View Full Details of Sandbeck HouseI received excellent service from the lovely carers. They went above and beyond their call of duty.
I can't fault it. She seems so happy and well looked after and she is safe here.
My mum has improved massively since staying at Sandbeck House. She's made friends, taken part in activities and generally seems much happier. The carers and staff are all lovely and nothing is too much trouble. So helpful. She was falling a lot at home and wandering at night. None of this since she's been here. It's a weight off my and the family's minds knowing she's being looked after so well.
What an incredible team, so caring & thoughtful. They all treat the clients with the upmost respect & dignity. Brilliant management, very motivated. Everyone seems really happy & postivitve. Could not ask for much more.
My brother lives at Sandbeck House and like many people he wanted to remain in his own little home for the rest of his days. In truth though he was not coping and that little home had become a bit of a prison. My brother was no longer able to venture far and he did not have a network of friends or family nearby. I think he knows that now he has a home where he is safe, warm and very well cared for. Sandbeck staff are great, friendly, patient, positive and hard working. My brother has mental illness, dementia and lots of physical issues so he is not an easy person to deal with but Sandbeck finds a way through all that. They understand him and that although he does like companionship, he often just needs some quiet time in his room. Thank you Sandbeck for all your care.
Staff lovley and friendley always able to help believe there could be better choices of food for redidents . On plus side my dad is settled has made friends probably happiest in years he has been. He is content so thst is the main thing.
My grandma is happy and has settled into life at Sandbeck. She's grateful for the lovely team - as are we. I don't live nearby but often hear about what's she's been up to, keeping busy and making friends. And she always has a sense of humour when I get to visit.
It's a lovely home. The staff really care for the residents and they go above an beyond to make it a home from home from for them. The food always looks lovely and smells delicious. They have activities most days and they take residents out and about regularly if they able to.
my friend was in hospital and i had to choose a home for him to go for rest bite.My first impressions were how caring and understanding everyone was.I am so pleased he has managed to be able to stay as now he has a life were before where he lives he had an existance. My fear is hese 90 years old this year and has diabetis and to fall with nobody there. The staff are lovely and very understanding i know he is safe and well cared for and ive never seen him look so happy and contented. He has a lovely room allways kept clean and tidy the residence are kept clean and they are fed very well.I dont feel worried at all when i have to leave i know he is very well cared for by everyone
Staff always friendly and welcoming. The staff are always approachable about Mum's wellbeing, and always caring. The cleanliness is always very important as the staff work really hard to keep Sandbeck looking good. I am truly grateful for everyone who puts the input into Mum's care. Thank you all.
My mother went into Sandbeck House after being discharged from hospital, initially for a short period,, she is now resident and we are extremely happy about this, she is thriving in there, we cannot thank the manager and all the staff enough, they are so caring and do an amazing job, there is always something happening to keep them occupied, would definitely recommend to anyone.
From the outset 10 months ago, the staff have been excellent with my mum. At times they have been challenged with changes in her behaviour but have always looked after and helped her day and night. Mum always remarks on how nice all the staff are which helps us as a family to know she is well cared for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sandbeck House to anyone. All the staff are a credit to the care home.
My dad didn't want to go for respite, but went and now he doesn't want to come home! So it must be making him happy. The staff are so friendly and really hard working. Everything is spotless and clean. I'm very happy my dad is in their care.
My mum spent the last 3 years in Sandbeck House. I was apprehensive about mum going into a nursing home to be honest, but my fears were unfounded the first time I went to see mum the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The manager was so informative and patient explaining the care side, medications and any medical procedures mum was going to have. The care mum got was exceptional and I could phone mum any time and even have face to face if I wanted to. When you walked into the home it was like walking into a big extended family the residents all seemed happy there was a lot of banter between staff and residents which was lovely, nothing was too much trouble and the staff was all very caring and patient towards the residents. Mum loved it there and I can't say thank you enough to the manager and her team.
To the management and all the team at Sandbeck, thank you so much for your outstanding care of my stepfather in the last few weeks of his life. He was only at Sandbeck for 3 weeks, but from the moment he came to you, to the moment he passed away, your level of care was over and above anything we could have hoped for. With us living so far away, you kept us well-informed between visits. He was very happy with you and as his condition deteriorated and hospice care was offered, all he wanted to do was stay in your care. You have an exceptional team! Thank you.
Efficient Staff who are very caring and friendly. Comfortable rooms, good food. Do activities with the patients to keep them active. The home is clean but could do with a coat of paint here and there.
My dad has lived at Sandbeck for a number of years now and always says there is nowhere else he'd rather live. The fact he considers it home says a great deal. I have always found the staff to be caring and compassionate - both with residents and loved ones; available to speak to, promoting open and honest conversations if there are any worries or concerns and making the time to listen, and respond to, the views of residents and their loved ones. My dad has always enjoyed the range of activities regularly organised - be they in-home or out-and-about. There are frequent themed events organised which loved ones are invited to and which are always enjoyed by all. In what must be at times a challenging and stressful sector to work in, I've always felt that the Sandbeck staff team prioritise patient care above all else; care that also extends to the loved ones of their residents.
My mom was left in the lounge all day and there were little no activities, they used the TV in replace of face-to-face contact. My mom was only there for one week's respite. She has come back in a very poor state, her mental health has suffered. The home was understaffed so she was not taken to the toilet when she needed and the home desperately needs renovation. My mom suffers from mobility and Parkinson's. I work all over the UK in care homes and hospitals. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever again.
I find the staff very friendly and approachable. Residents are not just plonked in a chair and left in the lounge. I visit at different times and there are always staff interacting with residents. The food always smells and looks appetising. The residents always look clean and the home itself is clean. My dad has dementia and I feel the staff have a good understanding of this cruel illness. They are very good with him. I, myself have been shown compassion and support - what a great team.
Before his death, my brother had seven good happy years at Sandbeck House Care Home where I frequently visited him for days out and reminisce times past in childhood. More recently I stayed at Sandbeck House following a period of hospitalisation. I cannot speak highly enough of the care, accommodation, management or staff.
