My parents have been beneficiaries of the Care provided by Merriman Grange Care home since it opened in April 2025. I have regularly visited them during this time & have been delighted to see them settle in & become part of a growing residential community, making new friends & enthusiastically joining
in the many events organised by the Home. There is a very nicely balanced mix of privacy, when they want to retreat to their rooms & luxuriously furnished communal areas for socializing & entertaining visiting family & friends. Very importantly, the care & support is there to help them 24/7, via regular visits throughout the day, help when required getting up or going to bed & at the push of a button when needed. The meals are excellent & can be taken in one of the three restaurants or in their room & are as hot in their room as when served at table!! I leave them always reluctantly, but in the knowledge they are very happy & superbly looked after. Merriman Grange was an excellent choice

As a newbie to to this...I must report that the staff/crew made a very difficult situation a great deal easier..
I noticed that they gave Mum a while to settle in and then used their judgment.
For that I'm eternally grateful!

Happy to oblige...

My mum was taken into Merriman Grange for respite following an operation.
The care home is outstanding, with a luxurious feel. The food is of a very high standard also with plenty of choice. Not forgetting the small touches too, like visitors being able to help themselves to drinks, cakes etc whilst
visiting their relatives.
I needed support when my mum first went in as it was a tough time but I was well supported by Jan & her colleagues.
The people are so lovely and nothing is ever too much for anyone who works there. I would highly recommend this care home.
Reply from Jan Marples, Home Admissions Advisor at Merriman Grange Care HomeThank you so much for the kind words. It was a pleasure to look after your Mum. It can be really difficult to support a parent through an operation and hospital admission. You and the family had a lot to contend with at that time - it was the least we could do to help smooth the way a little bit. Thanks again for taking the time to write your review.

My mother's partner has spent the last few weeks at Lakeview for respite care. From the moment we arrived to look around, we were made to feel welcome. The beautiful facilities are very impressive Including the lovely garden. Jackie has been great from the beginning - helping us with the process and
showing compassion and caring at a very difficult and emotional time. We feel that mums partner has been very well looked after and have confidence in all the staff. Happily recommend lakeview

Could not speak more highly of Lakeview Grange. All the staff are incredible helpful and there isn't anything that is too much to ask for from them. The care senior Caitlyn is an absolute pleasure to deal with and is remarkable with all residents, supporting their needs and making them feel at home.
Lakeview Grange provide a luxurious home from home, the entertainment and food are incredible and the facilities are state of the art.
Most importantly, the staff treat all residents like family, the level of care they provide is above and beyond.

I visited my friend's mother on 10th February 26. In the morning I was so very impressed by the warmest of welcomes, I received by all the staff. The atmosphere at 'Lakeview' in Chichester was amazing! I waited in the lounge for a while and was so impressed by the kindness I witnessed towards all the
residents! Especially one of the staff who was dancing and singing with a group of residents as they enjoyed a valentines 'singalong'. Lakeview is most certainly a luxury retirement home!
I remain beyond very impressed. My friend's mother is being looked after so so well. Thank you.

My mum had 2 respite stays at Merriman Grange at the end of last year. I cannot recommend it highly enough. All the staff are friendly, kind & professional. The bedrooms and all the communal areas are beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The food is varied and of a high quality and smaller
appetites are catered for. The activities program and outings are interesting and varied and residents are encouraged to join in but it is acknowledged that sometimes people want to have some quiet time and this is also OK.
Merriman Grange is more like a 5 star hotel than a care home - highly recommended in all areas.

Mum moved in last September. Although it took her a while to settle, the care and support from everyone at Merriman helped tremendously. Her room is amazing, and with all her personal bits and pieces, it feels like her home. The facilities are fantastic with a wide range of activities to choose from.
Mum particularly enjoys the minibus trips. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and caring. We are confident that mum is safe and well cared for, and no longer on her own. There is always someone available for a chat.

We are very happy that our mother is a resident at Merriman Grange. It is a warm and caring home with friendly staff and you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door. There are many welcoming communal spaces, either to share time with visitors or other residents or to sit quietly with
a book or a cup of coffee. Activities to stimulate mind and body are provided mornings and afternoons and the staff encourage residents to participate but respect their need for quiet time too. The facilities are very modern, clean and of a high standard. The bedrooms are well designed, with plenty of storage and shelving for displaying personal knick-knacks. Overall the Merriman provides a beautiful, luxurious, friendly environment, which is exactly what we wanted for our mother's care.

My father and stepmother's Medical Practice attend this beautiful Care Home, so it was the obvious choice for both of them after my father sustained an accident at home.
The ambience of Lakeview Grange is like that of a top quality hotel, the interior decor is of a very high standard and all the public
areas, reception rooms, dining room and bedrooms are superb. You would never think you are in a Care Home, which is exactly what I wanted for my parents.
Sadly, my father recently passed, but I couldn't have chosen a better place for his passing, and now to care for my 99-year-old stepmother going forward. She is very happy at Lakeview, they always have a lot of activities taking place to keep the residents interested and occupied. The morning I bought them to Lakeview, there was a magician and in the afternoon, a musician playing the baby grand piano.
My stepmother is constantly telling me how wonderful all the staff members are, and how delicious the food is!

I can highly recommend Merriman Grange. My mum stayed there for five weeks of respite care and truly loved her time there. From the moment she arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and consistently went above and beyond - especially the wonderful care team, who showed such kindness and compassion
throughout her stay.
There were plenty of engaging daily activities for her to enjoy, including trips out, which she really looked forward to. The food was of an excellent standard, and she also formed some lovely friendships while she was there. It was such a comfort knowing she was so well cared for, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Merriman Grange to others.

My father-in-law recently moved into Lakeview Grange, due to his dementia going downhill in the last few months.
It's a very difficult decision that the family had to make and I don't think you ever want to see a loved one go into a care home, but the staff have been amazing at Lakeview, especially
Jackie & Josh.
They have handled the situation with empathy, care and above all else kindness to both my father-in-law & us as a family.
The facilities are amazing and it's a lovely environment for us to visit.
We couldn't recommend Lakeview enough, just listen to their advice.
Thank you from us all

My father moved to Lakeview Grange after a week in hospital. He has always been adamant that he would never move to a care home, but needs must.
He is very happy there, the home looks more like a five star hotel, the staff are very warm and have a lovely sense of humour. They even went to the trouble
of introducing him to like minded residents-on my first visit to the home I found my father having lunch with three other residents. The food looked delicious and homemade.
Our experience of Lakeview Grange could not have been better. I am very grateful to them.

My mother became a resident of the Merriman three months ago, and it is already evident that the kindness, professionalism, and unwavering dedication of your staff profoundly enrich the lives of those in your care. Equally important is your compassion that extends beyond the residents themselves, offering
invaluable support and reassurance to their families and friends.
Reply from Jan Marples, Home Admissions Advisor at Merriman Grange Care HomeWe're very grateful for this feedback, thank you so much. One thing that we're all aware of at Merriman Grange is that the transition into a care home is a journey made by the whole family and circle of friends, as well as the resident. We keep that in mind during those early weeks and months, and try to ease any natural worries. Your Mum is an absolute delight and a much-loved member of our community. Thank you again.
