The flexibility, concern and support of staff through the very challenging process of decision-making and organisation that has led to our friend joining Rectory Court Care Home for a trial period has exceeded our expectations. We are increasingly confident that it and the purposeful and warm care over
the last weeks have paved the way for a longer-term residence. We are optimistic that this will lead to a richer quality of life for her than would have been possible in her home where she lived alone with the support of home carers and a very supportive group of friends. Rectory Court extends a welcome to friends and relatives so this support can continue, made easier by the position near to a church.
Our friend’s journey to Rectory Court was complicated by her own uncertainty and delay after a fall at home which resulted in a hospital stay. This did not trouble the admission team and they were able to keep in touch with the hospital and arrange a welcome directly on discharge.

Initially, our expectation was to secure a room in Leah Lodge. Every contact with the management was professional, warm and encouraging. Sadly, our friend's condition, after being hospitalised after a fall in her home, required the more physical supportive care offered at Rectory Court Care Home. At
every stage prior to the subsequent change of home and eventual hospital transfer, the management and staff team at Rectory Court could not have provided a more comprehensive, friendly or understanding response and support to their new resident or her concerned friends.
In just under two weeks of beginning her residence in Rectory Court, the change to her physical comfort and appearance is marked.
While still apprehensive, confused and bewildered and sometimes negative about her situation - with the enormous patience and calm, persuasive encouragement of all the dedicated and welcoming staff, there is real scope for optimism for her to have an interesting and stimulating living experience at Rectory Court.

My father has been a resident for some time. He has received very good care during that time. The staff are caring, friendly and helpful, not only towards my father but also towards his family. Staff keep us updated about any medical or other issues concerning my father and are very welcoming when we
visit. There are plenty of activities and events, which keep him mobile, engaged and active. The home is always spotlessly clean, and there is a wide range of meals to choose from. I would be happy to recommend Rectory Court.

I have nothing but praise for this outstanding care home! My mother has been a resident here for 18 months now and she couldn’t be happier. The quality of care she has received is superb. They respect her privacy whilst allowing her to reside here on her own terms in an extremely safe and caring environment.
The food is superb as are the daily activities on offer but there is no compulsion to join in if you don’t wish to. I would highly recommend this care home to any prospective client!

My dad has been a resident of Rectory Court for over a year. He initially went in for respite care following a serious illness but stayed as it was obvious that living at home was no longer a safe and viable option.
During this past year, he has been extremely well cared for by a team of people who
are friendly, extremely caring and very knowledgeable with regard to the needs and wants of their residents. All of the staff are very approachable and helpful.

My uncle's partner moved into Rectory Court as one of their first residents. She had dementia, so when looking at homes it was extremely difficult to ensure I was making the right decision on her behalf. Well I did make the right decision. She settled in well and lived her best life, remaining herself
to the end of her life. It was always ok to ask questions and to express worries, which were taken seriously. I felt very much like part of the Rectory family. The general manager is approachable, knowledgeable, caring and an effective leader. With the manager, you feel she really loves her role and everyone living at Rectory. She leads by example and has created a home with high expectations and standards, loving and caring as if everyone is her and her team’s family members.

On behalf of Dad and myself, we cannot thank you enough for all the wonderful care you have given to our relative over the past five years. She was very happy living at Rectory Court and it was always comforting for us to know how well she was being looked after. You were always available to speak to
us or message us back and were very supportive, particularly during Covid. Nothing was ever too much trouble, for which we will always be eternally grateful. Even after her hospital stays, it was very reassuring to hear how well she had settled back in. It was an enormous worry off our minds. Your tireless care and endless compassion made all the difference in her life. You and your truly caring staff were always very welcoming and attentive to her needs and went the extra mile to help us. Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts, to a really great team for all your kindness and hard work.

Mum is a new resident, following a two week respite stay last year. She has settled in well and the staff were brilliant at helping us make the move smoothly and with care. The rooms and communal areas are spotlessly clean and stylish. The garden is lovely and activities are varied to suit all tastes.
The party for the coronation was great. I would certainly recommend this care home.

My dad enjoyed his two-week respite stay and was made very welcome by staff and fellow residents. He was well cared for and enjoyed the excellent food. He was able to join in some of the activities but otherwise appreciated the different areas available for sitting and reading, dozing or chatting. The
easy-access garden was a bonus, which would be particularly nice during warmer weather.

Relations had thoroughly checked out and met others who had been here previously; that considering my unmedical needs physically and personally, here would be very suitable for my needs at that time. I did not know this place previously but knew the area well having taught in the district as a very
young teacher years ago. I was not disappointed all my needs for health and welfare were provided for.

I enjoy living at Rectory Court. I enjoy the garden especially in Summer when we have events. I am also able to get the audio library books delivered every month and they come in a van and you can go and choose the books. I was able to bring my own furniture and lights for my room and my room feels

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.852)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.852) out of 10 for Rectory Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.902 for Rectory Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (195 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 215 Ratings = 4.902
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rectory Court Care Home is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 41 registered maximum number of service users is 8.2, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My team will always aim to please and provide a good dining experience.

My Experience:
I have many years of experience working in catering and have enjoyed every moment, learning new things all the time. I have a BETEC Level 2 in hospitality and catering and an NVQ Level 2 in kitchen services and food safety.

About Me:
When I’m not working, I spend time with my three sons and visiting my family, I like socialising with my friends and having a good meal out with somebody else cooking.

Job Title: Hospitality Services Manager Joined: 2025

What I Do:

As a Hospitality Services Manager, I oversee the operational side of the business, ensuring excellence across maintenance, hospitality, catering, and housekeeping. At Rectory Court and Leah Lodge, I lead these teams with a focus on delivering the highest standard of service for our residents, while upholding Cinnamon's values, standards, and procedures.

My Experience:

I bring extensive experience in customer service and luxury hospitality, having worked with both private households and leading companies in the UK and Sweden. A career highlight was contributing to the Nobel Banquets in Stockholm for three consecutive years—an invaluable opportunity to refine my skills in high-profile event management.
Over the years, I've held leadership roles in hotels, Selfridges, and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and worked closely with high-ranking diplomats, investment institutions, and ISS Facilities at the Cabinet Office Estate, including 10 Downing Street. There, I successfully delivered some of the most prestigious and complex events. My commitment to excellence has been recognised with the GEM Award for consistently going above and beyond—something I strive to achieve in every role.

About Me:

Originally from Poland, I spent several years living and working in Sweden before becoming a proud British citizen—one of the happiest milestones of my life. I'm passionate about travel, great food, and, above all, creating memorable experiences that bring joy to others.
