Lawrence had a lovely time. He was well looked after and the food was excellent!
He came back happy and refreshed.
His room was very nice and quiet but too warm for him! The allocated carer was very nice and attentive. Lawrence would love to come back sometime!
Reply from Martin Harrington, Home Admission Advisor at Rokewood CourtI am pleased to hear that Lawrence had a great Christmas with us. We are looking forward to welcoming him back in the future. Thanks for taking the time to review Lawrence's experience.

Mum really enjoyed her short respite stay at Rokewood. We could relax as we were confident she was in good hands. She is looking forward to her next stay as she felt so well looked after. She also made new friends! Not bad for 90!

Rokewood Court has been a life raft for both me and my father in providing appropriate support and care allied with kindness, respect and understanding in the last phase of his life. I needed to find a care home swiftly to enable my father to leave the hospital, and Rokewood Court responded handsomely.
My confidence and trust that there are care homes that really do care and provide competent and consistent levels of assistance has been rejuvenated. I am so grateful for the friendly, supportive environment and everyone who contributes to that.
Reply from Martin Harrington, Home Admission Advisor at Rokewood CourtThank you for entrusting us with your wonderful father's care, at a particularly difficult time. We are very grateful for your kind words, which will be passed on to the whole team. Take care.

Mum stayed for 2 weeks respite care at Rokewood Court. Arrangements for admission were smooth. She settled in well after an initial bumpy couple of days. She enjoyed the good and company. Carers were respectful, and the other staff cleaning and catering were lovely and always used her name and chatted
to her. Overall, a good experience.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care and immaculate service provided by Rokewood Court Care Home. The attention and compassion shown to my mum, who has a unique condition involving both MS and dementia, has gone far beyond anything I could have hoped for. The management and care team have not only
gone above and beyond for my mum, but have also extended genuine care and support to me as well. Their professionalism, empathy, and dedication have made a profound difference in both of our lives. I'm deeply grateful.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming (everyone says hello as you walk by), caring and professional. From senior carers to admin staff to Reception, we have had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Rokewood Court if you need a care home for a relative. It feels like a hotel with care
if you need it. This has been a great transition from having carers at home. And the food looks amazing! A safe and secure environment with very supportive staff. Any questions or queries dealt with quickly and efficiently.

All the staff have been really supportive and kind to me whilst I was considering a care home for my mother. This has been the best decision I have made during quite a difficult time. My mother is much happier and less anxious than she was at home. We have no hesitation in recommending Rokewood Court

From walking through the front entrance into reception the atmosphere is very friendly and obviously very professional. From receptionists, to carers who attend to everyday matters to the senior care teams. Looking after our more medical requirements you are able to get quality answer to many questions
with a smile altogether a very good team.

I've visited this lovely home several times in the last few weeks, always "unplanned", and the welcome from all staff has been 5*. Nothing is too much trouble, always friendly, and have time for the residents. A real "family" feeling there!
Such a relief to know that my relative is happy, safe, and
looked after so well. The food is lovely, always cakes and biscuits in the cafe area, and the gardens are beautifully kept! Thank you.

I stayed at Rokewood Court Care Home for two weeks from Thursday 19 September to Wednesday 2 October 2024 for respite care after a rotator cuff repair operation. I needed personal care (showering, hairwashing, dressing) which I was very nervous about but the kind and helpful carers made the daily experience
a pleasant one. The care home was clean and friendly and well-designed for comfort. Too many to name but everyone from the managers to the cooks, carers and other staff made my 2 weeks a happy time.

My mum is on the second floor and every time I visit, I truly feel that this is her home, a place where she is comfortable and well-cared for. I also feel incredibly supported during each visit. I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to the dedicated and caring staff.
She enjoys the
entertainment and it is lovely to see her joining in with clapping and waving her arms.
From the moment I enter the reception, I am always made to feel so welcome. The environment creates such a positive and comforting atmosphere.
Everyone is incredibly helpful and goes out of their way to assist me.
Thank you for all that you do.

Our mum moved into Rokewood in July 2024. We cannot thank the staff enough for all that they have done to help her settle and also for the continuous support they gave us during this journey. It was a hard decision to move her from her home to a care home, but it is definitely the right place. We are
made to feel very welcome all the time we go in and nothing is too much of a problem. Mum is always clean with fresh clothes on and her room is beautiful. We were able to take in items from her home and put up pictures on the walls. Thank you Rokewood, we can now relax knowing that our mum is in a safe, caring and wonderful home.

My husband spent 2 weeks in Rokewood to give me some respite, having cared for him since his brain injury 6 years ago this very day.
From the point of entry to departure, he felt safe (paramount), well cared for and happy.
Staff were present when needed and all were very happy in their roles. His
room was lovely though as a wheelchair user, I think the next visit would mean less furniture needed so his wheelchair could navigate the room if required though he managed to walk around the furniture during his stay. Having access to all TV streaming services was a plus, a nice outlook and swift access to the coffee area to meet visitors, the lovely restaurant area and the reception. Friends and family could visit easily and enjoy the area. There was plenty of activities to take part in if he wanted to. Well definitely utilise Rokewood again. A very well-managed home that I would recommend. Thank you Rokewood.

Mum was diagnosed with dementia about five years ago and spent some time having drop-in care and then a live-in carer. A couple of years ago we decided that it was time for her to move to a home close to where she lived (so that her friends could visit her). She was happy at Rokewood and was being well
looked after. The staff all knew how she was and clearly took time to keep her cheerful.

I can’t recommend this care home highly enough! Having visited a lot of homes which simply make me feel quite depressed upon leaving, Rokewood Court is the first home that fills you with a sense of calm and happiness. Upon arrival, the home appears more like a luxury hotel and has a lovely well-kept
garden. The staff are amazing and so friendly and welcoming. You can see they go the extra mile for every resident. Having spoken to other visitors when there, everyone seems in agreement that this home is far superior to others in the area. Keep up the good work Rokewood Court!

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.741)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.741) out of 10 for Rokewood Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.866 for Rokewood Court is calculated as follows: ( (158 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 179 Ratings = 4.866
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rokewood Court is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

General Manager – Residential Care Home

As the General Manager of Rokewood Court, I lead with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. My role is to ensure every resident feels safe, respected, and truly at home. I oversee all aspects of the home’s operations—from nurturing a high-performing team to upholding the highest standards of care—so families can rest assured their loved ones are in capable, caring hands.

My Experience

With a career dedicated to care home management, I bring deep expertise in person-centred care and team leadership. I’ve worked closely with residents, families, and staff to create environments where dignity, empathy, and well-being are at the heart of everything we do. I’m passionate about developing my team, fostering a culture of kindness and professionalism, and ensuring every resident receives both the practical support and emotional connection they deserve. Helping people live fulfilling, comfortable lives isn’t just my job—it’s my calling.

About Me

Away from work, I’m a devoted family person and a lover of travel and creativity. I find joy in drawing and caring for my lively household of pets—including Simba the cat, Gonzo the tortoise, and a flock of cheerful chickens. They remind me daily of the importance of warmth, character, and connection—values I bring into the home I manage.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2022

I qualified as a teacher in 2005, but my path changed in 2012 when I came to the UK and started working in the care sector as a care assistant. I have experience in both nursing and residential care homes which enabled me to gain more in-depth knowledge of differing care needs. I’m a great believer that no two residents are the same and that each has differing needs, desires and preferences.

I have developed through training and practice and besides being a care assistant, I have been an activity coordinator, and a team leader and I currently have over 3 years of experience as a Deputy Manager.

My biggest achievement to date has been occupying a position as Acting Manager in my previous workplace. It was a very rewarding position, full of new challenges from which I have learnt a lot and gained a good understanding of the management role in a care home which I look forward to bringing to Rokewood Court. I am currently working on my Leadership and Management level 5 Diploma, and I am using every opportunity to share my experience with the team and to get involved in our resident's care. I am very passionate about elderly and Dementia care which I aim to pass on to the rest of the team. The reason I started working with Rokewood Court and Cinnamon Care Collection is that we are all united and share the same values: passion, dedication and respect. I look forward to meeting you.

What I Do

I help families and potential residents navigate the deeply personal and often emotional journey of considering a care home for their loved ones. With empathy and professionalism, I provide guidance, answer questions, and offer reassurance during what can be an overwhelming time. I consider it a true privilege to support people through such significant life decisions.

My Experience

Before my current role, I worked at Eden Court in Battersea for Cinnamon Care Collection, where I had the opportunity to support families and residents in a care home setting, further developing my understanding of the emotional and practical considerations involved in choosing the right care environment.

Before entering the care sector, I worked as a sales consultant in luxury senior living in London. This experience helped me develop strong communication skills, a deep understanding of people’s needs during transitional life stages, and the ability to guide clients through complex, often sensitive decisions — all of which have transferred into my current role.

Outside of work, I love spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, and making the most of any opportunity to travel. These moments keep me grounded and remind me why human connection is at the heart of everything I do.

WHAT I DO

I specialise in creating refined, nutritionally balanced culinary experiences that combine the vibrant flavours of the Mediterranean with the precise dietary requirements of our residents. My approach transforms fresh, seasonal ingredients into elegant, health-focused cuisine that celebrates both nourishment and the pleasure of dining. Every dish is thoughtfully designed to be visually striking and deeply flavourful.

MY EXPERIENCE

With over seven years of experience in the luxury care home sector, I have developed strong expertise in high-end hospitality. My culinary foundation is deeply influenced by the rich food traditions of Albania and Greece, where I cultivated a profound respect for authentic Mediterranean techniques and ingredients.
This heritage enables me to bring a distinctive sophistication to professional kitchens, while consistently upholding rigorous standards of nutrition, food safety, and dietary compliance. I am experienced in catering to those with diverse clinical needs, without compromising on creativity, flavour, or presentation.

ABOUT ME

Born in Albania and raised in Greece, I bring the warmth, generosity, and hospitality of the Balkans into every kitchen I lead. I firmly believe that exceptional food is fundamental to well-being, particularly within a care environment.
Beyond my professional work, I am passionate about preserving heritage recipes and continuously exploring innovative ways to harmonize traditional Mediterranean flavour with contemporary fine-dining techniques.
