I arrived at Oakley Grange following a serious fall, resulting in a gractured collar bone. My reception was very professional and my first impressions were of entering a 5-star hotel. A bouquet of fresh flowers had been placed in my room and I was given every assistance to settle into my delightful
accommodation, by kind and courteous staff (all clearly well trained). My one week of respite care has enabled me to recover sufficiently to return home and look after myself. My thanks to all.
Reply from Judy Faulkner, Home Admission Advisor at Oakley Grange Care HomeThank you so much for your truly heartwarming 5-star review of Oakley Grange Care Home.
We're so pleased we could support you during your recovery. Arriving after a serious fall must have been challenging, and it means so much to know you felt welcomed, comfortable and well cared for from the very beginning. We're delighted that the flowers, surroundings and support from our team helped you settle in so quickly.
Your kind words about our staff will mean a great deal to them. They genuinely care about every resident, and it's wonderful to hear that their professionalism and warmth made your stay special.
Most importantly, we're thrilled that your week of respite care helped you regain confidence and independence to return home.
We hope to see you again soon, whether at one of our events or simply popping in for a cup of coffee. You'll always receive a very warm welcome here.

The level of effort and attention to detail the team employed in the activities and decorations at Oakley over the festive period were outstanding, particularly for the New Years Eve celebrations. My mom said they really had the "wow" factor.

Thank you to all the staff for making my mom's first Christmas

and New Year such a memorable time! It is highly appreciated.

Thanks so much to the incredible staff at Oakley looking after my father. It's not his first respite since having dementia but at Oakley we know he is content and living in luxury, a huge weight off our minds.

Every care home should strive to be as good as this, the staff are happy and exceptionally

kind and competent. They really get the most out of everyone

They have also been really flexible in the care. Thanks for all your help during a difficult time for us.

I recently stayed at Oakley Grange for a respite period following surgery. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and I was made to feel welcome, comfortable and cared for.
The staff are exceptional, friendly, professional and genuinely caring. Nothing was too much trouble, and they always
took time to make sure I had everything I needed. I would highly recommend Oakley Grange for a respite stay.

My father has been in respite care at Oakley Grange for the past few weeks whilst he is undergoing cancer treatment. It has been perfect for him. The home is calm and beautiful, like a luxury hotel. He has been able to spend time relaxing in his room, catching sunshine on his patio and watching sport
on his TV.
All staff without fail are wonderful, they are kind, considerate and treat him so well. They have tailored his needs to exactly what he he wants in every respect. The meals are five star, healthy and delcious. He has been able to gain some weight he had lost after hospital and there is no doubt that staying at Oakley has been the key to this.
The manager and her team of wonderful carers and staff are all highly professional and proactive, nothing is too much trouble. We are very lucky to have found Oakley Grange and highly recommend it.

I'm sorry for the delay in contacting you.
I want to thank you and the whole team at Oakley Grange for the help you gave to my wife during the ten days she spent with you following her hip operation.
I probably didn't meet everyone, but the colleagues that I did meet were, without exception, outstanding.
They were all positive and supportive and gave all their attention to ensuring that my wife and any visitors were left happy and relaxed.
I may have told you that friends of ours, who made a visit to see her, had previously visited another friend who had been in five different care homes and they said that none had measured up to Oakley Grange. My experiences of visiting my mother and sister, although they were well looked after, were similar.
My wife is improving, although the progress is, as expected, fairly slow.
I will always recommend your home to anyone who is looking for assistance.
Thank you again.

My review is as a resident having stayed for 20 days following hip surgery. Times do arise when you need extra care following surgery or an illness and that responsibility then falls on family and friends, I have an excellent caring family but I did not wish to put that responsibility on to them.
From
the first contact that I had with the home, it became clear the administration was excellent and the subsequent visit to my home by the deputy manager who is full of fun and laughter gave me the secure feeling that the approach to care was of happiness and I was not wrong in my judgement.
I spent 20 days radiated by excellent professional care both day and night always given with happiness by every member of the staff.
The food was excellent if I had eaten all that was available on the menu I would have put on another stone in weight.
It was with sadness that I returned home but I am pleased to say that my stay paid dividends and I was discharged from hospital.
I will be back!

My mother-in-law and father-in-law arrived at the beginning of September. They have settled in well and the care they have received is amazing care from the carers. All of the carers look after them, going beyond with massaging sore limbs, making coffee, shampooing and blow-drying hair. We as a family
feel reassured by how happy and settled they are.

Mum came to Oakley for respite care after a stay in hospital. As she suffers from Alzheimer's we were worried about how she would get on, especially at night. However, she settled very quickly thanks to the caring and friendly team, calm environment and beautiful comfortable room. The staff are all
lovely and Mum's health and wellbeing have improved significantly during her stay. She is well looked after, including hair and makeup pampering sessions! The atmosphere is sociable but not too loud and it's great chatting with staff, other residents and their families as well as being able to see Mum more often as she is close by.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (10.000)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (10.000) out of 10 for Oakley Grange Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Oakley Grange Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (262 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 262 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Oakley Grange Care Home is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 76 registered maximum number of service users is 15.2, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: General Manager

What I do
One of the most rewarding parts of my role as Home Manager is being able to make a genuine, positive difference to our residents’ lives, continually enhancing their experience in later life. I am equally proud of supporting and developing our team, helping each individual grow in confidence and progress in their career. Above all, my focus is on ensuring every resident receives the very highest standard of person-centred care within a safe, supportive and welcoming environment.

My Experience
My journey in the care industry began over 30 years ago, following a school work experience placement that sparked a lifelong passion for care. I started my career as a Care Assistant and quickly progressed to a Senior Care Assistant role, gaining invaluable experience across hospitals, community support and more specialised care settings. I later progressed into management, working as a Care Manager within a 106-bed residential home before going on to commission a new 70-bed care home during the Covid pandemic. More recently, I have managed a nursing home. These experiences have shaped my approach to leadership, enabling me to guide teams through challenging times, drive continuous improvement and foster a positive, supportive culture where both residents and colleagues can thrive.

About me
I enjoy spending time with my family by hosting big family gatherings, cooking together, and I love to travel and enjoy listening to reggae music. My children are my world, and I hope to raise them to be fair, respectful and open-minded individuals.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

What I Do
In my role as Deputy Manager, I support the General Manager in setting the standards for the home. I also work closely alongside the Team Leader, Senior Carers and the Care Team out on the floor to ensure there is quality in resident care. I like walking around the home, meeting the residents and the team and making sure all our residents have everything they need. I have developed strong relationships with our residents, relatives and other professionals. I also need to ensure the home meets the CQC requirements and the company’s aims and objectives. Job Title: Home Admissions Advisor

What I Do
As Home Admissions Advisor, I support residents and their families from their very first enquiry, guiding them through the process of choosing the right care with confidence and peace of mind. I provide clear information about our care options, facilities and the expertise of our team, ensuring families feel informed and supported at every step. Visiting Oakley Grange is the best way to experience the warmth of our home and meet our exceptional team. I also work closely with local professionals and community groups to ensure Oakley Grange remains firmly connected to the local community. The highlight of my role is meeting our residents and hearing the stories of their remarkable lives.

My Experience
My career began in the finance sector, where I progressed from Team Manager roles within large brokers and lenders to Operations Manager at GE Money. Although I am a qualified Mortgage Advisor, my career path changed following the financial crash, leading me into the care sector.

It was during my time supporting families at a pre-opening care home that I discovered a genuine passion for the care industry. Since then, I have worked with a number of healthcare providers, guiding and supporting families through what can often be an emotional and challenging journey with empathy, understanding and reassurance.

About Me
Outside of work, I have a love for music, especially live events. I enjoy everything from open-air concerts to tribute nights at the local pub, with my main wish being to get tickets for the Glastonbury Festival! I also enjoy art exhibitions, flower shows such as the Chelsea Flower Show, and simple pleasures like coffee and catch-ups with friends or quality time with family.

What I Do
I support individuals and families as they begin their care journey, offering guidance, reassurance, and a friendly face every step of the way. Another important part of my role, and one I enjoy immensely, is organising community events and support groups within the home. These events bring residents, families, team members and the wider community together to create meaningful moments for everyone.

My Experience
I joined Oakley Grange in October 2025 and have worked in the care sector since 2022. Before this, I built a successful career in event and hospitality management, as well as sales and marketing across a variety of genres, including within the charity sector. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I volunteered to support elderly and vulnerable people, which inspired my transition into care, a role where I could truly make a positive difference.

About Me
I’m a huge animal lover with two elderly cats and a fish called Wander. In my spare time, I plan events and parties for friends and family, including weddings and charity fundraisers. I also have a passion for all things vintage and enjoy upcycling furniture, even creating bespoke vintage pieces with my daughter to raise money for local charities.

What I Do
I am responsible for preparing nutritious and enjoyable meals for our residents while ensuring their individual dietary needs and preferences are met. For me, food is not just about nutrition; it is about comfort, dignity, and creating small moments of joy each day. The most rewarding part of my role is receiving positive feedback from residents at the end of service. Seeing their smiles and hearing that they enjoyed their meal makes the work truly worthwhile.

My Experience
Before joining Oakley Grange in 2025, I worked in other care homes where I gained valuable experience supporting residents with a wide range of needs, dietary requirements, and personal preferences. My experience in care settings has helped me understand how important good food is to residents’ wellbeing and daily happiness.

About Me
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. I like playing tennis and keeping fit whenever I can. I also enjoy going on road trips and exploring new places. One of the things I appreciate most about working at Oakley Grange is the amazing team in the kitchen. We have a strong team spirit, which creates a positive environment where it feels like more than just a job.

Job Title: Hospitality Supervisor Joined: 2026

What I Do
As Hospitality Supervisor at Oakley Grange, I oversee the day-to-day running of our hosts and hostesses, ensuring every resident enjoys a warm, welcoming and refined dining experience. My role is about more than service; it’s about creating meaningful moments that enhance our residents’ quality of life. I take pride in delivering an elegant, seamless hospitality experience within a luxury care setting, where comfort, dignity and attention to detail always come first.

Unlike many hospitality roles, my work carries real emotional meaning. I value building relationships with residents and their families, creating positive experiences, and being part of a team that genuinely cares about maintaining high standards.

My Experience
I joined Oakley Grange in January 2026 and bring with me around 10 years of experience within the health and care sector. My career has spanned domiciliary care and residential settings, progressing from Care Assistant to Senior, Care Coordinator, Junior Nursing roles, and Hospitality Leadership within luxury care homes.

It was in those luxury settings that my passion for hospitality was reignited, managing dining teams and delivering fine dining experiences that truly made a difference to residents’ everyday lives. This role allows me to combine my care background with my love of hospitality, all within an environment I know and genuinely enjoy.

About Me
Outside of work, life is wonderfully busy with three children, a cat, a dog, and a partner in the forces, so “hobbies” are more of a theoretical concept! When I do get the chance to relax, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and cheering on Birmingham City FC. After years of loyal suffering, they’ve finally become a team that’s actually fun to watch!
