My Mum (94) moved into Sandbeck House last month. The staff made the transition really easy and have looked after her. Mums health and wellbeing is better than is has been for the last years. She is eating better, looking better and more calm and happy than before. The staff are attentive and
eager to look after the residents.
I highly recommend Sandbeck House and the staff there.

My mum went to Sandbeck for rep site with a view to going home. But after one day of being at Sandbeck, we could see a difference. She was chattering away, member who we were and our names. After 2 weeks we could see a complete difference. Mum has vascular dementia, so her having interaction and
proper care she was a totally different woman. Myself and the family have decided that we would like mum to continue living at Sandbeck. The staff are brilliant.

It was my brother Peter's 79th birthday on 8 September. The staff at Sandbeck House arranged a marvellous afternoon Tea Party for him. Complete with a present, music and everyone singing Happy Birthday.
Chris and Gill were in charge of catering. They laid on a magnificent spread for the
residents and I was invited. The care staff made sure that anyone who could not join the party received a specially selected plate of goodies in their room.
There were drinks, sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiche and other savoury snacks. Biscuits and small cakes galore.
The centre piece, made by Chris, was a white iced fondant Swiss Roll in the shape of a cigarette! Complete with orange filter and a lighted cake candle for Peter to blow out!
Peter really appreciated the care and attention to detail and said that he had not had a birthday party since he was 10 years old. It meant a lot to him and is a happy memory for both of us.
Thank you Sandbeck for making Peter's birthday a very special event

My mum spent the last 3 years in Sandbeck House. I was apprehensive about mum going into a nursing home to be honest, but my fears were unfounded the first time I went to see mum the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The manager was so informative and patient explaining the care side, medications
and any medical procedures mum was going to have. The care mum got was exceptional and I could phone mum any time and even have face to face if I wanted to.
When you walked into the home it was like walking into a big extended family the residents all seemed happy there was a lot of banter between staff and residents which was lovely, nothing was too much trouble and the staff was all very caring and patient towards the residents. Mum loved it there and I can't say thank you enough to the manager and her team.

To the management and all the team at Sandbeck, thank you so much for your outstanding care of my stepfather in the last few weeks of his life. He was only at Sandbeck for 3 weeks, but from the moment he came to you, to the moment he passed away, your level of care was over and above anything we
could have hoped for. With us living so far away, you kept us well-informed between visits. He was very happy with you and as his condition deteriorated and hospice care was offered, all he wanted to do was stay in your care. You have an exceptional team! Thank you.

Efficient Staff who are very caring and friendly.
Comfortable rooms, good food. Do activities with the patients to keep them active. The home is clean but could do with a coat of paint here and there.

My dad has lived at Sandbeck for a number of years now and always says there is nowhere else he'd rather live. The fact he considers it home says a great deal.
I have always found the staff to be caring and compassionate - both with residents and loved ones; available to speak to, promoting open
and honest conversations if there are any worries or concerns and making the time to listen, and respond to, the views of residents and their loved ones.
My dad has always enjoyed the range of activities regularly organised - be they in-home or out-and-about. There are frequent themed events organised which loved ones are invited to and which are always enjoyed by all.
In what must be at times a challenging and stressful sector to work in, I've always felt that the Sandbeck staff team prioritise patient care above all else; care that also extends to the loved ones of their residents.
