to work with the Head chef, the activities team, and the housekeeping department to ensure that our residents and their visitors all receive the best hospitality experience during their time here.
Our aim is to provide the highest standards from a simple coffee and cake in the bar area to enhancing the dining experience.
I'll also be working closely with the housekeeping team and together we'll strive to make Netley Court a clean, comfortable, and fresh home for all of our guests and residents.
I have been working in the catering, hospitality, and care industry for over 30 years now. During my time I have enjoyed experiences in various hotels and restaurants around the world. More recently I have worked in both contract catering roles and the care industry. I have experience in head chef roles, catering management roles and overseeing hospitality.
