It's still early days -my Mother has been at Rectory Court for 3 weeks - but so far we have had a very good experience. The activities they offer are varied and interesting, including trips out to Greenwich Park and Oxleas wood, as well as things like choir and carpet boules. I"ve been impressed
with the carers too, all are good, but some have gone the extra mile in connecting with her and making her feel at home. The food and interiors in general feel quite like you are in a small hotel. They have a great coffee machine and baked goods for residents and visitors to sample. The garden is also beautifully manicured and gives the residents a lot of joy in the summer months.

My mother has been a resident for over a year. During that time her overall health has improved as a result of the regular care. The staff maintain a high standard of comfort in the surroundings. A lovely garden is good to sit in when weather is nice. Meals are served in lovely dining rooms in a genial
atmosphere. An impressive range of activities are provided, from group activities to outings and film showings. There is a piano, a choir, and musicians often visit. Having lived independently until the age of 96, I can't imagine her having settled anywhere better. The care staff do everything they can to respect her and make her comfortable. It feels like a very nice small hotel.

Mum is cared for, but at the same time her life is not regimental. There is freedom for her to join, or not, of many activities. The relatives are also free to come and go as we see fit. There are also activities that involves friends and relatives to come and join. Last Christmas, there was the wonderful
show put on by the residents, relatives and staffs. We look forward for more to come. The staff are wonderful and friendly. Well done everyone!

Mum and our family have had a very positive overall experience whilst living and visiting at Rectory Court. Mum has taken full advantage of the many activities on offer. It is a very welcoming and friendly home and whilst there are many different residents in the community, each is able to be themselves
and be treated with care and dignity. The activities coordinator works hard to include everyone and individualise activities where necessary to meet residents' needs and interests. Our concerns have been few but we have found staff quick to respond when necessary.

I cannot recommend Rectory Court Care Home highly enough. It is such a beautiful environment and the staff are all so caring. My mother has been very happy there and I love going round to visit because of the wonderful happy atmosphere. They run a fantastic activities program which is thoughtful and
stimulating. They have talks, live music, regular excercise, bookclubs painting just to name a few. There is a beautiful garden for them to spend time in and the food is wonderful and freshly cooked on the premises. I can't praise it highly enough.

My mum spent just over a year at Rectory Court. We visited several other local care homes but rectory court was the only one where the staff seemed engaged and friendly, and where the environment was friendly and welcoming. The range of activities is great and they are always open to considering different
and new ones, the food choices are lovely, the carers and other staff are really friendly and seem to genuinely care about you and your family member. They were always quick to respond to any issue I had. In her final months, where she was receiving end of life care, I could not have been happier with how she was treated and the efforts made to make her more comfortable and to help me feel happier in the process.
My only tiny quibble is with the facilities in the room. Although the majority of people at the home have some sort of mobility problem the toilet is a normal height with no handle on the wall, though one was fitted on request.Other than that I can't praise it highly enough

My mother came to stay at the care home after a short stay in the hospital. She stayed for just over a month and the care and kindness with which she was treated was really wonderful and very comforting. The staff were attentive, jolly and welcoming to her and us and were professional and efficient
too. The food was excellent, very fresh and varied. Mum enjoyed the garden, the company of the other residents and the fact that there was lots going on even if she wasn't able to participate in all of it. I really think it's a lovely place and is made as homely as is possible for a care home setting.

When my father arrived in April he was extremely ill and couldn't live independently any more. He was met by a lot of kind and warm people at Rectory Court. The level of care is very high and people always respond to my queries and his needs to make his stay very positive. The regular GP visits and
access to the district nurses have been invaluable. The activities are varied and creative and he makes the most of them. Friends and family are always given a warm welcome.

Due to unforeseen circumstances my mother had to be put into the care system. The team at Rectory Court were incredibly understanding and helpful. They offered care and support for my mother who thrived in their care. All of the staff were welcoming, helpful and cared for my mother which I cannot thank
them enough for. The facilities within Rectory Court were excellent, the garden offered an outside space for my mother to wander about enjoying the flowers and tranquillity. The food and dining rooms were top quality enabling my mother to enjoy food again, especially the presentation. Her room was comfortable and well proportioned with high-quality facilities within it giving her the type of rest she needed. My mother enjoyed the daily activities especially the dancing and the trip she attended and she praised the lady who organised the daily events highly. As the son who was faced with a difficult situation I could not ask for a better facility and team to look after my beloved mother.

My mother was a resident for 30 months I visited her on a regular basis. Each time I entered I felt at home all the staff knew me and almost became an 'extended family'. My mother was comfortable in this safe environment and well looked after by the caring and dedicated staff. I was always contacted
promptly if there had been any 'medical issues etc.'
The entertainment was great as was the staff member who organised the endless activities. Quiz evenings and fairs were fun and an opportunity to meet other families Birthdays were always celebrated in style.
The food was also good with plenty of options. Hot and cold drinks were readily available with a plentiful supply of cakes and biscuits. In my opinion, hygiene was of a high standard, everywhere was beautifully clean and the inhouse laundry service and staff were very efficient. Thank you to all the staff!

Without doubt, this place is amazing!
My lovely friend and neighbour moved here back in November and I can honestly say I have never seen her to happy and content.
She has made friends. She is busy every day with various activities. She has her appetite back. But over everything, she is happy and
feels safe.
The staff are amazing. They listen. They care. They know every resident very well and give them independence and dignity - nothing is too much trouble.
Well done to all the staff. Keep up the great work!

My father was looked after very well.
The staff are very attentive and kind, nothing was too much for them.
The food was good and presented well with the care home looking more like a luxury hotel but certainly felt like home to my father and family having great services with staff that became extended
family.
The reception was always very welcoming and had a great atmosphere.

Having visited many care homes, Rectory Court significantly surpasses all the others. From the cleanliness of the home to the quality of and care of the staff, everything is exceptional. The flexibility, concern and support of staff through the very challenging process of decision-making and organisation that has led to our friend joining Rectory Court Care Home for a trial period has exceeded our expectations. We are increasingly confident that it and the purposeful and warm care over
the last weeks have paved the way for a longer-term residence. We are optimistic that this will lead to a richer quality of life for her than would have been possible in her home where she lived alone with the support of home carers and a very supportive group of friends. Rectory Court extends a welcome to friends and relatives so this support can continue, made easier by the position near to a church.
Our friend’s journey to Rectory Court was complicated by her own uncertainty and delay after a fall at home which resulted in a hospital stay. This did not trouble the admission team and they were able to keep in touch with the hospital and arrange a welcome directly on discharge.

I’m the head chef here at Rectory Court I started as a 2nd chef and was delighted to become Head Chef; my role now is to work closely with my team and all our residents to provide a nutritional and healthy menu with the odd treat. I liaise with our residents to find out their likes and dislikes and provide an alternative meal of their choice if they wish. Me and my team will always aim to please and provide a good dining experience.


My Experience:
I have 6 years of experience working in catering and have enjoyed every moment, learning new things all the time. I have a BETEC level 2 in hospitality and catering and an NVQ level 2 in kitchen services and food safety.


About Me:

Before joining Rectory Court in 2024 I worked as a Back of House Manager in a few London-based restaurants for over 10 years. That experience sharpened my ability to manage operations efficiently, maintain health and safety compliance, and deliver high-quality service. Transitioning to maintenance management has allowed me to apply my organizational skills and technical expertise in a new yet equally demanding environment.


About me:

I have been with Rectory Court since it opened in October 2017. I worked initially as the full-time Receptionist before taking on the role of Administrator a few years ago.


I am responsible for Admin support at the Home – including HR and recruitment, payroll and finance. Working alongside two part-time admin assistants, we aim to provide a warm welcome to visitors, as well as support to the residents and wider Rectory team when required.

Most of my jobs have been forward-facing ones, and I enjoy working with members of the public. I have a vast amount of experience working in a range of administrative and customer-service roles.


About Me:

I am married and we have a son who we’re very proud of. Much of our spare time nowadays is spent walking our two lively dogs, which we thoroughly enjoy. I also like socialising with friends and going out for meals.

What I do:


As the Lead Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator at Rectory Court, I create weekly schedules focused on physical wellbeing, mental stimulation and social engagement. I organise a variety of activities, such as group exercises, music sessions, arts & crafts workshops and lot of interesting social events. Apart from activities inside the home, I organise trips out and visits outside into the community. All is aimed to bring our Residents joy and fun. Our program is based on the Residents interests so everyone can find something to enrich their lives, enabling the feeling of belonging and being valued.


My experience:


I studied at a Music Grammar School and I also hold a degree in Social Work & Social Pedagogy, which I studied in Prague. I mostly worked with children and young adults with behavioural difficulties and I aimed to improve their lives, supporting them through the challenges of living in group homes.


I have been working for Cinnamon Care Collection since 2016 and have been using all my experience and passion for helping people to create a good life for our Residents.
