Rectory Court Care Home

My husband is a resident at Rectory Court. The carers and all staff are dedicated and professional in all aspects. He is very comfortable in the well-planned facilities and is encouraged to join and enjoy the activities that are suitable for him. The general atmosphere is happy and engaged. I have been very grateful to have such a well-managed, supporting environment for my husband.

My mother came to stay at the care home after a short stay in the hospital. She stayed for just over a month and the care and kindness with which she was treated was really wonderful and very comforting. The staff were attentive, jolly and welcoming to her and us and were professional and efficient too. The food was excellent, very fresh and varied. Mum enjoyed the garden, the company of the other residents and the fact that there was lots going on even if she wasn't able to participate in all of it. I really think it's a lovely place and is made as homely as is possible for a care home setting.

When my father arrived in April he was extremely ill and couldn't live independently any more. He was met by a lot of kind and warm people at Rectory Court. The level of care is very high and people always respond to my queries and his needs to make his stay very positive. The regular GP visits and access to the district nurses have been invaluable. The activities are varied and creative and he makes the most of them. Friends and family are always given a warm welcome.

Due to unforeseen circumstances my mother had to be put into the care system. The team at Rectory Court were incredibly understanding and helpful. They offered care and support for my mother who thrived in their care. All of the staff were welcoming, helpful and cared for my mother which I cannot thank them enough for. The facilities within Rectory Court were excellent, the garden offered an outside space for my mother to wander about enjoying the flowers and tranquillity. The food and dining rooms were top quality enabling my mother to enjoy food again, especially the presentation. Her room was comfortable and well proportioned with high-quality facilities within it giving her the type of rest she needed. My mother enjoyed the daily activities especially the dancing and the trip she attended and she praised the lady who organised the daily events highly. As the son who was faced with a difficult situation I could not ask for a better facility and team to look after my beloved mother.

The food was also good with plenty of options. Hot and cold drinks were readily available with a plentiful supply of cakes and biscuits. In my opinion, hygiene was of a high standard, everywhere was beautifully clean and the inhouse laundry service and staff were very efficient. Thank you to all the staff!

My uncle has been at Rectory Court for 12 months now. He seems very settled and content. It is reassuring to know he is being looked after well and kept entertained as well. He definitely enjoys the food! I find the staff very helpful when I am asking about my uncle and when they are communicating with the family about his care.

Having visited many care homes, Rectory Court significantly surpasses all the others. From the cleanliness of the home to the quality of and care of the staff, everything is exceptional. My mother has been a resident for 2 years and can be challenging. In all that time all the staff and management have treated her with the utmost kindness and care.

Our friend’s journey to Rectory Court was complicated by her own uncertainty and delay after a fall at home which resulted in a hospital stay. This did not trouble the admission team and they were able to keep in touch with the hospital and arrange a welcome directly on discharge.

While still apprehensive, confused and bewildered and sometimes negative about her situation - with the enormous patience and calm, persuasive encouragement of all the dedicated and welcoming staff, there is real scope for optimism for her to have an interesting and stimulating living experience at Rectory Court.

My father has been a resident for some time. He has received very good care during that time. The staff are caring, friendly and helpful, not only towards my father but also towards his family. Staff keep us updated about any medical or other issues concerning my father and are very welcoming when we visit. There are plenty of activities and events, which keep him mobile, engaged and active. The home is always spotlessly clean, and there is a wide range of meals to choose from. I would be happy to recommend Rectory Court.

I have nothing but praise for this outstanding care home! My mother has been a resident here for 18 months now and she couldn’t be happier. The quality of care she has received is superb. They respect her privacy whilst allowing her to reside here on her own terms in an extremely safe and caring environment. The food is superb as are the daily activities on offer but there is no compulsion to join in if you don’t wish to. I would highly recommend this care home to any prospective client!

During this past year, he has been extremely well cared for by a team of people who are friendly, extremely caring and very knowledgeable with regard to the needs and wants of their residents. All of the staff are very approachable and helpful.

My uncle's partner moved into Rectory Court as one of their first residents. She had dementia, so when looking at homes it was extremely difficult to ensure I was making the right decision on her behalf. Well I did make the right decision. She settled in well and lived her best life, remaining herself to the end of her life. It was always ok to ask questions and to express worries, which were taken seriously. I felt very much like part of the Rectory family. The general manager is approachable, knowledgeable, caring and an effective leader. With the manager, you feel she really loves her role and everyone living at Rectory. She leads by example and has created a home with high expectations and standards, loving and caring as if everyone is her and her team’s family members.

On behalf of Dad and myself, we cannot thank you enough for all the wonderful care you have given to our relative over the past five years. She was very happy living at Rectory Court and it was always comforting for us to know how well she was being looked after. You were always available to speak to us or message us back and were very supportive, particularly during Covid. Nothing was ever too much trouble, for which we will always be eternally grateful. Even after her hospital stays, it was very reassuring to hear how well she had settled back in. It was an enormous worry off our minds. Your tireless care and endless compassion made all the difference in her life. You and your truly caring staff were always very welcoming and attentive to her needs and went the extra mile to help us. Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts, to a really great team for all your kindness and hard work.

Mum is a new resident, following a two week respite stay last year. She has settled in well and the staff were brilliant at helping us make the move smoothly and with care. The rooms and communal areas are spotlessly clean and stylish. The garden is lovely and activities are varied to suit all tastes. The party for the coronation was great. I would certainly recommend this care home.

I was a resident at Rectory Court for 2 weeks respite care in January 2023, together with my wife and we were very well cared for. The accommodation, communal facilities, the staff attention and the catering were all very well provide and can be strongly recommended.

My dad enjoyed his two-week respite stay and was made very welcome by staff and fellow residents. He was well cared for and enjoyed the excellent food. He was able to join in some of the activities but otherwise appreciated the different areas available for sitting and reading, dozing or chatting. The easy-access garden was a bonus, which would be particularly nice during warmer weather.

My mother enjoyed her stay at Rectory Court. She was very well cared for and found it a very comfortable and friendly home, with excellent food and a range of activities. It was very reassuring to know she was being well cared for while I was away for 2 weeks.
