My mother has settled well into Solent Cliffs. The staff are patient and kind to her. They learnt very quickly how to care for her as an individual. Any concerns the family have had (very few) are dealt with very quickly.

My Mum was transferred here in January from QA for care, due to a fall and becoming non weight bearing. M organised everything competently and was available to answer my many questions constantly. Mum's room was spotless and beautifully decorated. She was looked after with compassion and taken down
to the day room daily to socialise with the other residents. This was very important to her. N and V were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help mum settle in. Mum loved the food and quoted "This is not just food ..this is Solent Cliffs food!!"G and V provided an enjoyable and varied entertainment and activity programme which Mum joined in as enthusiastically . The carers were friendly, gentle and understanding especially M (J) who was very kind to mum. Mum was very confused at times but she was treated with dignity. A big thank you to everyone and mum is looking coming back for respite soon.

Although my dear dad only spent the last two weeks of his life here, he was treated with dignity, respect and was shown great care and kindness. I cannot fault any of the staff from the manager right down to the lowest orderly. Always ready to listen and answer any questions or concerns and to
comfort me as well as my dad. They are very empathetic, showing a true understanding to my dads needs as well as showing care and professionalism at all times. Every member of staff have shown me and my family great care and kindness at this difficult time.

My mum has been a resident at Solent Cliffs for the past 3 years. During this time, the level of care, support and kindness has been amazing. The professionalism shown by everyone has been such a reassuring thing, and the smiles and engagement of the staff, each visit and on the phone so welcoming.
Mum recently passed away, and the kindness, advice, support and care shown was again above and beyond. We couldn't have asked for more from everyone at Solent Cliffs. Hayley and the team are the best, and we can't thank them enough.

Me and my family never expected to be writing another review 9 years after Mum first went to live at Solent Cliffs a very poorly lady , on discharge from hospital, to receive what the hospital described as end of life care. Her health conditions were stabilised by the care at Solent and in her first
years she was able to enjoy her new home and join in activities and the friendship of the nurses and carers. With age she now can not see or hear very well and has dementia which have all sadly deteriorated. It is hard for us all and her at times but the care she has, the dignity and the love showed to her through all stages of her progressive illnesses have never waivered,.hence a few weeks ago she reached 100 years old and despite no partying , she had a sleepy day, Solent made her day very special , her room sparkled just like the love and dedication of all..Thank you

My son was at Solent Cliffs for an assessment period and to receive nursing care. The home is very well managed with staff, who all care about the residents and cannot be faulted with the care they provide. There has always been a happy and welcoming atmosphere with a cheery smile and attention to
detail. The nursing staff were excellent, communication with other staff was prompt, especially with sharing updated information. The home was always clean and welcoming. Activities provided to engage and entertain the residents.

We have always found all staff to be very professional and extremely friendly.
The care of the staff and the activities arranged cannot be faulted. We were always welcomed and always met with a very 'homely' attitude and nothing was ever too much trouble. It is such a relief knowing mum is in a
safe place and very well cared for - thank you!!

I was told by a friend, when looking for a care home, not to look at the flash surroundings, or facilities, but to look to see if the staff are happy at work. And I would recommend this to anyone now.
The staff at my Dads' nursing home are amazing, they go beyond what is expected of them to look
after the residents. They truly do care. They know all the residents individually, knowing their likes and dislikes and notice if they are slightly off colour. They are also wonderfully friendly to their visiting relatives and friends.
At my Dads last care home I would constantly be worrying about him and I always seemed to have one issue or another with the care he was receiving, but here, I don't worry about his care, I know he is being well looked after. Its such a relief to know this. I can't recommend this home enough!

After a terrible ordeal in hospital came to this nursing home. What an amazing place! Clean and tidy. Staff who are caring, committed and experienced in the care of the residents! Nothing is too much trouble, attended to 24/7. All of the staff are focused and work well as a team, which is good for
me. Lots of weekly activities, catering for all needs. Beautiful garden to sit in and chat to other residents. Food is excellent, chef will cook anything that you want. Well run by the manager.

We are very thankful for your compassionate & professional care of our father. Although his time was only a brief one with you, we know he was happy. He learnt to smile again.

My brothers and I have been impressed by the welcome and warmth shown to our brother since his arrival in the summer. Despite his dementia, he has regained some speech after several years previously when he was unable to say much at all. We are sure this is due to the stimulating activities provided
by the care home. We've also noted that his awareness and concentration have improved. All the staff are such caring and understanding people. He could not be in better hands. His bedroom has room for all his books and the maintenance staff kindly put up his favourite pictures. We can visit at any time we want and are always made very welcome indeed. We could not be more delighted with Solent Cliffs.

My sister, my husband and I were overwhelmed by the kindness, warmth and consideration that was shown to us and of course my dad. He was only in their care for 5 days but all they did for us all was exceptional. The home is a well-run establishment and all the staff have shown us such sympathy and
understanding and indeed empathy. We are so glad Dad ended his days in such a wonderful home.

My sister recently arrived at Solent Cliffs Nursing Home from a care home in another area. From the outset, she was welcomed with a smile and reassurance from all staff. Staff appear happy and caring, treating residents with dignity and respect. My sister has now accepted help with personal care
something she refused at her previous care home although it was needed. It's been good to see her begin to participate in some of the activities especially music events as music is her passion. I feel now I can relax knowing that my sister is safe and being looked after in a caring and thoughtful manner. Thank you to the Solent Cliffs team for all they do. It's a happy and caring environment.

This care home is truly a wonderful place, not only do all the staff care for residents but they also make sure the relatives and visitors are cared too. They are so very understanding of the big changes families are going through and are ready and willing to help in every situation. This place is
very clean, organised and extremely friendly.

I am overwhelmed by the kindness and understanding displayed by all staff. This home is more like home in every sense of the word. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. It is extremely clean. The staff put residents and families a total ease. The food is incredible. The residents are very safe and
loved! I love it here.

I trust my parents are well cared for, their varying needs being met, particularly as a couple. The staff understand my parents and their interaction/relationship of their marriage, which can sometimes be a challenge! I feel that they are treated accordingly with sensitivity and understanding. And I
feel that I am cared for in equal measure. Thank you.

My sister received end-of-life care in the Solent Cliffs Nursing Home for three weeks in January 2024. I was very impressed with the level of care shown to my sister. She was treated with care and respect and enjoyed the entertainment every Friday/Wednesday. I wish to thank several of the staff,
including the manager, for their care to my sister.

My husband is being very well looked after by all staff. When I visit I'm able to take our dog in as well, which he looks forward to. He is blind so being able to touch and feel the dog gives him much comfort and most of the staff enjoy seeing her and make a fuss, which she loves.

After reviewing 15 other care homes and a poor experience for 4 months at a purpose-built home, we placed Mum in the Solent Cliffs Nursing Home. We can honestly say that we wholeheartedly agree with the 5-star reviews already given to the home. All the staff from the nurses, carers, activity
co-ordinators, domestic and not least catering, are highly capable, proactive, kind and attentive. We were looking for a home that would support my mum's Dementia, Incontinence, Macular degeneration, worsening mobility issues and increasing nursing requirements. Solent Cliffs is excelling in supporting all of these conditions whilst keeping her safe, engaged and interacting with other residents and staff. The last 2022 Care Quality Commission assessment does not reflect the excellent standards that are now operating under the leadership of the care home manager. For the first time since Mum moved into a care home, we now have peace of mind that she is being looked after properly.

My mother required a nursing home placement following a nasty fall and a period of time in hospital. She was physically and emotionally fragile and totally overwhelmed by events. When she arrived at Solent Cliffs the staff were welcoming, helpful, kind and professional. They all took time to get to
know my mother and to make her feel safe and cared for. My mother had wounds which needed nursing care and monitoring. The nursing staff were attentive and her wounds healed well. Staff were responsive to our requests and available to answer questions. Visitors were always welcomed with a smile. The team ethic is strong; staff have good relationships with each other and this is reflected in their care for the residents. Their practices are consistent and resident-focused. Staff interaction with residents was always positive, even on busy days, the needs of the residents were their priority. I felt reassured my mother would be safe. We very much appreciated the use of the coffee lounge and its outlook on the beautifully tended garden; the colourful flower displays were truly an aid to well-being and recovery. Thank you.
We wish to extend our grateful thanks to everyone at Solent Cliffs. This was a funded placement - I don't know the costings for this home. I would just like to mention that the toilet in my mother's room was extremely low - she often struggled to get on/off unless supported. I would have expected that the toilets would be raised or a taller style, to make using it easier for residents likely to have mobility problems. At home, we have installed a toilet which is 50 cm at seat height.
