My Grandmother has been at Eden Court for a number of months now. The move was tricky, she was reluctant to go in to care. The team at Eden Court have been spectacular. They went out of their way to make sure my Gran not only settled but also thrived in her new home. It was one the best decisions we
made and are so grateful to all the staff at this great care home.
Reply from Yetty Adepegba, Village Manager at Eden CourtThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We understand how difficult a transition into care can be, so it means a great deal to hear that your grandmother has not only settled in but is thriving at Eden Court. Thank you for trusting us with your grandmother's care and for taking the time to share your experience.

Rokewood Court has been a life raft for both me and my father in providing appropriate support and care allied with kindness, respect and understanding in the last phase of his life. I needed to find a care home swiftly to enable my father to leave the hospital, and Rokewood Court responded handsomely.
My confidence and trust that there are care homes that really do care and provide competent and consistent levels of assistance has been rejuvenated. I am so grateful for the friendly, supportive environment and everyone who contributes to that.
Reply from Martin Harrington, Home Admission Advisor at Rokewood CourtThank you for entrusting us with your wonderful father's care, at a particularly difficult time. We are very grateful for your kind words, which will be passed on to the whole team. Take care.

From the moment our mum moved to Rectory Court she, and us as her family, were welcomed into a lovely caring, kind and compassionate environment. Mum was treated as an individual and respected as a person. Care was taken to understand what her interests were and she went from living on her own, with
family support, to have a busy and fulfilled last chapter of her life, that her family could also take part in. It is never easy to make the decision to move to a care home but she and we made absolutely the right decision to choose Rectory Court. The care was great and even when things went wrong, as of course they do from time to time, the response was always immediate and appropriate. We felt the staff, especially the Manager, GP, Events Coordinate and the carers really cared about mum and us and went out of their way to make mum's last 3 years the best it could be and along the way we made some good friends. Thank you.

Mum stayed for 2 weeks respite care at Rokewood Court. Arrangements for admission were smooth. She settled in well after an initial bumpy couple of days. She enjoyed the good and company. Carers were respectful, and the other staff cleaning and catering were lovely and always used her name and chatted
to her. Overall, a good experience.

My mother was a resident of Leah lodge for 4 months before death on 5th September. She suffered from dementia and all members of staff were fantastic to her and catered for all her needs. They looked after her and cared for her in a very sympathetic way. I would recommend Leah lodge to anyone who is
looking for special care for dementia.

It's still early days -my Mother has been at Rectory Court for 3 weeks - but so far we have had a very good experience. The activities they offer are varied and interesting, including trips out to Greenwich Park and Oxleas wood, as well as things like choir and carpet boules. I"ve been impressed
with the carers too, all are good, but some have gone the extra mile in connecting with her and making her feel at home. The food and interiors in general feel quite like you are in a small hotel. They have a great coffee machine and baked goods for residents and visitors to sample. The garden is also beautifully manicured and gives the residents a lot of joy in the summer months.

Mum joined leah lodge end of February 25. It had been a very tough decision, because our wish was that she could continue living in her own house.
However we were pleasantly surprised how quickly mum was settled.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Mum has a good relationship with the staff . They are very caring. There
is some lovely banter going on between residents and staff. I come to the home very often and i have observed that the staff is extremely patient, friendly and affectionate with the residents.
PERSONAL and MEDICAL CARE:
The staff takes very good care of mum checking her regularly for cleanliness and comfort. Mum does not have any bad smell on her whatever the time we visit.
The staff seem to be attentive to mum's eventual medical needs. They are prompt to communicate if something happens. They have raised SG for a DTI.when even her personal doctor had not. They made sure that mum was visited by the doctor and district nurse as necessary. They are approchable to us the family.

In 2024 I started searching for a safe place for a 90 year old lady who was no longer able to look after herself in her flat. I have lived in Blackheath for 40 years and set the bar high to find the right care home. When I visited Leah Lodge the search ended. The staff listened, respected and understood
our needs. My many questions were all answered. Within a few weeks a well appointed room was offered. My friend was delighted. Our requests have been listened to as needs have changed. A caring place where one is greeted by name, a smile and offered help if needed - nothing seems to be too much trouble. It is loverly to take her to the coffee lounge for a drink and delicious cake despite her becoming a little muddled and in clothes she has been helped choose. A good choice of well cooked meals served in the dining room with friends made within the home. Leah Lodge has certainly looked after my needs. I am sure they will continue to respond to her changing needs. Well done to all.

My mother has been a resident for over a year. During that time her overall health has improved as a result of the regular care. The staff maintain a high standard of comfort in the surroundings. A lovely garden is good to sit in when weather is nice. Meals are served in lovely dining rooms in a genial
atmosphere. An impressive range of activities are provided, from group activities to outings and film showings. There is a piano, a choir, and musicians often visit. Having lived independently until the age of 96, I can't imagine her having settled anywhere better. The care staff do everything they can to respect her and make her comfortable. It feels like a very nice small hotel.

Mum is cared for, but at the same time her life is not regimental. There is freedom for her to join, or not, of many activities. The relatives are also free to come and go as we see fit. There are also activities that involves friends and relatives to come and join. Last Christmas, there was the wonderful
show put on by the residents, relatives and staffs. We look forward for more to come. The staff are wonderful and friendly. Well done everyone!

Mum and our family have had a very positive overall experience whilst living and visiting at Rectory Court. Mum has taken full advantage of the many activities on offer. It is a very welcoming and friendly home and whilst there are many different residents in the community, each is able to be themselves
and be treated with care and dignity. The activities coordinator works hard to include everyone and individualise activities where necessary to meet residents' needs and interests. Our concerns have been few but we have found staff quick to respond when necessary.

Leah Lodge was our choice after visiting several other care homes in the premium category and we are still happy with that choice four years later.
Every staff member I've ever met has been lovely. They are very conscientious about reporting any little bruise or blemish, which is a great comfort.
The
rooms are a little on the small side but they are comfortable.
As to value, I believe the price is in line with the industry, but it is extremely expensive and has risen far beyond inflation.

My mum moved into this care home in February 2025. She is at the advanced stage of vascular dementia and alzheimer's. To be honest, I creid all the way in the taxi when bringing her to the home, while she remained calm. When she arrived she was so pleased to see so many smiley faces and was welcomed
by all.
For me, no care home is good enough for my mum, and in my visits I keep a close eye on as much as I can. 9 months later, I have to say, it was the right move. The environment in Leah Lodge is peaceful - like a small private hotel. Nicely decorated and it does not have 'that smell'. My mum and her surroundings are kept clean and she seems very happy. I imagined having to bring her proper food on my visits, but the standard of catering is very good. I know it is tasty as I taste it.
Finally, I cannot fault the staff looking after my mum. They are kind and friendly, and I have come to appreciate that they do not put on a show when I visit. That's great.
