My mother recently moved to Rokewood Home from another local care home, and from the moment she walked through the front door and met the lovely Kelly, who was so warm and welcoming, she immediately felt at home.
All the carers, catering staff and maintenance team have gone out of their way to make her feel welcome and cared for. What has really stood out to us as a family is that this level of care has not just been for the first few days, as can sometimes happen when someone new arrives. Now, four weeks on, the same kindness, attention and genuine care are still very much there.
It is clear that the team genuinely care about their residents, taking the time to get to know them and making sure they feel comfortable, valued and at home. As a family, it is such a comfort to know that Mum is being so well looked after.

I qualified as a teacher in 2005, but my path changed in 2012 when I came to the UK and started working in the care sector as a care assistant. I have experience in both nursing and residential care homes which enabled me to gain more in-depth knowledge of differing care needs. I have worked in many roles within the hospitality industry. I was Hospitality Manager at HM Treasury for 5 years, overseeing events at Downing Street.
