View Full Details of Pinehurst Care CentreOverall a varied experience however lack of communication since the care coordinator left from the team - we now get none at all about our mother/grandmother where as she was brilliant with communicating with us. This is disappointing given costs relating to care. Had no idea they stopped getting her up, the room is depressing, miserable, very little natural light. When in the main house it was a lot better, constant entertainment that involved her and when moving over to the dementia unit it was like "that's that now". The home needs a key worker to communicate with families as no-one does it at all now! The activity coordinator in the main home was always very good as was the care coordinator who used to be in the dementia building - sick a great loss losing her. Devastating to see the leaving of the old manager as we really trusted her and there has been no introduction to the new manager as the meeting times are not suitable when I work full time. Carers and hairdresser are lovely though!
I approached my stay here with some trepidation but found the staff to be very reassuring, helpful and kind. The food was good, the bedroom warm and comfortable. Overall, very satisfactory.
All very nice people, especially two members of staff. Food is very good. A pleasant stay. Very friendly and helpful.
Mom has been really happy since coming to Pinehurst - dementia is a debilitating illness and has made my mom anxious, worried, unhappy, and confused. At Pinehurst, they have given my mom reasons to be happy. All the carers are kind, thoughtful, loving, and personal and put Mom first and treat her like a person not someone with dementia! She smiles and laughs. They also do all the other important, essential stuff (food, cleanliness, night-time) but mom is cared for when we, as a family, are struggling to care for her in her home environment - the carers show mom the love that we continue to do as a family but unable with the day to daycare.
Every visit is reassuring. It is always impeccable care and a delight to see my Mother calm, confident, content, and emotionally nourished by true caring souls.
The family is very pleased with all the care my husband has been receiving for the past two years. Thanks to every member of staff.
I can't believe how wonderful the care is at Pinehurst. My mum is so happy and the staff are so caring. The management are friendly and very flexible.
I have been staying here for 6 months. I am very happy here and I have everything I need. Everyone is kind.
Couldn't be better. Look after my mother wonderfully, always with thought for her, compassion and dignity.
I live abroad, so I was very grateful to the Pinehurst manager for her understanding, advice and support, to successfully move Mum from a nursing to a residential/dementia care home, closer to family. Following her face-to-face assessment of Mum in Kent and with her guidance, the move went swiftly and efficiently, with our children last November. Mum welcomed the smiles and hugs of her new carers as she arrived and loved the 'familiar' garden view from her room. I was able to visit her this month and was delighted and reassured to confirm what I had felt during our video chats; that she is more relaxed, happier and healthier in her new 'homely' surroundings. She even does a little gardening again! This is thanks to the professionalism, attentiveness and kindness of her care and management team.
To need to go into care can be a daunting process. At Pinehurst Care Home they go over and above to ensure that all questions and concerns are responded to. They are incredibly sensitive to an individual's needs and do all they can to assist in a smooth transition. I am very impressed with the efficient and professional way Pinehurst Care Home is run. The leadership team are always available should a need arise, and they certainly have their fingers on the pulse of the home. Going the extra mile seems to be in the DNA of all the staff at Pinehurst Care Home, I am always cordially greeted and made to feel part of the bigger family in this home. A tailormade experience is what this home offers!
What a relief, such kind welcoming people work here, caring for my sister and making her feel calmer. Words cannot explain how it makes me feel.
I have lived here for two months now. After being unwell and selling my property I was walking around and found this nice place with all the lovely and caring people. I couldn't have asked for better. I love you all. I will spend the rest of my life here.
My sister is very well looked after. Always clean and tidy. She enjoys her food and always says how she enjoys her meals.
Before Pinehurst, my relative was in a controlling coercive relationship, he has since come back to being the man we knew. I think this is due to the care and attention that my relative thrives and needs. He now has a choice on everything he requires. Activities are of his choice with no pressure to be involved.
Very good and happy with everything.
Comfortable, cheerful and secure.
I came here in very bad health. The staff and management changed my whole life completely and I'm a new person now. I am enjoying every day. Thank you so much Pinehurst.
I am very happy and content. I am perfectly well looked after by the staff. They are very good.
Every time I have visited Mum the staff are all lovely. So smiley, cheerful and helpful. It's never any trouble getting her ready to take her out. They seem very attentive, friendly and respectful.
