My wife spent a long time looking for a care home for her 90+ year old mother, and after much research decided on Rokewood Court. I must say that everything so far has exceeded our expectations. It certainly fits the description of a luxury care home and the facilities and food are what you would expect
from a quality hotel. It was a major disruption for her mother, as she had lived in the same house for 40 years and is very independent-minded. They have gone to great lengths to settle her in and make her feel cared for and pampered. We would like to thank all the staff for all that they are doing to manage this difficult transition. This has clearly been a very difficult time for my wife. She was given a lot of helpful advice and support from the admissions advisor on care options and invaluable help on managing the move. The admissions advisor and the other staff have kept my wife well informed and reassured on progress. They clearly see it is important to support both residents and their family. Thank you!

I have been visiting at the home since November 2020 when she arrived there. Unfortunately, I have not been into the home due to Covid restrictions but the staff have enabled me to see from outside her room. Everyone I've met have been so friendly and helpful.
Reply from Jackie Cridlin, Home Admissions Advisor at Rokewood CourtThank you very much for your kind response, Amanda. The team at Rokewood Court will do their best to ensure their residents have regular contact with their family and friends.

All aspects of my contact and communication with staff at Rokewood Court have been excellent. I have been impressed with the way in which an assessment was carried out prior to the moving, in particular, to ensure all needs would be met. The care and organisation of the move. Communication from the
staff to ensure I was informed/reassured that all was well. Extra touches such as flowers in the room and a photo of my relative was emailed to me on arrival day. The direct line to residents is excellent, and the reception desk is well managed so all immediate queries can be answered quickly. It seems nothing is too much trouble. Staff have been east to talk to, professional and always respond well/quickly to any question - most reassuring. Thank you.

My mother is fairly mobile and still has an active mind, so she was worried about moving into care. Now in her late 90's, she has suffered a few falls and needed a place of safety. Rokewood is everything she hoped it would be - good care, friendly staff, well-equipped room, excellent food and a chance
to do more than just sit at home, falling asleep.
Reply from Jackie Cridlin, Home Admissions Advisor at Rokewood CourtHello Stephen, Thank you very much for your kind words. We are delighted that mum is living with us, what a wonderful lady! we truly appreciate that Rokewood Court was your care home of choice.

I have found the staff very helpful and pleasant. They are concerned that all is as wells as possible and the take time to talk when it is convenient. My room is bright, and although I have a wheelchair, they manage to move me so I can for lunch or group activity.

Rokewood Court care home is a beautiful place; it's a home from home environment. From the first minute you enter the building, you are greeted by happy, smiling staff who are willing to go that extra mile. A home is not just about the building; it's about the outstanding care and devotion to its residents.
The employees are all personable people, the staff are very caring and passionate, always thinking outside the box making their job a true vocation.

My friend has been welcomed there with open arms. They made sure her stay will be as much like home as possible even suggesting photos of the family be brought in ready for her arrival day, the whole process was clearly explained and the day of the move went without a hitch. Since being there my friend
has been treated impeccably and is clearly much happier. The set up with visits is lovely and easy which makes a massive difference. 5-star care home.

I cannot recommend this home highly enough. The quality of staff and the standard of care and support provided is amazing. My neighbour has settled in very quickly, and in her own words, "really loves it". It is very reassuring to know that she is being so well cared for and so well stimulated with
activities, fun and enjoyment. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff at Rokewood.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.741)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.741) out of 10 for Rokewood Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.866 for Rokewood Court is calculated as follows: ( (158 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 179 Ratings = 4.866
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rokewood Court is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

General Manager – Residential Care Home

As the General Manager of Rokewood Court, I lead with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. My role is to ensure every resident feels safe, respected, and truly at home. I oversee all aspects of the home’s operations—from nurturing a high-performing team to upholding the highest standards of care—so families can rest assured their loved ones are in capable, caring hands.

My Experience

With a career dedicated to care home management, I bring deep expertise in person-centred care and team leadership. I’ve worked closely with residents, families, and staff to create environments where dignity, empathy, and well-being are at the heart of everything we do. I’m passionate about developing my team, fostering a culture of kindness and professionalism, and ensuring every resident receives both the practical support and emotional connection they deserve. Helping people live fulfilling, comfortable lives isn’t just my job—it’s my calling.

About Me

Away from work, I’m a devoted family person and a lover of travel and creativity. I find joy in drawing and caring for my lively household of pets—including Simba the cat, Gonzo the tortoise, and a flock of cheerful chickens. They remind me daily of the importance of warmth, character, and connection—values I bring into the home I manage.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2022

I qualified as a teacher in 2005, but my path changed in 2012 when I came to the UK and started working in the care sector as a care assistant. I have experience in both nursing and residential care homes which enabled me to gain more in-depth knowledge of differing care needs. I’m a great believer that no two residents are the same and that each has differing needs, desires and preferences.

I have developed through training and practice and besides being a care assistant, I have been an activity coordinator, and a team leader and I currently have over 3 years of experience as a Deputy Manager.

My biggest achievement to date has been occupying a position as Acting Manager in my previous workplace. It was a very rewarding position, full of new challenges from which I have learnt a lot and gained a good understanding of the management role in a care home which I look forward to bringing to Rokewood Court. I am currently working on my Leadership and Management level 5 Diploma, and I am using every opportunity to share my experience with the team and to get involved in our resident's care. I am very passionate about elderly and Dementia care which I aim to pass on to the rest of the team. The reason I started working with Rokewood Court and Cinnamon Care Collection is that we are all united and share the same values: passion, dedication and respect. I look forward to meeting you.

What I Do

I help families and potential residents navigate the deeply personal and often emotional journey of considering a care home for their loved ones. With empathy and professionalism, I provide guidance, answer questions, and offer reassurance during what can be an overwhelming time. I consider it a true privilege to support people through such significant life decisions.

My Experience

Before my current role, I worked at Eden Court in Battersea for Cinnamon Care Collection, where I had the opportunity to support families and residents in a care home setting, further developing my understanding of the emotional and practical considerations involved in choosing the right care environment.

Before entering the care sector, I worked as a sales consultant in luxury senior living in London. This experience helped me develop strong communication skills, a deep understanding of people’s needs during transitional life stages, and the ability to guide clients through complex, often sensitive decisions — all of which have transferred into my current role.

About me

Outside of work, I love spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, and making the most of any opportunity to travel. These moments keep me grounded and remind me why human connection is at the heart of everything I do.
