View full details of Sutton Manor Residential HomeStaff and management always friendly good clean facilities. Mum is happy here.
Since admission to Sutton Manor mum as now settled in. Now joins in activities that's all thanks to Steve the activity worker. More comfortable now with Steve and fellow residents and staff.
My Mum first stayed at Sutton Manor for respite care three years ago before successfully returning home. She went back into Sutton Manor permanently in the last year, eventually for end of life care. The staff are lovely and caring. Karen, the home manager, is amazing. There are several activities every week, with frequent visits from entertainers, craft activities, and even (very gentle) sport if you want. The healthier residents go on trips too, and during summer there's a pop-up pub on site! The staff know the residents well. The best rooms are absolutely lovely. The food is good and they met my Mum's specific dietary needs well, helping her to gain back weight she had lost after she had not eaten well in her own home. There are three homes on the same site, with Sutton Manor seeming to be in the middle in terms of residents' needs/abilities. End of life care was very sensitively and thoughtfully handled, with lots of love and care.
My father moved into Sutton Manor and was there for a few months after becoming unable to live on his own. Sutton Manor provided the safety and care that dad needed from moving in to passing away. The staff and management of the home are dedicated, caring, knowledgeable and skilled in the care they provide. But they are also lovely people who take great personal care to look after the residents needs in the best way possible. We look back on dad's time at Sutton Manor as being short but he could not have been in a better place to meet his needs.
Very good care and polite staff made grandma very happy and to feel at home.
My mother in law has been very happy and settled, the staff are fantastic, very helpful and understanding.
So pleased we chose this home for dad's final few months. From initially being shown around the home until dad passing away we couldn't have been more pleased with the care and attention he received. Nothing was too much trouble and any issues or concerns were acted on. Dad was treated with dignity and respect and his stay was made as comfortable as possible. The team were friendly and approachable and dad's and our wishes were acted on.
On every visit everything very consistent, which is good for Daniel. Staff very friendly and everything very clean. David has a good relationship with Steve which is excellent.
My nana always seems to be happy when I visit. She loves singing along with the music entertainment and the staff are always so friendly and treat nana so respectfully!
As a family who live miles away in Wiltshire, we are happy that mum is safe and cared for. Thank you. Can I add it is great to see mum doing her activities via social media. Thanks to the whole team.
When ever I come to see my sister, they are always doing things with the residents and everyone joins in. Well care for by all the staff who are all very friendly.
I have had a wonderful stay, the staff have been great one staff member in particular is one special nurse have been wonderful.
My aunty has been looked after really well and recuperated well. She's been looked after with respect & dignity. All the staff are very friendly & helpful & have good banter with the residents. She likes it so much that part of her doesn't want to go home. The actual building & outside decking area is lovely, clean & modern.
My Mum spent 8 weeks at Sutton Manor, whilst she recovered from surgery. We, as a family had no experience of Care Homes, so our expectations were modelled on what we thought they were like. We were all blown away with the care, consideration and compassion that was shown to my mum. She had a great time, and loved her time there. The food was great, and as my mum is a fussy eater, she asked them to cook different meals for her. This was done without hesitation. All the staff went the extra mile daily, nothing was too much trouble, they work so hard. One particular staff member encouraged mum to join in the activities, she loved it, and her confidence grew to the point she has come home a different person. I can highly recommend Sutton Manor to anyone, whether it's for long term or short term stays. It's a happy Care Home, where staff clearly adore the residents and want the best for them. I hope my Mum will be able to go back to stay for respite in the near future.
After a slow start, have warmed to the experience and appreciate the positive help from the carers and the activities coordinator.
Polite staff, great activities and opportunities for all.
Enjoy all the care and social side of life here. Mum has made an effort to mix and join in all the activities and has made her feel happy and give her some focus and joy. You have given my mum, good positive outlook and more choices. Her meals have been enjoyed and she's been encouraged to eat more! Thank you and all our love x
Enjoyed joining the activity, lovely food, company and staff were amazing. Really enjoyed the activity man help with other residents and help washing up.
I am really happy with the way my friend is cared for here. She is far more alert and engaged and now moves around without mobility and whilst in the home. The atmosphere is friendly and helpful. Entertainment throughout the day is great and my friend freely joins in. I wouldn't have my friend anywhere else. Thank you to all the staff.
We've seen such a positive change to dad's demeanour since he moved into Sutton manor. Despite not being able to see & being hard of hearing he has quickly fitted in to the social life of the home. He joins in & enjoys most of the activities arranged with a bit of help & loves a good sing song. Dad looks well looked after & eats well. There are a couple of things would make life even better for dad; firstly, if more carers could learn how to attach his prosthetic leg effectively (it is difficult), this would give him more confidence & secondly ensuring that dads skin is thoroughly creamed every day to combat his dry skin. Notwithstanding these comments, we are happy & more importantly dad is happy in the home.
