As a family, we can't praise Abbotswood and all its staff highly enough. Our mother is well cared for and happy. From Lee (manager) to every member of staff we have seen and spoken to, we have been so impressed with the level of kindness and professionalism. We could not want a better place for our
mother to live.

I cannot fault the care but I find Management very slow to respond to emails. I also was shocked at the annual increase which equates to £700 a month and this is around 9%. This means our money is dwindling. Never once in the time my relative has been there have they checked in for any financial support
check we are ok. Our money will run out in around 8 months. There's never a suggestion of chat to us. I feel really quite disappointed with this. I find the new manager less friendly than the old one and overall I am not feeling particularly happy with the home right now. Just to be clear a recent review put costs up at £8k per month. Up by £700 per month. Care staff are lovely but I feel management is a bit of a let down.

Nobody wants their loved ones to go into care, but if and when it happens, Abbotswood Court, in my honest opinion nis as good as it gets. My dad used to own care homes, and they were of a very high standard. Ironically, he now resides in one, and I am happy to say that it is of the same high standard
that, as a proprietor, he expected. Well done!

We were faced with a challenging family situation where our Sister ,who has always lived by herself, was no longer able to cope in her home resulting in hospitalisation. As her home is totally unsuitable for safe living we needed to find a solution before being discharged from hospital.. The priority
was to place her in a care home that ticked all the boxes, was close to family and a home that we felt we would like to be in ourselves.. We identified five local Care homes and awarded them marks in our rating system. Abbotswood came up top with maximum points. Right from the start the Team were very helpful in guiding us through this difficult decision and by the second visit our minds were made up.
It took no time at all for our Sister to settle in at Abbotswood Court and she is able to receive regular visits from our family.. Did we make the right decision? Definitely.....
Thank you to all the staff and we look forward to being part of the Abbotswood Family.

The staff and facilities are excellent. All aspects of her care are excellent, taken to hospital for appointments. Very well
informed about all activities and menu choices. Overall Mornington Court provides an excellent environment for my aunt, exceeding all my expectations.

After months of finding it difficult to cope at home by herself and coming out of a two week hospital stay on the Isle of Wight, we were faced with the challenge of what to do next. Our Sister had no family on the IOW so we visited six local Care homes on the mainland which were accessible to the family
in the New Forest. We gave each Care Home a rating for different aspects including ' Would we be Happy in the chosen Home ourselves'? Hartwood House came up with maximum points so our decision was easily made. The Staff were very helpful and made our Sister welcome from the very start. This is a difficult time for both our Sister and the rest of the family but it is great to know she is in the best place, being cared for and the family can visit with ease. Instead of being isolated on the Isle of Wight our Sister has come Home!
Reply from Charlotte Dean, Home Admissions Advisor at Hartwood House Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about Hartwood House. It really does mean so much to us and I will share this with the team.

We understand how challenging this period was for your sister and for the whole family, and we're honored that you placed your trust in us.

Our team works hard to ensure every resident feels welcome, safe, and truly at home, so it means a great deal to know this has been your experience from the very beginning. We're also pleased that being closer to family has made such a positive difference.

Thank you again for your recommendation and support.

Hartwood Care Home is set in delightful grounds in the New Forest, it is a lovely , homely environment for residents, which is beautifully furnished and decorated. The staff are extremely welcoming, caring and very attentive to my mums needs.
Her room is a very comfortable, decorated to a high standard

There are plenty of activities laid on for the residents if they wish to participate and the food provided is of excellent quality.

From my very first visit with my mother who suffers with dementia, I knew Abbotswood Romsey provided every aspect of care my mother required.
Annya provided a superb introduction, detailing every provision.
Together with my mother, we witnessed rooms she was likely to obtain, restaurants, lounges
including the grounds.
In addition, we were introduced to other residents whom all appeared happy and content.
Staff also introduced themselves . It was as if they had known my mother for years !
Now I can confirm a decision was easy to make. My mother is an Abbotswood resident. Warm, engaged with numerous activities, well fed and well cared for with the very best attentive staff
Thank you Annya, thanks to all staff and thank you Abbotswood.

I was recommended to Wellington Vale and arranged a viewing. I was very impressed from the outset. The home was very bright, warm, and welcoming, as were the staff I met. My father's room was very well-appointed and laid out. During my father's brief stay (3 months) we felt that he was cared for very
well. All the staff showed compassion and a genuine wish to ensure that he was made comfortable and his needs met. Without mentioning names, there were particular staff who excelled in their duties. My family and I also thought that the Management Team were excellent.

I have been helping out and working with Wellington Vale Care home for number of years on a voluntary basis. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Being in and out at different times I have seen the care and dedication they show to the residents throughout the day, every day.
The consideration
they give to small gestures that make every resident part of the family is lovely to watch and be involved in. But not only the residents but also interacting with the community and becoming part of the community is so wonderful and greatly appreciated. It does not matter what role a staff member has, they are all helpful and caring. I have never seen anything but kindness and warmth across the board.
