View Full Details of Aster CareMy elderly dad has been looked after by the team at Aster since mid-March and he is being very well cared for. The staff are superb with him and are very attentive to his needs. The 24/7 care that dad is receiving is also helping to give the family peace of mind as we know that he is in the right setting at this stage of his life. Our thanks to the team at Aster. Your dedication and care for dad is greatly appreciated.
My husband moved here in January and as a young adult needing care It was hard to find the right place. Then aster came along.. and wow they go above and beyond to meet my husbands needs. The activities they have are varied and regular. My husband also has 1-1 support to access the community. They really do cater to all needs. The meals are varied and lovely home cooked he thoroughly enjoys them and gets plenty. If there is something he doesn't like it's no trouble to get something else. All the staff in every area are friendly and caring and always smiling. I can sleep well at night knowing my husband is taken care off and kept safe at all times and more importantly he's happy and calls it home!
I visit my friend regularly, she is happy at Aster Care Home and all her needs are fully met. The staff are always helpful & friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. The home is always clean and tidy and other residents always seem happy too.
My cousin was in the care home for a few months, she suffered so much in those months - sexually, physically and verbally abused, she was frightened and scared. Often when we arrived to see her she could be heard screaming and no staff were seeing to her or talking to her to try and understand what was wrong, even if they were sat in the lounge area with her. It was always hard leaving her after a visit. I have noticed that reviews that are not 'good' on here receive an automated response, is anyone taking any notice ??
Staff were really helpful in sorting deputyship for family, all the informaton needed was provided. Staff went above and beyond, they are always on hand to help. My brother is really happy and content.
In the months that my niece was under their care she was physically abused twice! The fact that this can happen in a supposably safe and secure home is totally unacceptable. The care and attention was lacking to say the least. We could not wait for her to leave.
Our daughter moved to Aster Care 14th August 2024 & moved out 24th Feb 2025. While been in there she was sexually, verbally & physically abused causing her to be scared, frightened & traumatised, losing weight & hair loss. Twice when visiting in one week she was sat in wheelchair soiled and wet & we needed to change her, wheelchair cover & sling while staff were sat using their phones. A few times when we went she was in her room, door shut no tv or alexa on, screaming as she needed attention.
My daughter was moved into Aster Care Middlesbrough on the 14th August 2024. We were shown round beforehand and it appeared satisfactory. Within a few months she was seriously sexually, verbally and physically abused by two other residents (police were informed). No good safeguarding was put in place. The physically and verbally abuser is still wandering around the home now. She was regularly left in her room, door shut, shouting and screaming because she was frightened, as she was likely to be. I visited 3 times most weeks, travelling 90 miles each visit because I knew she wasn't getting the care she needed. Often she was soiled because half of the staff just didn't care. Most of the staff didn't make me welcome. Fortunately she moved on the 24th Feb 2025.
Aster Care keeps me informed of my sister. To know that she is safe and included in everything is such a reassuring feeling. All the staff are of the same brand - caring, kind, helpful and good communicators to residents and the families/visitors. The place is always well presented, clean with fresh aroma and good lighting/heating. The outside area has cover which is a bonus. Residents enjoy the outside greatly.
I have had a very pleasant experience with Asta Care Home. I was made to feel extremely welcomed and comfortable by all staff involved and nothing was too much trouble. My room was of an excellent standard, large and comfortable. The food has also been delicious, very happy.
I can’t fault the place, it’s like home from home. The staff are fantastic and friendly, things are never a problem for them. It’s clean and tidy, my room is clean, my bed is comfy. The food is good and enjoyable.
I am happy living at Aster Care Home. The staff are good and friendly and always helpful. I enjoy taking part in activities and there is a good range available. The food is ok and I enjoy it sometimes.
I have no complaints, I love living at Aster Care Home. The staff are supportive and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. All staff from management to kitchen staff, to domestics are all helpful. I don’t take part in activities as I don’t feel there is nothing to suit me.
Mam is comfortable. She needs 24 hour care but she is doing ok. Staff are very nice and provide anything she wants or needs. The home is clean and nicely decorated. When we first went to look around the first impression was very good
My grandad stayed here short stay, he was very well looked after. The staff were friendly and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. The home was clean and tidy. There was a good range of activities available although my grandad didn’t like to take part.
My mother spent her final weeks in Aster care home, on the Orchid suite, and several of the care assistants looking after her were lovely. I always felt comforted knowing she was being cared for by them. They built rapport with both me and my mam, showed sincere care and kindness. The manager was always willing to listen and help. Overall a well ran nursing unit with some great staff.
From the minute I came through the doors I was welcomed to the family. Yes, that is what my stay was like every single day. Despite being short staffed everyone at Aster had a smile and I didn't hear a moan or complaint. I know where I would want to go if I needed respite care again, my family at Aster Care Home.
Lovely home, staff are very polite and helpful. The activities lady is very good and took me to shops and was very helpful with having laundry service. I asked for a TV in my room and they got it straight away. The rooms are lovely. And there are six TV lounging rooms and my favourite is Aster cinema lounge, it’s in a vintage retro theme. The meals are very substantial and tasty. The deputy manager is very pleasant and helpful. It is a very large building and took me a while to get my bearings but getting to know my way now. Would come back again any day best environment ever, and I thank everyone for an enjoyable stay.
The staff were outstanding and couldn't have been more helpful. The person I was visiting looked comfortable and happy. The care was brilliant and it was good to know my friend was in good hands. Overall, it was lovely to see. I was very pleased with the management and the staff were a pleasure to converse with.
I’m happy living at Aster Care Home and still have the freedom to come and go as I please.
