View Full Details of Fleming Court Care HomeMy father moved into Fleming Court, Jesmond, in Oct 2025. It had been a stressful time after a stay in hospital and an operation. The move was made as easy as possible by all the management supervisors, carers and housekeeping staff. The room and building in general are clean and pleasantly decorated. It is of a high standard. However, it really is the staff who are the jewel in the crown. Well trained, professional and personable, which you would expect, but extremely warm, friendly and kind. Not just to my father but to my mum and the rest of the family
Excellent care and genuine kindness. My mum is very content with all services delivered. Wide range of activities, and regular entertainment and themed events.
I feel so much happier knowing Peter is getting the care & kindness he deserves. Long may it continue. The staff (all of them) are wonderful, and I never feel I have to come in all day, like I did in my last place.
Friendly, professional & caring staff who clearly care for the residents. They take time to understand their personalities and needs. Also very friendly & supportive to families.
Staff offer sensitive care appropriate resident in the main care. Every effort is made to make the resident feel valued. Mealtimes are well organised to provide a welcome experience. The residents receive personal care and help with meals. Great attention is paid to overall cleanliness.
The care and quality of care is second to none. This is an absolutely beautiful care home of a 5* standard. Management and staff are exemplary. I could not have wished for anything better for my mother.
Mum returned to Fleming Court after 2 and a half weeks in hospital and was warmly welcomed back by the care staff. Everyone made a huge effort to get the equipment she needed, and the care staff have looked after her extremely well. It is a pleasure to visit Fleming Court and every member of staff is welcoming and helpful. The food and activities arranged for residents continues to be excellent.
Happy with the care given to my father. He is happy and the activities that are provided seem fulfilling and engaging. His needs are attended to and the facilities are always clean and tidy.
Comfortable, well cared for happy, carers pleasant and good fun. Looking ahead - improved communication ie visits would be good. Already discussed laundry and availability of clothes (turn around time). Altogether a good place to be!
Have not been at Fleming Court for one year and I am very pleased with my new home environment - my new friends - the kind and caring staff.
I am happy with the excellent care my mother receives in a friendly, supportive environment where her countless needs are met. A kind, supportive team of carers demonstrate empathy and understanding for my mother, who at 93 suffers from increasing cognitive impairment. The environment at Fleming Court is kept to a high standard, clean and welcoming
I would just like to put on record how brilliant the Care Assistant was during a recent health scare my mother-in-law had. The Care Assistant was calm, reassuring and professional throughout, supporting the paramedics and keeping everyone informed. The Care Assistant is a credit to the care home and her profession. Thank you.
Following the death of my wife, I looked after myself at home because of walking problems and a number of falls, ended up with a short stay in the hospital. Both my son and daughter lived away. On the advice of a friend to come into Fleming Court. Since then I have not had a fall.
Visited my uncle who appears very happy and content in his surroundings. We attended the quiz run by the home managers. The staff were very caring and attentive. The home was clean and the food was great. It was nice to see home management stay behind so late to join in with activities with residents.
Staff are very good always pleasant. Food etc good but only soup and sandwiches every day for tea. The only other the point is that the cleaning of dentures with toothpaste is not enough.
The staff are always kind and helpful. They treat Mum with humour and careful stock the room is just right and Mum enjoys the food. Occasionally items get misplaced in the laundry, but it is a very small issue to us.
Staff are brilliant. Very friendly and always happy to help.
Whenever I come to visit usually twice a week the staff and cars are extremely friendly and willing to help offer assistance. They treat my friend with respect and he responds very well towards them. I usually find to say I'm coming to take pizza out and the staff make sure he is ready to pick up when I arrive. there appear to be plenty of activities for residents to participate in and I'm always welcome to join in too.
My mum took up residency at Fleming Court care home 18 months ago. My sister and I cared for her at home following my dad's sudden death. She has Alzheimer’s disease and upon entering the home her dementia was moderate. The home can no longer meet her needs as her condition has declined to a more advanced state. Fleming is very light, bright, spacious and well-furnished. Nice dining area with good food choices and well presented. Most carers do a good job although too stretched to interact as much with the residents as they would like. There is one very nice well-being coordinator but she is only part-time. On occasion there is entertainment but generally, there is just nothing for them to do. Some residents just need some emotional support and someone to comfort them and that’s where I think there is a problem. Many times I have seen boredom escalate to agitation among these elderly people. Disappointing management. Poor interaction and make themselves scarce.
My mother-in-law has resided in Fleming Court since July 2023. Having looked at other care homes initially we were delighted to find Fleming Court as was she. The experience so far has been very positive, the care, the environment, the facilities and the hospitality. My mother-in-law reports feeling safe, cared for and very happy here.
