Dad has settled in well at Rectory Court and has been there for 8 months. The staff treat him as an independent adult but at the same time don't hesitate to bring in measures to safeguard his safety and well being.

Communication between staff and relatives poor. Housekeeping poor. Room not cleaned very often.
Reply from Thomasina Allan, General Manager at Rokewood CourtThank you for taking the time to leave a review and for speaking with me personally regarding your experience. I was sorry to learn that your overall impression of Rokewood Court did not reflect the high standards of care and service that we strive to provide. We appreciate all feedback from residents and their families and value the opportunity to listen and learn from their experiences. Although your wife's stay with us was relatively short, I am pleased that we were able to discuss your concerns directly. I would like to thank you for entrusting us with your wife's care and support during her stay, and I wish you both all the very best for the future.

Rectory Court are dedicated to providing excellence in residential care. We have been very pleased with how well they have looked after our friend and she has settled in quickly. Hopefully she will join in some of the activities soon.
As I am based a long way away it is really important for me to be
able to rely on the team at Rectory Court and I know I can. My only challenge now is to find a good time to call for updates etc. I work full time so when I am free (lunchtimes, evenings and weekends) the care team are usually busy with the clients. Fortunately the more senior members of the team also use email for communications.
Thank you for all you have done so far!

Thank you again for your understanding. We truly value the relationship we have with our residents families and we will continue to do our best to support you.

Very happy with the level of care, quality of food and range of activities available for residents. There is always a member of staff on hand when assistance is needed and we feel that our aunt is being well cared for. It's great that a therapy dog goes in regularly and very happy with the physio team
also.

I honestly cannot praise the staff at Rectory Court enough. They have shown the highest level of care, compassion and sensitivity caring for my mum, and nothing is ever too much trouble. They greet us with smiles and have been incredibly supportive when times have been difficult; they have become friends
we look forward to seeing. Mum loves every one of her carers and they brighten her day in so many ways. The home is beautiful - even the toilets are luxurious! Mum loves the food and choosing from the menu is a highlight of her day! Rectory Court are nothing short of amazing.

I am overwhelmed with the kindness, compassion and professionalism shown to my mother since her arrival in early December 2025. Her care is exemplary and all her needs are catered for. She has always led a simple life and hates to be a trouble to anyone. Unfortunately, she does not have much of an
appetite these days as she is in constant pain. This is sad as the meals are excellent - I have partaken a few myself, eating with her. The last occasion was on my birthday. Her medical needs are very carefully monitored and the nursing staff are always there, waiting patiently, to address any concerns one may have. Also I have a very good relationship with the auxillary staff who will always go the extra mile. When I visit I always make a point of trying to meet face-to-face with as many of the team as possible. This results in a close family orientated relationship. Thank You!
Reply from Yetty Adepegba, Village Manager at Eden CourtThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We're truly touched by your kind words. It means a great deal to the whole team to know that your mother feels supported and that our care and attention are making a positive difference for her and for you. We're especially glad that you've built such a close relationship with the staff, that sense of family is exactly what we strive for at Eden Court. Thank you again for your trust and kindness.

We have been so impressed with the care and happy atmosphere at Rectory Court. All the activities are geared to help people on many different levels of physical and mental aptitude. Barbara has settled in so well in quite a short space of time. As a family we feel so relieved that she is safe there
but also happy. They also welcome friends and family that come hot visit. Well done Rectory Vourt for being everything you promised to be.

Mum was diagnosed with dementia a couple of years ago . We were keen to keep her in her own home for as long as possible, but after a number of falls it became clear that for her own safety and well being she would need to receive 24 hour support .
We found Leah Lodge through a friend , whose mum had
stayed .
My sister and I went to meet Jessica , the Home Admissions Advisor , and she showed us round and helped put our kind at rest . Mum was a little anxious about moving from the family home , but I have to say that from the moment she moved in on 11th April 2025 , she was made to feel welcome , sage and looked after . The staff were wonderful and always looked out for mum, giving us regular updates . I visited every week to take mum out , and was always impressed at how welcoming and friendly the staff were ! Mum settled in very quickly , and had a very good year there . Sadly she passed away on 5th April this year .. once again the staff couldn't have been more supportive! Thanks !

The minute I walked through the doors of Rectory Court I knew I had found the right place for my mother. She was delighted with her room and encouraged to make it her own.Care is 'person led' at Rectory which meant staff quickly got to know her and embraced who she was.She felt comfortable and safe.We
all did , at Rectory.
In these last stages of her life the team with their flexible and imaginative approaches to care offered mum choice and control in her day to day living. The atmosphere in the home has a gentleness about it.Staff are friendly and open. There are opportunities for social connection with a wide array of activites and groups if that's what you like but also places to be quiet and peaceful. The gardens are stunning ! Staff across the board were always approachable and kind ready to talk through anything if I had a worry .Mum was extremely happy at Rectory. We are truly grateful.

The carers and all staff at Rokewood Court are really professional, pleasant and helpful and supportive. During the decision-making process, when choosing a care home for my aunt, who has moved up from Devon to live near me, I visited many other care homes in the area, and I am more than happy with
the choice we made as it far outstrips the others in many areas - comfort and ambience being top of the list. Whenever I mention to friends that my aunt is living at Rokewood Court they are truly impressed.
